He also wrote the libretto of a several musicals in his time...."Sweet Charity," "They're Playing Our Song," and "Promises Promises," to name a few... A giant in the theatre world. He will be missed. https://www.broadway.com/buzz/193120/neil-simon-tony-pulitzer-winner-of-lost-in-yonkers-the-odd-couple-dies-at-91/

Just realized. My "usual" avatar here, won't be the same, in the 2020's. Tokyo Disney is building all that new part of DisneySea, which should fit all behind this shot of the Bayside Station. This is already a rare shot, with nothing behind the station but parking lot. For now. Buh Bye, parking lot!

^ Stella goes naturally bonkers for tinned salmon, too. And at the rate that it costs per tin up here...... she'll be getting more tuna, lol!

A few decades ago, at Playland here in Vancouver, they did exactly that with our scrambler. Enclosed it, and then ran it with the popular rock music of the time, along with a light show as it ran it's cycle. Great noisy fun. Glad to see it's still being done. Great TR of Funtown USA. And those fries looked very nice, too.

^ I remember the days (up to 1980s) we went to Disneyland, and then found out the Matterhorn was down. A few visits, this happened. Every time. And no real advance media to find out, either. We still had great times at the park, and I did eventually get to ride Matterhorn again.... just 2 years ago. Still awesome (left side esp) after all these decades! Being miserable about a closed ride, all your day there, doesn't help. Doesn't re-open the ride, either. -

http://www.tdrexplorer.com has just posted that the 2022 Expansion to DisneySea has started... "Construction of this expansion at Tokyo DisneySea has begun and we’re in for a long 4 years of construction at Tokyo DisneySea. The expansion is going behind the Park and taking out part of the current parking lot. We’ll update this post with photos every few months or when there is major progress on the construction. It’s an exciting time at Tokyo Disney Resort and a lot of changes are coming in the next few years." And in looking at that photo below, I still BlueSky think they're going to put some kind of connecting pathway/transport between the two parks through the two new lands being built there. And treat it like how it's done at Universal Orlando and the Harry Potter Lands.... you'll need a Parkhopper Pass (3rd and/or 4th day) to use the route/system. I also noted...the locals really love their themed restaurants in the Resort! Three new ones, plus two for the hotel! Plus whatever is being adding to Beauty/Beast Land. Thank you TDR, for this great page on the DisneySea (and the other) projects! (o: Clearing behind Bayside (Monorail) Station. This could be the start of the new hotel. Or not. (o; Thank you TDR for the pic. -

I was curious how they handled the "two beers per guest per day" thing, with the 40 cent beers. Do you have to use your park ticket to get them, and then they'll know, because it's already 'marked'? By the way, I do realize it was Coors Lite (ugh) they were selling, but it's still cheap beer to some. -

We're finally getting some rain today. It started late last night. We definitely need it, after all this time of mucho sunshine, fire smoke haze, and humidity. Hopefully it won't keep going and going, and we'll get back to some sun again. -

When I think of Action Sports, just bicycles and skate boards in competition, does not come to mind. Well, that's what this was all about. With a 12 foot high u-shaped....uh.... running track (?). They went back and forth, and back and forth, and.... you know how this worked. It was alright, but honestly, I could see a lot more of this happening around town at skateboard parks already in use. But the high flying stuff was pretty awesome to watch. And when they announced you could come down to the floor, up to the fences....the mobs of kids running down there, was like free candy had been offered, lol. I went down there myself, eventually, to try and get some closer shots of the action. And after it was all over, in a 1/2 hour's time, I headed home. P.S. If you haven't come across this couple's AWESOME tour (ODDventure) through my home town, including Playland, here... http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=76179 It's a great TR, and I am glad they finally got to ride Coaster, on the slimmest of chances it was running, their final day there. Whew! So that's what goes into a White Spot Burger! (o; Ooooo pretty. The Host. Unicorn #3, on the bus, heading home.
