  1. Very nice photos. Some of the more artistic I've seen on TPR.
  2. Pretty scary photos there - but the report on Screamscape alluding to Intamin's supposed 'Decade of Destruction' is absolutely infuriating. Supposedly every incident on Intamin rides in the last 10 years is 100% the company's fault, when we all know that rider error, ride operator error and (for e.g. in the case of California Screamin' and Superman: Tower of Power) maintenance error on the part of the park has been to blame for the most part. We're yet to hear all the details about what exactly happened on Xcelerator, but I suspect that - again - full blame can't just be attributed to Intamin. The ride has operated without incident since 2002, after all.
  3. Great photos - and info! This is a park high on my 'must-do' list.
  4. That was cool - I love the sound of the LSMs, launching you right out of the station. This ride is looking good!
  5. Wow they're pretty cool - especially the aerial photo. That car ride, I guess, is long gone.
  6. I road it last year (in July I think), and it was horrible. I know it has gotten great reviews in the past, which is basically what I was trying to say. It really isn't the original engineer's fault if a ride gets rough or smooth, it is the park's. I rode Georgia Cyclone in May last year and it was one of my greatest coaster experiences. The airtime was stunning and it didn't seem too rough. But I did notice it was noticably rougher with an almost-empty train later in the day.
  7. Great pics! Six Flags have done a great job and I really think the re-fit works well for Great Adventure. Hopefully the same will be true for SFNE.
  8. Congrats guys! I will have to have a big gay theme park wedding myself some day.
  9. I am so impressed with this - it looks great for families. It's cool to see so much themeing at a Six Flags park - nevermind if it's slightly misplaced!
  10. Great photos - cheers! They are quite unique. I can never get enough KI porn.
  11. Those new trains are HOTNESS! I need to get me some Southern action asap (Southern theme parks that is!).
  12. Cool TR! I love old Schwarzkopf flats like the Bayern Kurve. Good on Kennywood to keep it going.
  13. Thanks for posting these! The ride looks AWESOME and those sudden drops look loads of fun!
  14. Does anyone know why on earth Pleasure Beach Blackpool might have slipped off the list? I believe their attendance used to be the highest in Britain with 5.5 million in 2007?!
  15. Beautiful photos, I especially enjoyed those taken from Americana - you get GREAT new views! - really showcases the park well. Big parks adding flats is always a good thing.
  16. A few weird things I noticed: - A Jew playing sports! - An Aussie in Japan! - Balls being thrown at foreign objects! - Robb with cream on his face! - Kid-Tums in an inappropriate t-shirt! Overall, Japan looks so crazy and so fun, this Kiwi must find some wings again, and soon!
  17. Nice trip report - very thorough. As a 'flat ride enthusiast' I especially enjoyed it! Cheers!
  18. These are great - I love the way the parks used to advertise. I just had a question: did Six Flags Over Georgia once have a dolphin/sea life show? It seems there are jumping dolphins in just about every park brochure from the 70s...
  19. Wow - these are cool to see. I especially love the Six Flags Over Georgia advert for their parachute tower with the model and diagram. Advertising was very different back then! Very nice.
  20. I'm not sure about the fun quota either, but those Twist and Turn coasters look kind of like a 'Tilt-a-Whirl on a Track'! I look forward to seeing the trains.
  21. Hmm, this post makes me kind of glad I didn't set aside a whole day for Animal Kingdom. It's a great park but you're right some of it just isn't 'Walt Disney standard'.
  22. Nice report, nice photos; the wonderful thing about TPR is that we have high standards, unlike so many websites where everything goes... BeemerBoy is a respected poster; be nice to him and we'll be nice to you too!
  23. Agreed! This is going to be a brilliant new ride for Mirabilandia and Europe for that matter.
  24. I thought this was pretty good, but I would like *someone* to bail out Six Flags if need be! Colbert is better on Strangers with Candy as Mr. Chuck Noblett. Now that is one show sure to offend just about everybody!
  25. Interesting maps. Twisted Twins is mysteriously missing from the SFKK map... Two-Face is mysteriously missing from the SFA map...
