Lost Camera at West Coast Bash
VivaLaVibora replied to ebl's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Who knows? They are taking out the bumper cars, or not using them at SFNE, and SFOT. I think SFGAdv might be on that list too. Shapiro thinks it's too low capacity, and rides that are low capacity must go. -
What's your favorite Flat ride?
VivaLaVibora replied to FlyingScooter's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
SFOG has a lot more than 2 flats. I think you mean it has 2 flats that you think are exciting. What is a whip? Ha. Ha. You see a women has a whip in her ...., and .... Really, a whip is a square figured type of ride, and the 10 or so cars turn the corners really fast, so it whips you around. http://flatrides.com/Ride%20Index%20Pages/whip.html As for me, my favorite flat is the: Tivoli Orbiter (that tilts so that the cars are almost perpendicular to the ground.) There are other Orbiters that don't do that, and they are just bad, and boring. Others great flats in my opinion are: Chance Zipper Tivoli / KMG Spin Out (It was more made by KMG than by Tivoli in my opinion though.) KMG Fireball /Afterburner Zamperla Power Surge Chance Wipeout Zamperla Shocker Chance Chaos Sartori Crazy Surf (It's looks similar to the KMG Miami I have never been on.) Eyerly Spider or Octopus Sellner Tilt-A-Whirl (NOT G5 like Cypress Gardens, and I think electric aren't that great.) Chance Yo-Yo (that tilts thus so the cars in the air aren't directly behind one another when tilting. That means there is barely any tilt when one car is directly behind another car, or even very close to another car. SFOT has a horrible Yo-Yo in my opinion. Chance Alpine Bobs / Music Fest / Thunderbolt / Flying Bobs KMG Freak Out Hi-Lite Rides Scat Tivoli Force 10 Moser Spring Ride PTC Carousel (that's run fast) Shrawtkopf Polyp Someone asked a long time ago, what is Tower of Terror at MGM (Disney's Hollywood Studios). It's a drop ride. You board this elevator, go through this story about people dying in the tower, and than you get to the drop sequence. The ride drops many times up and down. It's different than the other drop towers that go up the tower, and than release once. It's goes up and down many times, and you feel airtime in your seat. When I think of why they call a ride flat, I think of that it's in one place, and it's flat in one area. It's doesn't take up 9000 feet of track, but it's stationary like someone said. I think towers should be a flat ride than. Thus, add to that list of greats, the Tower of Terror. I personally like DCA's better because I don't care about the story. I want the drops! When you ride that ride once a day, you think let's enjoy the story. When you ride it 20 times, you are sick of the story already, and just want to get to the dropping part. I'm the second person. For the SPIDER person, this is sort of like a Spider. It's an Octopus, but it's almost the same thing as a Spider. The cars spin on their own through the ride. A Spider has 2 cars on each arm while the Octopus has 1 car on each arm. This is the spider, but it's too dark at night to see what's happening. http://youtube.com/watch?v=qbL5eN2EknY This is a Troika: http://youtube.com/watch?v=Ly6i-bMuIqg -

The only reason I looked at this trip report was to see what Six Flags sold. Considering you are saying that the Shrawkoptf Shuttle Loop is the best ride, that must be one pretty bad park. -
I'm going to SFOT on 3-21-08
VivaLaVibora replied to haydawg149's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Shockwave most likely won't be open along with Tony Hawk. They said that Shockwave won't be open til at least April. They are missing something special called Shockwave. I want to go there, but I won't go if Shockwave isn't open. I don't care if Tony Hawk is open, but I don't want to miss Shockwave. The rides that are going to have longer lines than others should be Runaway Mountain, Mr. Freeze, and La Vibora. These rides have less capacity especially Runaway Mountain. Runaway Mountain had 2 trains when I was there, and they only have 12 people in each train. It's an awesome ride in my opinion, but the line will be long. So, go there first, and than go to La Vibora. Sit in the front of the car on La Vibora. Next, go to Mr. Freeze. When I was there, Mr. Freeze didn't open right on time so I'm thinking it doesn't always open up first thing. Flashback is a typical boomerang, and I think it's fun. I had a tough time finding Judge Roy Scream. It's out of the park. You go under a tunnel in the park, and go to the other side. Techinically, it's in the park, but it's not. I was so lost finding that ride. Look at the map carefully. I remember going behind a building and turning right to get to that ride. It's worth finding this ride though. Ask an employee if you can't find it. I say avoid Texas Giant. It's going to beat you up. The regular mine train (not mini one) is quite fun for what it is. For flats, I say that Rock N Rocket (Intamin Space Shuttle) is worth going on just because it's becoming a dying bread. They are taking out those rides left and right. They are taking it out at Great Adventure. The rodeo (Breakdance) is boring. The funniest, and stupidest flat at that park is right by the Texas Giant. It's a boot ride where all these boots go up and down during the ride. It's just stupid, fun, and I liked it. The Yo-Yo (swings) doesn't tilt, and is boring to me. This park has dark ride themed to Bugs Bunny characters, but I think it's poorly done. I don't think it's a Sally ride at all. Crazy Legs which is the Huss Troika is pretty fun if you don't have a Troika near the parks you go to. It's near the Batman the Ride. The rafting ride isn't the greatest. It doesn't have the greatest rapids. I imagine after the accident they had, they started to lower the height of the rapids. So, it's understandable. -
As for World's of Fun, I haven't been there, but these are things you should know: The Spinning Dragons is the same layout as Tony Hawk. I believe the Patriot is the same ride as Talon. I thought Talon was a good invert instead of a great invert like Raptor, Montu, Batman the Ride, and Dueling Dragons (Ice). Boomerangs are at many amusement parks. The Morgan Mamba might be like the one at Dorney Park (Steel Force). I been on that one, and I got zippo airtime the whole time while Raging Bull will give you at least some airtime, but nothing like I really want. Dinn wooden coasters to me seem to be "on the wild" side. It's not necessarily a bad thing because I love the Wild One at SFA, and Georgia Cyclone at SFOG. However, I hated Texas Giant (SFOT), and I didn't like Raging Wolf Bobs (former Gaugea Lake). Yet, you have SFKK Thunder Run which was just okay, and it wasn't that rough. Mean Streak is another Dinn at Cedar Point which everyone seems to hate.

Semi Photo TR: CGA Opening Day
VivaLaVibora replied to Angry_Gumball's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Yes, Demon has always had 3 trains, even back in the Turn of the Century days. Paramount for some reason stopped using the 3rd train. SFGAm, however, still runs all 3 trains pretty often during the summer (and Fright Fest if they have enough employees). No, SFGAm doesn't use all three trains often. They mostly usually two trains. Heck, we haven't seen the red train before this year. It's been gone for at least 2 years. SFGAm has a red train, a yellow train, and a black train. It sounds like you are complaining about stupid things. Wow, they changed the names of 2 rides. They had too. Heck, Drop Zone sounds like a horrible name to begin with. I think that old sign looks ugly. It's just a name. By the way, it's called "Drop Tower: Scream Zone" now so it's not just Drop Tower as everyone is acting like why don't they just call Vortex stand-up coaster? No one complains about the Huss Condor being the Condor, a Matterhorn being a Matterhorn, or a Super Himilaya being a Super Himilaya. If SFGAm called Batman the Ride "Superhero", I would still go to the park. It's because the contract ran out, and they didn't want to pay for it. So, that's what you have to deal with. It's not like I'm going to boycott the park because of something like that. It's a name. I would be more mad if they take rides out that I really liked. Whoever, had the idea of removing your Troika, and the Enterprise had the right idea. Those are walk-on rides at SFGAm. They need some better flats, and those are really old rides. I like those rides, but they are walk-on at SFGAm. That's the problem with them to the corporation. Because they are walk-on though means that there are going to be more people standing in that roller coaster over there because they aren't on this walk-on flat that I get to ride over and over again. A park shouldn't keep a ride that's not getting the people. It's just not worth it. As the problem with that park, I haven't been there, but I think that park needs to spend the money on the roller coasters. I think that Demon, and Vortex (Iron Wolf most likely) should probably leave that park because they are on the rough side. I have no idea if Grizzly is rough or not, but it looks like it may be. It's okay to have Iron Wolf, and Demon at SFGAm because the park has more other roller coasters that overshadow the rough rides, and I think it's bigger too. SFGAm may have Iron Wolf, and Demon, but they have Viper, Raging Bull, Superman, V2, Whizzer, and we did have Deja Vu. I actually think that Demon is great (but other people don't agree), and I think that Iron Wolf is good. I can see why CGA isn't doing that good in Cedar Fair's eyes. -
These are just my opinions: SFStL has Ninja, and Boss which are really rough to me. I also believe that Batman the Ride isn't as great as it is at SFGAm. SFGAm BTR > SFStL BTR I like the mine train roller coaster, Screamin' Eagle, and Mr. Freeze a whole lot at SFStL. Evil Knieval is coming to SFStL. I don't know if that gets you excited, but for me it doesn't. Also, they have Tony Hawk coaster which I haven't been on. That's a spinning coaster, and SFGAm has a spinning coaster called Ragin Cajun. I really don't like Ragin Cajun, and Tony Hawk might be just like that ride, but Tony Hawk could be less intense than Ragin Cajun which could be better than Ragin Cajun for me. If you want an intense mouse spinning coaster, don't even think about Tony Hawk because I know Ragin Cajun is painful spinning fun. At least for me, it's painful. As for flats, SFStL ruined the Yo-Yo. It doesn't tilt anymore. SFStL has a Shoot-the-Chutes while SFGAm has taken their's out. They both have about the same exact drop towers (Intamin- really Ride Trade Gen Drop 2). They both have enterprises. SFStL has like a Evolution type of ride. To me, it kind of reminded me like the enterprise. This is Excalibur. To me, it's nothing great. They both have carousels even SFGAm is slower. I haven't been on SFStL carousel, but SFGAm is quite slow. They both have swinging ships. SFStL is cooler because it's themed to Joker, but it's still just a swinging ship. The scrambler when I went to SFStL seemed better than SFGAm's. I definitely liked SFStL rafting river ride compared to SFGAm's. The rapids are awesome. SFStL has a Scooby-Doo dark ride which is really fun while SFGAm doesn't. SFStL has bumper cars, and so does SFGAm. I don't know how SFStL bumper cars are, but SFGAm's are hard hitting if you get the right car that doesn't go really slow. Also, when it when it rains, just avoid it. It's pointless. SFStL has a falling star ride which is quite fun while SFGAm doesn't. SFStL has a gigantic ferris wheel while SFGAm doesn't. They both have antique car rides even though SFStL is being moved. However, I don't know if SFGAm's will be open this year because they are removing Splash Water Falls. They both have trains. For roller coasters at SFGAm they have: * An awesome Batman the Ride (5 inversions) * Many people think Demon is too short, and sometimes painful (I don't agree with them though.) * With Superman Ultimate Flight, they think it gets boring the more times you ride it because their are only two inversions in the ride. After the pretzel loop, many enthusiasts seem to hate it while the gp loves it. They praise Tatsu, and dis Superman.) I really like it though. I put my hands out forward, and enjoy the whole ride, and not just the little part that those people do. * Some people believe V2 is just boring the more times you ride the ride. I again, don't agree. It goes around 65 or so miles, and it's so thrilling. * Raging Bull is what the people like at this park. I really don't care for this ride. It's not like Superman: Ride of Steel (SFA), or Goliath (SFOG). If you like Goliath at (SFMM), you will like this ride. There are too many missed opportunites of airtime on this ride. The track is always turning, and not enough just straight track. * I don't care for American Eagle. It's a dual wooden roller coaster created by Intamin. However, if you are a helix person, go on this ride. It has a big gigantic helix, and than it has another smaller one. * People love Viper which is one of the smoothest cyclones around (I think.) I don't. I think it's boring. When I was a little kid, I used to get a lot more airtime, but not anymore like I used to. Maybe, it has to do with the seatbelts, but maybe it doesn't. * Whizzer is geared for kids, but it's quite fun for me. However, it's a big sized coasters. It's not a dinky coaster at all. I think it's quite awesome! It's a steel helix type of coaster. On wooden coasters, I think the helixes should be short, and to the point. On steelies, I think they could be a little bigger, and all over the place. * Remember that Deja Vu is gone, and they are adding a Batman standard non-spinning mouse coaster which I think should be awesome, but I like the standard version of mice, and many enthusiasts don't care for them like I do. * Painful coaster named Iron Wolf. Any roller coaster that you have the ride the right way is just stupid to me. * The spinning, and sometimes painful Ragin Cajun * Of course, they have Spacely's which is just a really small Vekoma kids coaster. Onto the flats: I really like these at SFGAm (The other ones I said above. I'm not repeating myself. Thus, the bumper cars isn't in this list, or the train, and so on.): Huss Troika Huss Condor Huss Swing Around Zamperla Teacups Zamperla Balloon Race Zierer Wave Swinger Shrawtkopf Calypso III Intamin (Ride Trade) Observation Tower / Gyro Tower They also have: Huss Frisbee (It's not that fast compared to a Scat, or Gravitron.) Huss Top Spin (There is no water on this one, and the cycle only give you like 4 flips.) Shrawtkopf Monster (This is an Octopus type of ride.) 2 Flume Rides (One goes down a straight drop, and the one has a dip in the drop.) SFStL also has a flume ride. I dont' care for any of these at all. Zamperla Rock N Tug Space Shuttle America (Intamin movie simulator), Splash Water Falls (Shoot-the-Chutes), and Deja Vu won't be there, or won't be open during the 2008 season so don't get your hopes up. For SFGAm water park, they have (This is included with admission.) a lazy river, a wave pool, 2 family raft rides (both different), mat racer rides, 4 tube slides (that are similar), 2 other tube slides (that are similar, but different than the other four), 2 bowl slides (similar to each other), 2 body slides, a Tornado, an interactive kids play area that has a nice skull bucket, and in that play area, they have like 5 kids slides that are similar to each other. They are body slides. I haven't been to SFStL included with admission waterpark, but I believe it is smaller. I guess if you really like woodies, go to SFStL. If you are a steelie, and flat fan, come to SFGAm. SFStL has 3 wooden coasters, and SFGAm has 2 even though people pretend to think that American Eagle is 2 coasters. Look at Holiday World. They have wooden coasters, and some enthusiasts absolutely love that park because they have them. What else does that park have that is so great? Heck, I like an Octopus, and a included water park, but what else is there? Is it the Sally Dark ride? Is it the free drinks? Give me a break if it's the free soda. Just go to Mcdonald's. It has to be the woodies. So, if you like Holiday World, your better bet would be to go to SFStL because they have more of them. If you like steelies and flats, come to SFGAm. Heck, if you really like steelies, waterparks, and flats, come to SFGAm over SFStL. SFStL is a fun little park, but it doesn't have many of the biggest and baddest steel roller coasters like SFGAm does. I say that as long as you avoid Kentucky Kingdom, you have made a good choice. It's not as bad as I make it out to be.
-
I actually think I would like Typhoon Lagoon better because they have a water coaster, and they have a wavepool that should have more action than Blizzard Beach. Heck, I can spend 30 minutes in the wavepool alone at a time, or even longer because to me it's just fun. For the lazy river, I do think it is slow, but that's not the only thing I find wrong with it. It doesn't have a lot of gadgets. It's just one river with a couple of gadgets here and there. There aren't many sprinklers, waterfalls, or traps you want to get out of (Some lazy rivers have two areas. One is the really slow area, and the other goes faster. There is nothing to really do in the slow area, and it's hard to get out of.)

^Wouldn't it be great if the movie theater had a season pass all year? According to my $125 figure, it would be around $20.00 give or take. Is that a deal of the movie theater or not? The show costs $7.50, or $9.00 something at night. It's the same thing. People shouldn't be getting a season pass if they are only visiting the park twice a year. That's why you get an admission ticket instead. A season pass is for the whole season. Heck, people on vacation went to Magic Mountain, and bought a season pass. They only went maybe one day. It was cheaper of getting a season pass, and getting a person to come in free for a day than to pay regular admission for 2 people. People are taking advantage of the cheapness of the Six Flags parks. People bring up sports, and that's because they are seasonal things with high prices. It's costs a lot of money to go to a sporting event, and they have all year tickets. How much is it to go to a football game all year? It's a whole lot of money, and nowhere near $125. Amusement parks spends millions, and millions of dollars on stuff no matter what amusement park they are, the bigger ones charge more than the smaller ones. Six Flags is spending $100 million across the board every year at the parks they own. That's an Expedition Everest at Animal Kingdom! People complain about rides not open, and bad customer service. Why does that happen? They don't have money to do those things better because they are trying to become the "value" amusement park. Yes, this is Cedar Fair now: I think Dorney Park should be is close to where it is with general admission. I actually think it should be $39.99 though. I like the only $3.00 discount. For season passes, I think it should be a $110.00 for regular, and still $150.00 for platinum. I don't believe Cedar Point is doing the right thing however. That park has tons of roller coasters (They have the most.), tons of flats (They have a lot of them compared to Magic Mountain, and maybe even more than SFGAm.), and it's a big park. Admission is TOO low for that park. It's $43.00 on their website. It should be what Six Flags is charging at SFGAm today. I believe that it's a $54.99 park while SFGAm is a $47.99 park. I like SFGAm better, but they have put a lot more money into Cedar Point over the years than SFGAm. Thus, I think season pass prices for Cedar Point should be much higher than $109. For a season pass, you have to think of it that you can go anytime you want to that amusement park when it's open for that passes price. Disney is over $400. How much money does it cost to go bowling every week if you do bowl? It's $17 a week. Times that times 20 weeks, and that's $340. You also have to buy a bowling ball, or use those plastic balls they have in the center. Fun costs a price. Those bowling pins are costing a million dollars a pin though. In fact, I heard they are around $20 a pin. The lanes cost a lot of money (I have no idea how much) when they first put in, but I doubt it was 7.5 million dollars to put in 32 lanes. That's what SFGAm is putting in this year plus other improvements most likely. How much a Nintendo Wii? Is that $300 just for nothing but the system? Than you have to buy games for $45 a piece, and that's $345 for what? You have a system, and one game. I obviously don't have the Nintendo Wii, or many newer video game systems because I don't know the prices for these systems like I used to. Fun things costs money because they are fun things to do!! -

I checked the tickets for Six Flags Over Texas, and they are really cheap if you buy them online. They are $46.99, but they discount them to $29.99. I think they should be $49.99, but the discount should only be $5.00 -$7.00 off. Stop giving away admissions. This is SFOT for goodness sakes. It's a larger park they have. The season passes are also only $69.99. This park is open a long time during the year, and it's that cheap??? Are you kidding me? I am not near the park, and I can get an outermarket season pass for only $47.00!!! That is problem number one. You go Magic Mountain is $60.00, and you can't deal with it. Go to the website, and see how much of a discount they are giving you ($39.99). All these parks are doing the same thing which is so stupid! I say get rid of the coupon books altogether. Forget this friend, and you get a friend to come in free. Give season pass holders 10% off games, food, and souvenirs instead. This way they are buying something, and getting a little discount for buying something. The season pass have to be raised by a lot. Six Flags Great America's season pass should be around $125. Admission (without discount) is $54.99, and season passes are around $90.00. That's only twice as much as the first day. Stop the outmarket season pass deal, and don't give people 25% off a day like they did this year. People are scamming the other parks that are near them. They go to some other Six Flags park that has a season pass cheaper, and than they use it at their homepark. People go to SFKK, and buy the season pass, and than use it all the time at SFGAm. So, even smaller parks should have the season pass higher (No outermarket pass), and admission should still be higher. I think admission is perfect at $40.00 for SFKK, but again they should just offer a cheap discount for admission. Based on rides, I think that Six Flags should stop ripping out roller coasters for a little while, and stop adding new ones for the ones they are ripping out. Why? I think they should work on the flat rides. Some flats are 30 years old, and the popularity has ran out on them. Flats are much cheaper to replace, and could get the teens on those rides too. Don't go for the gigantic, humongous rides though as those are just too expensive. Parks just don't need new roller coasters every 2 years. It's something we have taken for granted. SFGAm gets a mouse coaster this year, and is everyone satisfied? No, they want a rumored Dive Machine to come in the park next year. What the heck? Why does the park need that? The reason is because they haven't thought, let's work on the flats that are old, and boring, and no one wants to ride anymore. Think about your Six Flags, and determine which flats have over a 10 minute line? There are four I can think of I can and one is the "new" drop tower at SFStL (Superman: Tower of Power). This is because it's new. Those rides get old fast though. SFGAm got there's in 1997, and it's been less than a 10 minute wait for a few years even when not all sides are working. Remember though, that ride is really expensive. We are talking near a $7.5 million mouse coaster cost, or an $8.5 Vertical Velocity. The other ride I can think of is the Huss Frisbee. This is also a newer ride, and I say mabe it gets a 10-15 minute line at best. The third one I can think of are the bumper cars, and that's because they are lower capacity, and they don't always have all the cars open because they are broke. Lastly, it's the dark ride at SFStL (Scooby-Doo). That ride was pretty crowded!! Get more of those, SF! Than, you have the water rides, but are those flats? I wouldn't consider them as flats. These rides are only crowded though when it's hot, or when it's not raining. In the early season, and the late season they aren't open near me. That's almost 2-3 months of the year which is a lot when your park is only open for 6 months. I believe parking should stay at $10. They shouldn't hand out those gigantic paper maps anymore because they are too big to carry around anyway. The park hours should be put on the back of the small park maps they give. Did you notice that you don't know when the park is open if you look at your small park map? Sure, to advertise at a store (These are the 4 pages brochure of what's new for this season.) before the season opens, they put the hours, but not when you are actually at the park, and you take that map home. It's annoying. For security, have real police walking around the park. That will distract people from doing stuff wrong. I'm saying 10 real police, but how about 2 or 3? They should always be running 2 train operations. Let the people stay on the ride if they want to when it's not so crowded. Parks that are going to open longer than 6 months like SFOT, SFMM, SFOG, SFFT (now), and SFDK should buy more trains for their coasters. Thus, roller coasters don't have to run one train because they are all in refurbishment. Heck, V2 at SFDK should have 2 trains now because of what you are doing. Otherwise, don't have the park open for Christmas season. Yes, they can't run 2 trains on V2, but so what? If people want to go to that park during that time of year, they should be able to get on that ride. Buy more trains, and don't buy too many roller coasters. Buy roller coasters every 5-7 years instead of yearly, and buy the flats instead. -
You are against "pointless topics". What in the heck is a "pointless topic"? The second person who posted in this topic thought it was, but I don't at all below. http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=42443&start=0 He knows owning a theme park is a "fantasy", and thus it's "pointless". Where in the heck are you supposed to give your thoughts about dreaming to own a theme park than? How about I post on a football forum than because it would stupid to put it on a coaster / theme park related site. You can say that any of these topics are "pointless". I'm not in that age range, but it bugs me when people say "pointless" topics.

This park is a highly attended water park. I have been to this park, and I didn't care for it. Why do people like this park so much? Is it just for the reason it's a Disney affiliated park, or is it something more? I admit that I didn't go on the big dropping slide. I don't usually care for body slides. The family raft ride was very unexciting to me. The lazy river was really really slow and lazy, and there all this stuff in there from the trees. This is probably just during that season. The wave pool in my opinion had really bad waves. They weren't raising up enough. You can't just go on the chairlift ride to just go on it. You only can go up the mountain to go on it, but they let you come down on it. There is a tube slide (tan ride) that you go up up this really steep mountain to ride, and it was just slow going down it. It was bad to me. Another thing they have is these kids tube slides. I think these might have been more fun the tube slide and family raft slide I was talking about. That's pretty bad. Lastly, the great ride I think the park had was the Double Downs (or Dipper) ride. There are two tube slides, and they race down to see who wins. It takes forever to start the ride though, and their only two people sent down at a time. It's first enclosed, and than it's an open tube, and there dips in the slide. They put up this blockage thing before the you are able to go down, and than you are able to go down when they release it. This ride is going to get a long time to get on though as it's very low capacity. Yes, I do think the theme is quite cool, but this park just didn't do it for me at all. Do you like this park if you have been to it, and most importantly why or why not? I haven't tried Typhoon Lagoon. Is it any better in your opinion, or do you think Blizzard Beach is the better one? These two waterparks could be getting high attendence because they are Disney parks, and they are really cheap to get into. When you have a hopper, you can add a 5 day thing for the waterparks, and Disney Quest for what I thought was maybe $20 extra. It was a cheap deal! Is it so cheap, that people can't refuse to go to it? It does get hot (People are in the sweating heat.), and it does have some waterslides. People could go to the waterpark, and than go to a Disney amusement park too (Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios) so it inflates admission (With the park hopper, people can increase 2 or 3 places attendance instead of just 1.).

SFGAm *Dump The Orbit *Dump Sky Trek Tower- The line isn't what it used to be. You are usually on within 5 minutes. It's just an aging ride. Rides can't live forever even if they are tall. Put that ferris wheel I talk about instead below. *I would say to dump Yankee's Clipper, but they can't do that now because they already dumped Splash Water Falls. *Move King Chaos to another park. *Dump the Whirligig (The park has the balloons.) *Dump Jester's Wild Ride *If you aren't going to move the Hometown Fun Machine, dump it. If you are going to move it, than paint it a better color scheme (bright green, and electric blue). *Dump Iron Wolf *I thinking that they are already dumping the antique car ride anyway even though I think that is totally different than the Wiggle's World car ride. Younger kids are going to ride Wiggle's with adults, while medium kids would ride the antique car ride. *Add 2 Zippers, a Moser Spring Ride instead of the Zamperla boring ride that goes up and down now, 2 Hi-Lite Scats Also, add a KMG Fireball, a Chance Century Wheel (Medium Ferris Wheel)- Why get a large ferris wheel when they give really short rides, and don't fill up all the cars anyway??? *Add a Tilt-A-Whirl, a Power Surge, a Flying Bobs (again), and a Tivoli Orbiter. *Add a dark slow moving ride to the line-up. Base it on some movie like Disney does. I hope that Six Flags doesn't do it on the Looney Tunes like they did at SFOT because I think that was pretty bad. How about Wizard of Oz, or something like that? I believe that's a free-license movie to do. *Later on in the future, add another dark ride that's a laser shooting one like Scooby-Doo. *Add a water coaster to the water park, and make the waterpark bigger some how. It's too small to me. *Season Pass Prices should skyrocket. *Admission prices should stay the same, but they should offer less discounts on coupons. Instead of saying people get in $20.00 off admission, you tell people that they can get $7.00 off admission on cans or soda, or on the internet. *Parking should go to $10.00. *The new coaster shouldn't be for awhile. We are getting a roller coaster this year. We got one in 2004, and 2003. We even got 2 in 2001, even though they are removing one of those. Most of these (except the dark rides) are cheap additions, and definitely would cost less than the 7.5 million roller coaster that you are getting in one year. This is if you aren't buying full price for all these rides. You can be dumb, and buy these rides all new, but what does it matter if they are used or not. Yes, they might need some fixing used, but you can always do that. It's not that hard to do. -

This waterpark does look really good, but it reminds me of Six Flags Great America's Hurricane Harbor almost dead on. The only differences I see are they have two wavepools, and they have that river that you don't need tubes, and it goes fast through. My experience at HH says that this waterpark is really fun! I hope you enjoy it. I won't spend my money on it though because I have my waterpark. Also, I won't go to Orlando in the summertime because it would be way too crowded. -
This is hard to do: 1) Deja Vu 2) Batman the Ride 3) X 4) Scream! 5) Riddler's Revenge 6) Ninja 7) Colossus 8) Gold Rusher 9) Bumper Cars 10) Baveryn Kurve (Gone) 11) Himilaya I haven't been on Psyclone (Gone), Flashback (Gone), Revolution, or Tatsu. Superman was boring to me, and so was Goliath, and Viper. The raft ride wasn't that good. I think the best ones are 1) Kentucky Kingdom, 2) Islands of Adventure (Popeye's), Cedar Points, SFStL, and I think SFOG's was pretty good. I don't like Animal Kingdom's, SFMM's, SFOT's, and SFGAm's isn't really that good like I remember it before.

TOP 5 B&M INVERTED COASTERS
VivaLaVibora replied to CoasterExpert13's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
These are the ones I have been on only: 1) Batman the Ride (SFOG, SFGAm, SFMM) 2) Raptor 3) Montu 4) Dueling Dragons -Ice A little bigger gap for these (I don't think they are like the top ones) 30) Batman the Ride (SFStL) 31) Talon A Really big gap in which I think this one stunk: 70) Dueling Dragons - Fire Right now, I'm not sure how many coasters I have ridden, and I don't feel like checking so let's say 70 is a lot closer to the end than the beginning. -
2007 Attendance Figures
VivaLaVibora replied to mcjaco's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I'm not surprised at all. The reason is because the prices have increased with the gate admission. However, in all reality it's not really that much money in regards to admission because of the heavy discount they are doing. This is what happened to Great America when Red Zone took over. Parking was maybe $10.00, and they made it $15.00. Admission was around $44.99 or something like that, and they made it $54.99. So, you wonder why attendance decreased? The season passes haven't gone up that much money at all though. The parking pass also increased by a lot of money. They thing was that they increased admission, and parking when the new ride was only the Tornado. It wasn't the year when you are getting a waterpark with admission. -
Can you tell us some questions people asked, and what the management answered? There had be some good questions people asked that would be nice to know the answers to. Are the other X trains going to be completely dumped, or are they going to be used for back up during a small part of the season? Is it possible to use those again, or not? Let's say they use 3 new ones during most of the summer, and packed times. That means the off-season still won't have many of them running because they only have 3, and they need to refurb the coasters every year. Maybe, the ride can't even run 3, but I would guess it could. They should have bought another one if they aren't going to ever use the old ones again just because SFMM is an open all year round park. It's not even that they can all fit on the track, but rather refurbishing.

Is anybodys home park their favorite?
VivaLaVibora replied to pkdcoaster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
My homepark is SFGAm, and I would say it is my favorite. It's not only the rides, but it's the waterpark also. Now, the two are combined (water park and amusement park). I guess if the two were separated, than I can't count SFGAm as my favorite park. Thus, I would choose Dorney Park, Magic Mountain, Six Flags Over Texas, and than Six Flags Over Georgia. If Dorney Park loses Laser, than that would be below the other three because those are tied with the rides they have. However, Dorney has a water park that I havn't been to so, that could be my favorite park if I went to that park two days. I really like Dorney Park (that's why I say it's 2nd), but it has some of the same rides that are near me. Laser is sorta of similar, Voo-Doo is the same thing, a Tilt-A-Whirl (I can find), Revolution 32 (This ride is very similar to the KMG Fireball which I love even though that ride reminds more of a KMG Freak Out.), and a balloon race ride (even though that one is better). Heck, my park is even getting a mouse coaster. It's my second favorite park, but yet why should I go to it on vacation if my homepark has a lot of the same things that it has. I would definitely have a blast at that park if I visit it again, but why waste the money when I have the stuff at home near me? Six Flags Magic Mountain, and especially Six Flags Over Texas (for me) are worth the trip more even though they have less rides I really really like. It's only like 1 less compared to Dorney, but I haven't been on Tatsu, or Revolution though. SFGAm is my favorite, and is my homepark until they dump the waterpark as being a separate admission. Dorney Park is my second favorite based on the rides it has (not comparing it to other parks) For SFOT and SFMM, I rather travel to them than Dorney Park though because Dorney Park has many of the same types of rides like SFGAm, or carnivals around me, and the other two don't. For SFOG, they have some of the same stuff that SFGAm has. I think traveling to SFMM, and SFOT are more worth it than traveling to SFOG, and Dorney Park. Dorney and SFOG have some extras compared to my park, but I will be going a lot less often to those parks than SFOT, and SFMM. For SFStL, I can just go to SFOT and get Mr. Freeze, and the Mine Train over there. Now, I can get Tony Hawk at SFOT too even though I'm not excited at all for that ride. However, for years I don't want to take a long trip, I can just go to SFStL. Cedar Point is very high on the parks I like too though. However, it costs more money for Cedar Point because I don't have a season pass for Cedar Fair. SFStL has less crowds when I'm there, and the hotels seem to be cheaper than Cedar Point. I like Cedar Point better, but there are extra costs (including line times) at that park than SFStL. -
2007 Attendance Figures

I believe that DCA is a flop compared to all the other Disney North America parks. The Magic Kingdom is getting 17 million compared to DCA's small 5 million. That's a huge difference. Any other park would love to get what Disney is getting, but Disney wants more attendance for that park. They think they can do better. -
Pointless new attractions
VivaLaVibora replied to DBru's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
That's funny you said that. All themeparks have spinny rides. Those aren't your class of spinning rides. In other words, you don't like them. Cedar Point has a Scrambler, Flying Bobs, Himilaya, Octopus, Troika (which you complaining about), Max Air, Chaos, Observation Tower (technically spins), swings, Calypso, Tilt-A-Whirl, Merry-Go-Round, another horse go around in circles ride, and an Enterprise. The way those rides are run in that condition, you can't even compare tham to carnival or fair rides. To me, Crazy Legs, and Rodeo are relaxing rides. Scrambler is the most intense out of the three, and that's a Scrambler. That's not a Super Sizzler, or a Sizzler which you would find at a carnival. That breakdance is really tamed down, and boring. It's so much different than the Ohio State Fair Twister breakdance. ________________________________ As for the ride I think, I think Skyhawk was a stupid idea after you got Max Air. People thought it does the same thing as Max Air, and people were less likely to check it out. I think the Zamperla Rock N Tug that SF put in at multiple parks is a complete waste of money. I go by them, and there is hardly anyone in line for them, or riding them. I wonder if people think Hydra is a waste of money. How many people are going on that ride? Did it really help Dorney Park, or not? I really like that ride, but I wonder how many people do. Mission Space was a waste of cash completely. Even without the accidents, I think the lines will be just like they are anyway because of the intense factor of the ride. To me, it's intense but it's boring at the same time. Alien Encounter was also a stupid ride in my opinion. They changed it to Stitch, but why would you put in a ride that is meant to scare kids who come to Disney World. That's just stupid. -
Weirdest Things The 'GP' Have Said
VivaLaVibora replied to maliboomer's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
It's not illegal, but your uncle was sort of right. Wet brakes are never that good. The whole point was that he said illegal, so it doesn't matter. Someone said, "V2 has an inversion?" I know this was awhile ago, but I'm just looking at this topic now. One out of two of them does.
