B&M Zero-G Elements Question
coastercrzyjames replied to Wes's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Yeah i love the zero g roll, thats definitely my favorite part of a well built B&M roller coaster. There's nothing better than going through an inversion while feeling weightlessness, it's AWESOME! But yeah i do agree about the zero g roll on batman, it isn't as good and kind of lacking. Maybe the pace there is too fast? And Kumba and Scream! both have amazing zero g rolls. My favorite on an invert would have to be Montu. It's the one inverted coaster where i've felt the zero g roll the best. But yeah i too have always wondered why the inverted zero g rolls look different, like a more flat look rather than the more definite curved top. Thanks for the insight guys. -
CARS! The Car Super Thread
coastercrzyjames replied to Jordan Shankman's topic in Random, Random, Random
I drive a p.o.s!! It's a 1992 Jeep Cherokee Sport. It needs work, such as a new front end and suspension system, the tie rods are bad and it makes a loud popping noise everytime the steering wheel is turned. I just need money so i can fix it up. . . But i've been driving it for a year and a half now. My brother and i are going to put a six inch lift kit on it, since the suspension needs to be overhauled anyways. I'm debating whether i should put the money into it, or buy a newer car. I love to travel and take road trips a lot, so maybe a newer car would be a much better choice. -

Elitch Gardens Discussion Thread
coastercrzyjames replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Wow, it's nice to see the park to improve. I haven't been to Elitch Gardens since August 2003, and at that time it was still owned by Six Flags. I don't remember the park being too bad, but it definitely needed some TLC back then. And as for The Flying Coaster, yeah that ride was nothing fantastic, I remember when I went it was fairly new and had a big hype. I rode it and thought it pretty much sucked, IMO. Wouldn't mind visiting again if the park had some better things to offer, especially some custom roller coasters and not Vekoma clones. But then again at least it says a decent park, more than i can say about anywhere here in AZ. -
^ Yeah you're right, some opinions of mine were better unsaid. I'm sorry. However, I do love how a good 20% us on here are gay. Maybe there's hope yet to find a guy that loves coasters just as much as i do. Previous bf's of mine thought it was a dumb interest.

Yeah, i never posted my reply to this topic, however i did cast my vote like two weeks ago. Anyways, I'm gay. I just don't act a certain way due to my sexuality. I'm just a normal guy, nobody really can even tell that I'm gay, besides the fact that I have a sharp appearance. I'm not flamboyant in any way and i find guys that are over the top flamboyant get on my nerves really fast. Sorry if i offend anyone. I have friends that are like this, and they're only good in small doses. I'm just your average ordinary guy. Although I do find select women attractive too and wouldn't mind experimenting some, so I'm basically a very open minded guy. I'm just sexual.

Roughest coaster
coastercrzyjames replied to jbuck's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I'd have to go with Psyclone at SFMM and X at SFMM last time i rode it was rough too, but it was still enjoyable. Ah another ride that i found rough was Python at BGA. Good classic ride but pretty rough!! Everyone complains about Viper at SFMM too, but i dont find that ride rough, I actually like it. -

Wow I've always wanted to work at Cedar Point for a season and this just boosted my desire to do that!! I'm determined to apply and get a job next season, 2009, because i cant do it this summer. But i definately want to do it, i've always wanted to work at a theme park as well and with Cedar Point offering employee housing, it's the best candidate. I cant wait. That's an entire year away before i can apply though. Thanks for all the info guys!

I must say, that seeing all the updates and the trip reports and photos from West Coast Bash really made me want to go to SFMM. It's been three months since i was there last. Too bad I didn't get the opportunity to go to this event, it really looked like a good time. There's always future events I guess. I can't wait til my next trip to SFMM, especially after X2 opens. And I really liked what I saw from the Sky Tower, especially the night shots, they looked amazing!

Six Flags Indiana Adventures
coastercrzyjames replied to DBru's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Wow, very nice park!! I really like it, and the story lines as well. How well does it operate on your PC though? I know i hate making really large parks on RCT3, the game is such a resource hog and my PC isn't as good as it could be, so it makes playing the game a nightmare, especially on parks that have night-time play. This park would be fun to attend in real life though. Good job! -
Wow hahaha sounds like they got this idea from the game Thrillville. They had entertainers in the form of dancing cheerleaders on there too. Hey, it's more proof that management must be using video games, (rct, thrillville, etc.) to figure out how to run an actual park!! Just kidding, though. But yeah I think it is kind of a cheesy idea, say the least, but if it works and the general public likes it, then okay. I'd like to see what the routines are, haha!

Wow that ride looks like it should be alot of fun. And yeah i agree it does look like an X-Car Coaster model. Hmmm maybe i'll need to plan a trip to Florida in the near future. About time I have a reason for going back to Universal Studios. Haven't actually been to the Universal Park, but I thought IOA was nice when i went there, but could have had a few more coasters, and I was more into BGA instead. Cant wait to see more on this ride though. Looks like fun!

Weirdest Things The 'GP' Have Said
coastercrzyjames replied to maliboomer's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Okay so I was at SFMM with my brother and his friend and we were in line for Colossus, in the boarding row isles. This old lady with her son was behind me and my brother. She asked us, wanting to clarify that she was riding the white roller coaster and not the blue one behind us (Scream!). We had a good laugh about that. I mean it was very obvious which ride we're in line for! I dont know it was just funny. We joked about that all day. **Thinks to myself being a smart a$$: Yeah you board this ride (which is obviously running on a white track leaving the station) and then it magically transforms into Scream!.* (That'd be an interesting idea though, hmmm?) -

Hey everyone! My name is James and I live in eastern Arizona, about two hours east of Phoenix to be exact. I've been fascinated with roller coasters for the past eight years. I always loved playing roller coaster games, and even once dreamed of being a roller coaster designer/engineer. Right now I'm just a college student, trying to figure out what to do with my life. The park that I visit the most would be SFMM, and i normally go at least 2-3 times per year; and that's a nine to ten hour drive. I wish I could get out to parks more often, there are many parks i would still love to go and visit. My roller coaster count is rather low, i've only ridden 33 different rides. I have yet to go to the park which is closest to my home, Castles 'N Coasters in Phoenix, maybe I will sometime just to say I've gone. My friends think I'm crazy, but I think it'd be awesome to work at a theme park for a summer. Something random about me is that I love to sing and act. I'm involved in theater and choir at my college, it's a lot of fun for me. I also enjoy camping and mountain biking. I'm looking forward to meeting other fellow coaster enthusiasts. I've known about this site for a while now and just recently decided to join. I always love the photo updates, they're so hilarious!
