yeah I can't believe management let the topiary slide. How can you NOT think it looks at least a little dirty. Nice to see the newlyweds out and about. Too bad I didn't get the Thunder Run credit when it was decent in 2005, something about the stupid belt wouldn't fit me. Course I was about 30lbs heavier, but the belt was so weird having the buckle all the way at the bottom, not like most PTCs. Hope you guys make it to C3 this year.

Wow! That's one of the most amazing things I've seen on the net in a long time. I've never seen an old side-friction coaster (except of course Leap the Dips) in action back in the day. The water ride looked "safe"...the guy in the back wasn't even seated yet and they released them!!! Thanks!

This is quite a common thing actually. A bunch of couples got married on Borga few years back. I think a friend of Ted's got married on Boulder Dash last year. As much as I love coasters, I'd really rather not get married on any coaster...it's just too cheesy to me.

They can, but probably won't since they are currently looking to sell all their parks!

Sounds like they didn't plan this thing out too well. You can't expect to make a profit your first year, even your first couple years. This is turning into a weird week already.

I know! This was no lie like my 12th visit to the park and I had never seen it!!! Of course it might be due to the fact it's in the kiddie section of the park and since I have no kids, I never go there! Nothing unusual was going on. Ignore what Alan is doing to the camera. Ok, you do that. But Kings Island...I mean Carowinds flyers are better. period.

The crowds were very light and the humidity and heat weren't too bad for July in the South! I have a Maxx Pass so my admission was free (and if you have a Carowinds Maxx Pass you just go straight up to the ticket takers and they scan your pass!) They didn't do that at CP or GL. Anyway...this was my first trip back to the park since 2005, oh and something about a sale of the park? Anyone know about that? Ah well...off we go! The next day....at the North Carolina rest stop...Uh, I think you need an updated Carowinds pic peeps! That's all folks. Hope you enjoyed it. Have a fun and safe summer! The 3 SLCs I've been on, all did not have a floor beneath them like B&M does. Just open space below you, and it's scary! This also reminds me of a question I had on Griffon. What are these box things sitting on the lift? Are they a temporary floor they can put together to evac it?

Build a B&M Hyper at Disneyland, Walt Disney World and all the other Disneys overseas. They need thrill rides at the parks, not just family rides. I'm not saying become a Six Flags, but they need a few coasters (excluding Everest of course) that are faster than 36mph!

I've seen several travel models of rides on the interstate before and one of my friends saw the track for Runaway Reptar arrive at Carowinds (I know, you're impressed).

Firehawk's trains looks so weird and short (the nose) compared to Borg and Batwing IMO.

Ok, so I'm a dork.....I should have known GCII trains, MF trains correct?...duh...lol....Are the restraints that different from the PTC ones? I haven't been on o MF train yet but the PTC ones I have plenty of room..... In my experience, yes the Millennium Flyer trains are much tighter than PTCs. I don't know why that is, but when I was at my heaviest (around 300) I could barely fit on a flyer and could easily fit on a PTC. But now I don't have to worry about it anymore thank the Lord. Very true IMO. The Intamin's seem to be very tight in the thigh area more than the stomach itself. If you lose weight then you'll lose in your gut mostly, but I found it really harder because I have bigger legs than an average guy. But I still fit. I'm about a 38 inch waist to give you an idea, with bigger than normal legs. American rides overall seem to be more strict than say Europe which seems to be a bit more relaxed.

Now I'm just showing off. I was able to ride Griffon wearing a fanny pack and still get 2-3 clicks! Griffon was a lot of fun, and my 150th too!

To throw more fuel on the fire... GCII has this problem with their retraints as well. You can fit fine on one row, but ride farther up or back and you might be too big to fit the restraint. From my undetstanding it's because every train is handbuilt/custom built. I didn't have that problem in April since I've lost the weight, but I know bigger people do (and I did in 2005). But I think I was always able to get at least one click.

I can hear my arteries clogging right now just looking at that pic. But that's the great thing about vacations and parks. You burn off so many calories walking around parks, that it's not too awful to have something like that on vacation. Although I just stuck with the cheese fries. I'm not too big on pork, and it doesn't agree with me much either. Anyway, thanks for checking out the report. That'll probably be my last for a while as everybody and their brother has already done a Griffon report and I really don't want to waste my time doing another one. lol (just got back from BGE this morning).
