  1. Opinions from groups of people coming out of the ride (These people were together.) were doesn't this ride belong at Disney World (They said that it wasn't that thrilling. They said not me.), that was lame, and the other group of people said that was kind of cool. These are other people's opinions, and not mine. My opinions are the theming is sadistic. There IS enough theming. I think it will scare children. I think the teens think it's not a thrilling ride. Who is this ride for? I guess it's for me than, and the people that said it's kind of cool. I really like the non-spinning mice, and I don't care about the theming being a little scary. I wish it braked more though because I enjoy hard-hitting brakes like Cheetah Chase. I think that part is fun. One time I waited an hour and 8 minutes, another time I waited 25 minutes, and the other times were under 10 minutes. It was packed when people at the park were there. So, I do think this ride is great. I have rides as great, good, and bad, and I say great, but yet I think all the other non-spinning mice are great. I guess if you don't like the other non-spinning mice I don't think you will enjoy this ride.
  2. ^^^Top Thrill Dragster and Kingda Ka costed nowhere near any B&M coaster. Yes, you say 25 million for Top Thrill Dragster, but that price is very under-flated. I imagine the reason why they didn't dump X already, and want to keep it is because it cost so much money, and you want to keep a very costly coaster you paid big bucks for.
  3. As for the article, who were those people that were on the Wipeout, and Roger Rabbit? They were kids that fell out of those rides. They said the kid slid out of the Wipeout. I feel that kids cause a lot of accidents on themselves. They want to get out of the ride because they just don't like it. So, they try to get out of it. I think that's what happened. The Sizzler, you have the same thing. I hate this ride, and let me try to get off when the ride is still moving. If they didn't have that mentality, look at how many lives, or injuries the world could have saved.
  4. ^^The point with this new ride is they are thinking that it's not going to be so long. Hopefully, they will run more trains because they shouldn't be broke as much. I don't really get the unloading of this ride. Where do you unload now? If it doesn't have an unloading area, does that mean you have to walk back to were it used to be?
  5. ^^I'm saying the other option it to bend your knees, and rest your feet on the plastic part. It works fine for me. Stretching your legs on the whole ride just sounds like it would be a hard thing to do. Now, maybe it will feel better because of padding they added, and I won't need to do that when I get out there again.
  6. Hold your legs out and you'll be fine. I wonder why they didn't just let your legs hang like they do on any other floorless ride. That would have gotten that roughness problem out of the way, i think, considering i think the legs are what most people complain about. Oh well, it never bothered me so i can't wait to get back on X. Its been too long. =] Why didn't they fix that part of the train? How about having some pads on the seats to help with that problem. When I don't want that rough calve ride I just pick my legs up, and put them on that plastic piece. I bend them. As someone said before, what is up with the loading and unloading part of the ride? How long are the dispatches going to be? Is it going to be like a Batman the Ride, or is it going to take so long like it did before?
  7. I got nothing back from SFA. SFOT emailed me back, and they painted Batman the Ride the next year. Problem solved. That wasn't a "problem" with operations, but I just told them it looked really bad. Let's face it; they knew it was looking bad already.
  8. I've been on Hydra, Dominator, Scream, and I liked them all. Hydra might have been the best one to tell you truth. I haven't ridden them in the same year, and I kind of forgot, but Hydra is like the Ring of Fire, has airtime, has a cobra roll, corkscrews, and another inversion. Dominator, and Scream both have loops, cobra roll, and corkscrews I believe. Hydra might be missing a loop, but I really like it.
  9. Deja Vu has groupers at the park where it is located. A big reason besides the capacity thing why they are there is because you feel like a tuna in can when there isn't a grouper. Thus, the park should have put lines that go back and forth in the station, but no they can't think smart enough to do something like that. It's too obvious. Groupers and stopping people from going to the rows like with flashpass usually means that there will be some empty rows because the groupers can't fill the train anyway. Parks need to realize to not make the stations for rides big. It's so darn stupid. Make more lines that go back, and forth, and have a very small station. Judge Roy Scream at Six Flags Over Texas is the type of station that I think every ride should have. The worst station I can think of is Viper at Great America, and than you have Deja Vu.
  10. I want to include no Cedar Fair parks (That's because of #1. They force you to go around even when the park is completely dead.) Since this is a good thread, I will say the following are great operations: Six Flags Over Texas Six Flags Great America Six Flags St. Louis Cypress Gardens Epcot MGM (Hollywood Studios) Animal Kingdom Kiddieland Six Flags Magic Mountain Half mad at Busch Gardens Tampa. They only let you reride the ride twice in a row. Boo to Disneyland and Magic Kingdom for taking the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad train off. Boo to California Adventures for the employee being a totally jerk. Boo to Six Flags Hurricane Harbor (IL) for not having enough rafts in the lazy river, and slides. Boo to Six Flags Over Georgia for less trains, and closing the park early. I said about Six Flags America before.
  11. I don't believe anything about that. We don't have a Thomas Town, and they said they are supposed to put 2 in a year. They wanted to give it to us the year Wiggle's came in, but said that was to much in one year. I also heard a rumor about 2 wooden coasters. Someone thinks one will go in SFOT, and where's the other one going? Magic Mountain said they are getting a new ride, and Screamscape believes that it could SFNE's Dark Knight. I have no idea, but I don't think SF is willing to put up the dough for a Dive Machine. The Dive Machine rumor started awhile ago when we got Hurricane Harbor. Maybe, the park did want to put one in because than it soon changed hands with the park. Another reason why this rumor could have been perpetuated is for the fact that the park needs all the B&M coasters they make. Surely, the park doesn't have the floorless, or the sitdown, but what do people want? They want the newest coaster that a company makes, and that would be the Dive Machine. Now, you have Splash Water Falls, and Deja Vu gone, and people think automatically that they are going to put the splashdown part where Splash Water Falls is. B&M contract with Busch is going to run out supposedly, and who likes a lot of B&Ms? Six Flags does of course, so it's just a rumor, and that's what I will believe. If the other people in charge, I would totally believe it, but this guy I say no to. The only reason I see for putting this coaster in is the fact that they might be taking away something huge, and thus you should give people something in return. That's the only reason I see Six Flags putting this ride in. That would be saying Hurricane Harbor is not included with admission anymore, and look here; you have a big dive machine coaster so you don't get mad at us. ___________________ I want to say wow. No bad comments about this ride compared to the Great Adventure one even though they are the same layout.
  12. I just really want to see how they worked this stuff into this theater. Those weren't old queues from the theater as you said. They didn't have any queues for the Theater before. They had the doors, and they would open, and you are in. Maybe, I'm just not thinking, but I don't think so. The Looney Tunes show just stunk the last 5 years. There was a time when the Looney Tunes show was actually good. I believe the reason why the decided to not have that as a theatre was because they wanted to eliminate cost firstmost, but they also didn't want another kids show. They added the Wiggle's World show to that area, and that's a kids show. Does the line exit into the Superman exit line, and than into the store? Do they take your picture, and is the Superman booth now the Dark Knight's picture booth? Thanks for sharing your report by the way.
  13. Yeah, that's really scary. I'll remember to go away from all the enthusiasts at the park. Thanks for reminding me. I can't believe all this stuff is from enthusiasts that go on kiddie coasters just for the credit. They don't even hope that the kiddie coaster might be fun. They might hate the SLC's, but every park they go to, they have to go on them because it has a new name, and it's a new credit. Is X-Flight a new credit because it's moving to a new park? People can do what the heck they want as long as they aren't endangering other people. If this guy wants to ride that many rides, let him be.
  14. You didn't go on the Dark Knight when it rained?? How long was the Dark Knight line for you?
  15. 1. Deja Vu 2. Screamin' Eagle 3. La Vibora 4. Mr. Freeze 5. Batman the Ride (SFOT, SFOG, SFGAm, SFMM, not SFStL) 6. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad (Disneyland > Magic Kingdom) 7. Georgia Cyclone 8. Superman: Ride of Steel (Six Flags America) 9. Top Thrill Dragster 10. Space Mountain (Magic Kingdom ONLY)
  16. It's marketed as a thrill coaster to entice the teens and tweens. Younger people can still get on it though. The Dark Knight movie is a PG-13 movie. The preshow is kind of scary for the youngsters. They put in a box to hide the fact that it's a mouse coaster. They didn't want to spend the big bucks on an Intamin, or B&M so they put it in a box, and they want the teens/tweens to think it's a really thrilling coaster compared to just a kiddie mouse coaster. I like the standard mice coaster, but I'm just saying what I feel how they are advertising it.
  17. That's the world we live in when everyone assumes the worst because incidents have happened. It doesn't matter if Big Mike goes to a kiddie amusement park, and no one is there. It just matters when there are people in the vicinity. I didn't see the postings of these pictures, but it was a picture of the mom as he as said. He likes coasters, and it just trying to rack them up as much as possible. I don't go to Kiddieland because of the darn children. I go because I love the Polyp, Dippin Drop, Tilt-A-Whirl, Carousel (What a beauty!!), and the Scooters. The Scrambler is good, and the Little Dipper is good too along with the train which is quite better than any other big train at Cedar Fair, or Six Flags park that I've been on. Come on, the antique cars goes down a hill in which you can go a little fast compared to a boring antique car ride somewhere else. People have different intentions, and they aren't always the worst case scenario as everyone thinks.
  18. I would have to say B&M. They are just awesome. Inverted, sitdown, stand-up, and flying are my favorite. Dive machine, was a big disappointment though.
  19. ^I thought it said witnesses heard noises. I don't think it says about employees. The gp doesn't know what the Yo-Yo sounds like. Yo-Yo's make noises, and they aren't broke at all. Try one out, and see if you hear noises. I think you will hear noises, and they might sound weird to you if you have never been on it before. Rode: Cypress Gardens one Santa's Village one which is now Windy City Amusements All Star Amusements (Pink) was awesome, but (Green) stinks Gaugea Lake one Six Flags Over Texas one Six Flags St. Louis one I think the Six Flags, All Star (Green) and Cedar Fair ones stink. Tilt is very non-existant. Cypress Gardens is a WOW ride!
  20. I think Great Adventure might be a very awesome ride. I think it's great that they have cloned rides (or similar rides to other parks) because the New Jersey, and New York people probably love those rides. However, I don't think it's worth it for me to go there. Nitro - I don't like Raging Bull, so forget that. Medusa- I like Dorney Park, and they have Hydra, or Magic Mountain has Scream! Superman Ultimate Flight - Find it at Great America, and I think it's great. Rolling Thunder - Maybe, it's like Judge Roy Scream at SFOT. I don't know. All I hear is that it's rough, and don't ride it. Skull Mountain - I think it's probably similar to Runaway Mountain at SFOT. I crave SFOT. Dark Knight - At Great America. Kingda Ka - At Cedar Point (a little different but still) Batman the Ride - at SFOT, SFGAm, SFMM, plus more. Great American Scream Machine (I don't care for it, but it's similar at SFMM.) El Toro - For one different ride, it's not worth it to me. I think it's probably a great park, but I just don't see the need to visit when I can get those rides at other parks I visit.
  21. ^How do they fold up the swings like that? Is there a control on the operators panel that does that?? Is it the tower itself. What button makes it do that? This is when they are ready to fold the ride up.
  22. I thought when they meant the pole, that they were talking about the tilting mechanism. Since you know about the Yo-Yo, can you tell me how the Yo-Yo works with these arms? Can you tell me not in a totally technical way how the arms spread out, and than come back in. For an Orbiter, I see the hydraulics that make it spread out. This ride, the stuff that makes it go is on top of the ride, and you can't visually see it. Also, how does the Zierer Wave Swinger work when it does it's tilting thing?
  23. You can also get stuck upside on a roller coaster. Don't go on any Arrow coasters. Intamin wood or steel roller coasters crash. Don't go on any of them. Ride Trade Generation Drop hurts people's feet. Don't go on that. WED coasters crash and derail. Don't go on any of them. Someone died while going on a Vekoma. Don't go on Vekomas. I don't want to hear that just carnivals are unsafe. If you say that, say all rides are unsafe than. I think all rides are safe, but things happen. Things just happen. They say that the pole collapsed. At first, it sounds just like Six Flags Over Texas thing. Six Flags Over Texas with less injuries: http://cbs11tv.com/local/Six.Flags.Texas.2.493243.html However, the ride looks like they are first going to start and put the ride up. That's how it looks. Is there a control with the buttons that let's you go to this position? I don't know. I wish I knew. It comes off a truck, and than they put it like this. Than, they change it when the arms are spread out, and for people to go on it. They say collapase, and I immediately think, it fell over. That's not what happened. They say the pole collapsed in the middle of the ride, but than they say that kids hit the ground, and parts of the ride.
  24. Did the coaster boom really help Magic Mountain though? The things I hear about X is that the trains need a lot of fixing, and the time it takes to send one out is a long time. Now, they are fixing it, and hopefully things will go good, but it's yet another 10 million on top of whatever it originally cost. The other one by S&S which I think is priced higher than Arrow is 31 million. The estimated attendance for a park like Blackpool is only 5.5 million, and the roller coasters don't seem that unique like Six Flags Magic Mountain. There are manufacturers we don't even think of like Maurer Söhne, Gestaurler, or Mack (until now) that they could have bought rides from. The thing is that these ride manufacturers seem to have less capacity than the Vekoma's, B&M's, and Intamins as they are running smaller trains for the most part. I like X too, and I would miss it if it ever left Magic Mountain, but I don't think it's a smart decision to buy a ride first because it might flop, and leave within 7, or 9 years. Let the UK buy it, and go over there, and research that ride. Maybe, even let someone buy 2 before you dive into buy a coaster. Go twice in a year to see how Air is doing over there. Are people's heads being banged on it. What are people's reactions?
