Weird roller coasters.
VivaLaVibora replied to Rct3man777's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Even if you heard of them, I say these: X Joker's Jinx Halfpipe at Elitch Gardens -
The SROS at SFA is so darn awesome. I haven't been on the SFNE one. The problem you might have at SFA is just stuff not being open. One ride could be opened one day like the Avalance (Flying Bobs ride), and than the next day, it's closed in the end part of June. Or you could have the Invertigo (Two-Face) not be open either. You can have Skull Mountain being up and down the whole day. Joker's Jinx might open later. Batwing might run with only one train. Basically, the parks rides aren't a guaranteed thing. If you look on the website, and you want to ride 10 rides at the park, good luck with getting on all of them. Six Flags America is an awesome park if the rides were open, but it is a quite SMALL Six Flags park. I really like Joker's Jinx, Batwing, SROS, Wild One, and the Avalanche the hours it was open. Again, the Invertigo might be a problem getting on.

What's your favorite Flat ride?
VivaLaVibora replied to FlyingScooter's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
They kind of have to because otherwise, you just get a Scrambler. Even a carousel goes up and down. A minature train ride on the other hand doesn't go up a hill, but it could. Even a Tilt-A-Whirl is a on a tilt. Roller coasters also have an elevation change. -
Parks featured on TV shows
VivaLaVibora replied to cathyJ's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
These are some movies I know about with carnivals, or amusement parks. • National Lampoon's Vacation (Wallyworld-Six Flags Magic Mountain) • Mighty Joe Young (Carnival-Yo-Yo, Ferris Wheel, Maybe Gravitron, Zipper?) • The Luck of the Irish (Disney Movie, Carnival in movie)- I forgot what rides except for a Ferris Wheel. • Grease (1)- There is a Eyerly Spider/Octopus, Round Up, Scrambler, and a Ferris Wheel, • Thrill (Roller Coaster Movie- This guy tries to b the park. There are other rides like Tilt-A-Whirl, Kamikaze, Scrambler, Log Ride, Motion Simulator, and so on.) • Roller Coaster movie (This is that stupid movie where those kids go to an amusement park, and take over. However, it has some really great rides in it like the Zipper, Orbiter, Wave Swinger, Polyp ride, and etc. ) • Richie Rich- This movie has Iron Wolf. • Beverly Hills Cop (3)- They show Paramount’s Great America in California (Sky Whirl and Demon are noted.) • The Little Rascals- There is a Tilt-A-Whirl and a Ferris Wheel in this movie. • BIG- There was a carnival in this movie. I forgot about what rides were in it though. Charlotte’s Web (New Version)- Zipper, Alpine Bobs type Joe Dirt- There is a Zipper, and a Tilt-A-Whirl plus more. -
Yeah, someone agrees with me about Top Scans being not that good. However, if you want to see the Top Scan, there is usually one at the Florida State Fair, and the Ohio State Fair. It's probably even the same one. It's called Space Roller at those fairs. There are a lot of rides that I have never been on, and they would be good for me to ride. It's so far away though. If I were to go to this fair, there are still some rides me to fall back on like the Spin Out, Zipper, and XTreme (KMG Afterburner) in which it wouldn't be horrible if the Tango, Magnum, Himilaya, Fighter, and the Remix stink. Who knows about the Evolution either?

VivaLaVibora replied to Kennyweird's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Hurricanes aren't that painful. You haven't ridden the Downdraft which is something else. If you really don't like carnivals, don't post about them, and don't go on the rides. Instead, you just ridicule them, and than ride the rides. -
Son of Beast or Beast
VivaLaVibora replied to dragsterfan420's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Beast - I think this ride was horrible. My stomach just hurt so bad on this ride. Son of Beast - It didn't give zippo airtime, but it didn't hurt. It was very painless compared to the Beast. I don't like neither of them. Racer is good, not great because it's too hard with that bad lapbar to get a lot of airtime. Racer needs new trains like the other PTC's (Like Blue Streak or Screamin' Eagle). -
Six Flags Fiesta Texas TR.
VivaLaVibora replied to Footballteen58's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I've never been to that park, but hear me out. Poltergeist has to awesome because it's clone version called Joker's Jinx is a really great ride. Too bad, you couldn't go to the even better Six Flags park in Texas, Six Flags Over Texas. Also, I really like Batman the Ride which is Goliath at that park. I also really like boomerangs, but to most people they are too rough, but not for me. -
S&S Sansei Discussion Thread

To me, it looks likes it's going to feel like an Arrow Suspended coaster. Space Mountain is a lower capacity ride at Magic Kingdom, and that's why they have two sides, but how much capacity does one side get? They have tons of trains for one side, and they have a seperate exit platform. They only have 6 people per trains which doesn't seem like a lot, but I would say that only one side does a lot better than a mouse coaster. Add some blocks on this thing, and have more trains, and you will get a good capacity coaster. If you send one train out at a time, this ride will take forever to get on. -

This is a really good trip report. I don't like what they did to Mind Bender either. I was fine with the Driving Force stuff, but not this. And why do people really put their hands up? To me, it's kind of stupid. It's funny that people have their hands up, and than when they get to a head chopper, they put their hands down. -
For knives, they are very easy for someone to just do something in 5 seconds, and this person could have been dead. For a big fight people will notice, and security would have been called right away, but they got away this time. It's very different from using a weapon, and using your fist. A knive is much sharper, and more deadly. The problem with our society that sets all this stuff up is first off swearing everywhere and anywhere. Never did this society have so much swearing. It's just everywhere. To me, it sends a version of hate. When people say these words, it's always because they hate someone, or treating people lower than they should be treated. You also have a bunch of demoralizing words that also sets up the hate between people. It just never was this bad. There was a time when c was a word you would never on tv, but all of sudden, there are only so many words you don't hear. Our society made hate words, and people are using them like anything more than ever. You say a hate word, and someone else says a hate word, and it just escalates. I feel rappers like M&M also bring hate, and than you have songs like the Dixie Chicks with hurting someone which is just not right. To some people they are just a song, but other people try to live by them, and they are hurting society.

Wow, that sucks that the park wasn't operating well when you went. Well by reading your TR it sounds like you didn't really have to wait in any serious lines despite the poor operations, which is good. p.s. Wile E. Coyote is a one train coaster. The no bag policy/loose articles was very 'loose'. I could put my shoes/camera/phone in any of the places to the side of the station! I liked that a lot. Though on Goliath, they didn't let you put bags there. -JZ Now, that truly shows you how bad the management is there. They aren't even telling people to keep their stuff except shoes in the lockers, and that's a big deal this year to not let people on rides with that stuff, or to put it on the side. -
It just sounds like they don't even want to open it again like they are doing at Great America for Space Shuttle America. This ride will not open today is what they put by it. Maybe, they are thinking about a mouse coaster next year. That ride was working fine at Kings Island. I really wish these parks would hire more real cops, and not just park police. For those people that stold something, they should be arrested. They did the crime. If you let them off easy, they will think they can do it again.

Two days Ago for Cedar Point: Raptor: It had a 20 minute wait. Max Air: It was 15 minutes. Disaster Transport: It was 15 minutes. Top Thrill Dragster: It was 20 minutes, but this was an hour before closing. Gemini: 10 minutes. They were only running 1 train for each side. Mantis: 10-15 minutes. I saw a snake in the water. It was cool. Millenium Force: 30 minutes. Corkscrew: Walk-on. This was in the last 30 minutes of park opening. Tilt-A-Whirl: 1 wait cycle. Wicked Twister: I didn't go on it, but the sign said 15 minutes. Chaos broke down, and I thought I might go on Wicked Twister, but it looked too long for that ride. Blue Streak: Walk-on Wildcat: Closed Maverick: I only think it's a good ride, so I don't think it's worth more than any substantial amount of time. ________________________ Four days ago for Kings Island (Sunday, and Monday) Racer, Adventure Express, and Flight Deck: Walk-ons Delirium: 20 minutes, but it broke down which took forever. Drop Tower: 10-15 minutes Beast: Later at night it was 5 minutes. Son of Beast: It was 5-10 minutes. Backlot Stunt Coaster: On Monday, it was 10 minutes. Firehawk: It was an hour, but it broke down for a very long time, and than went to one train operation with one side working compared to two. Flight of Fear: I would say it was 20-30 minutes. Invertigo: 15-20 minutes Avatar: 15 minutes Rugrat's Runaway Reptar: 10-15 minutes Fairly Odd Coaster: Walk-on Monster: 5-10 minutes Scooby-Doo: 5 minutes, but earlier in the day on Monday, it probably was 10 minutes.

I don't believe that's right at all what Six Flags Great Adventure did to the ERT people. If they promise something, and the rides aren't broke, they should give it to you no matter how good, or bad the crowds are. You cancel the event altogether before it happens if you don't want to do it than, but don't do it on the day of the event. That's putting the profits before the guest. I imagine that a lot of those people won't come back next year because that's the main reason they went to the event. So, how many people did Great Adventure lose for next year? Thanks for sharing the pictures though. On a side note, I find it very funny that they used the same design for shirts at Great America, and at Great Adventure but with different rides. For the El Toro shirt, that design is also used on the Raging Bull shirt, and for the Great American Scream Machine design is used for the Demon. Of course, they changed the names on the shirt to say Raging Bull instead of El Toro. Funny, Six Flags. For Fahrenheit, why did Hersheypark get such a low capacity ride? Maverick is also the same length, but at least they have 5 trains. Sure, Superman Ride of Steel is a hyper coaster, but it has 36 people per train compared to only 12 people. What the heck is Intamin thinking? This ride isn't even a LIM coaster.
