Great footage! Fascinating stuff. Those National Georgraphic clips used a little too much footage of Revolution while talking about Arrow Dynamics for my liking... Does anyone know why the Arrow pipeline never caught on? Was it simply too costly - or no park look an interest?

Wow that clip of Disneyland was cool ('40 Pounds of Trouble'). Kind of an extended commercial for Disneyland - with a great cast to boot. The Matterhorn looks fun despite those bad Arrow transitions - never their strong point...

Did you ever visit Future World in Rangsit? That looked like a very ambitious theme park. An interesting Schwarzkopf coaster ended up there but there's very little info around about it.

I am so addicted to those Disney simulators and quite the master of operations I must say. ToT - piece of cake with me in charge! But that is because I've been playing them for two days rather than working - whoops... As for the Towers ones - they just plain suck. But thanks for posting them anyway!

I LOVE carnivals! It's what got me turned on to theme parks and roller coasters in the first place, and I still love going back to them. (Is it just me or do rides seem WAY more intense at the carnival?)

I'm going to Disney World and Universal Studios / Islands of Adventure, and also Six Flags Over Georgia, in May! Can't wait - it will be my first visit to a big theme park outside Australasia. I feel so virginal!

I wish my 'whanau' could visit a water park this cool in New Zealand.

Thanks very much! I will finally fulfill lots of 'life' goals, i.e. I've never been on an inverted coaster (?!), never been on a wooden coaster (?!), never been on a stand-up... I could go on! NZ, apart from the lack of thrill rides, has its charms.

Hello Symbiotic! I'm also new here. I live in New Zealand which, believe me, is NOT a good place to live if you're a coaster enthusiast! However, I got my first taste for coasters when I plucked up the courage to ride an SDC Galaxi when I was a kid at New Zealand's now-defunct Footrot Flats amusement park (yes, that was the name - after a Kiwi comic book series). In 1986 I finally went upside down on an Arrow Loop & Corkscrew at Rainbow's End in Auckland, which is still operating and pretty much our only major coaster. Oh, well. In May I'm off to Georgia and Florida and really satisfy my thrillseeker urges. Fun! Matt
