Very nice photos. Some of the more artistic I've seen on TPR. -
Pretty scary photos there - but the report on Screamscape alluding to Intamin's supposed 'Decade of Destruction' is absolutely infuriating. Supposedly every incident on Intamin rides in the last 10 years is 100% the company's fault, when we all know that rider error, ride operator error and (for e.g. in the case of California Screamin' and Superman: Tower of Power) maintenance error on the part of the park has been to blame for the most part. We're yet to hear all the details about what exactly happened on Xcelerator, but I suspect that - again - full blame can't just be attributed to Intamin. The ride has operated without incident since 2002, after all.

Great photos - and info! This is a park high on my 'must-do' list. -

That was cool - I love the sound of the LSMs, launching you right out of the station. This ride is looking good! -
The Legacy of Summers/Dinn

I road it last year (in July I think), and it was horrible. I know it has gotten great reviews in the past, which is basically what I was trying to say. It really isn't the original engineer's fault if a ride gets rough or smooth, it is the park's. I rode Georgia Cyclone in May last year and it was one of my greatest coaster experiences. The airtime was stunning and it didn't seem too rough. But I did notice it was noticably rougher with an almost-empty train later in the day. -

Congrats guys! I will have to have a big gay theme park wedding myself some day. -
Great photos - cheers! They are quite unique. I can never get enough KI porn.

Those new trains are HOTNESS! I need to get me some Southern action asap (Southern theme parks that is!). -
Kennywood 09 - opening day!

Cool TR! I love old Schwarzkopf flats like the Bayern Kurve. Good on Kennywood to keep it going. -

2008 Theme Park Attendance Reports
mattnz replied to a topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Does anyone know why on earth Pleasure Beach Blackpool might have slipped off the list? I believe their attendance used to be the highest in Britain with 5.5 million in 2007?! -

Beautiful photos, I especially enjoyed those taken from Americana - you get GREAT new views! - really showcases the park well. Big parks adding flats is always a good thing. -

Shane's Amusement Attic

These are great - I love the way the parks used to advertise. I just had a question: did Six Flags Over Georgia once have a dolphin/sea life show? It seems there are jumping dolphins in just about every park brochure from the 70s... -

Wow - these are cool to see. I especially love the Six Flags Over Georgia advert for their parachute tower with the model and diagram. Advertising was very different back then! Very nice. -
Hmm, this post makes me kind of glad I didn't set aside a whole day for Animal Kingdom. It's a great park but you're right some of it just isn't 'Walt Disney standard'.

Nice report, nice photos; the wonderful thing about TPR is that we have high standards, unlike so many websites where everything goes... BeemerBoy is a respected poster; be nice to him and we'll be nice to you too! -

Agreed! This is going to be a brilliant new ride for Mirabilandia and Europe for that matter. -
Six Flags May Not Survive 2009...
mattnz replied to sfmmrules!'s topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I thought this was pretty good, but I would like *someone* to bail out Six Flags if need be! Colbert is better on Strangers with Candy as Mr. Chuck Noblett. Now that is one show sure to offend just about everybody! -
Six Flags New Park Map For 2009 Season

Interesting maps. Twisted Twins is mysteriously missing from the SFKK map... Two-Face is mysteriously missing from the SFA map...
