  2. Looking forward to enjoying the new show in....6 years?
  3. Mmmmmm...EPCOT Food & Wine Festival.
  4. Wonder when ours in Canada, is? (Looking it up...) Seems it's Canada's National Holiday today, too! Burgers and fries look good btw ^. Where did you buy them? EDIT to add: I just convinced David to get us cheeseburgers (A&W, we enjoy their food) and fries AND onion rings for dinner tonight! With extra Dings. Damn, I'm good.
  5. Bert, Bert, Bert...your poor body! I'm glad you got a lot of enjoyment out of your day at Hershey, though. Still, it all seems to have started with that arm 'injury' you had to endure last year, after our first ride on Dragster at CP. Face it, you're falling apart LOL! Too early for your age! Hope the CP visit (3 days!) went well for you.
  6. Looks like the new "performance area" of the castle re-build, has been completed. And this front stage, I am seeing, is almost as tall as the (current) castle itself, lol! On second thought, this could have something to do with HKDL's current Halloween, too. Where's the castle? (o; Photo posted by HK Main Street Gazette.
  7. This is shocking to read. Happily surprising, actually. For Fuji-Q. Or jinxed it, LOL. This would be great for future TPR visits, and especially Robb and Elissa, if the staff and owners have finally gotten it, that TPR has been bringing groups to their park for....how many years, now? Here's to several more years of the same service, upon return visits.
  8. I love little sandwiches!
  9. Well, we had our own PNE Rib Fest on August 30th, and what surprised us, was that our then fave, Misty Mountain, was the least liked of the three we had! Yes, we were surprised, too after giving it top marks for a couple of years. But our then fave #2 Gator BBQ suddenly topped MM and our third ribs, Prairie Smoke. That one actually moved up to the middle and poor poor Misty dropped into third place. Such is life and ribs. #1 Gator BBQ; #2 Prairie Smoke; #3 Misty Mountain. And with #2 we got cornbread!
  10. A Tin.
  11. Is it redundant to say "R.I.P. Haunted Hospital"...? Everything looks great there, back at F-Q, Chuck. Volcano food! That would be different than the usual bowls they used to serve, there. Looking forward (but never back) to more, Chuck!
  12. ^ Well, the alternative is to get "Carrie." Am listening to it now.
  13. U Turn Tegan and Sara
  14. Playland's now Closed for the Season. And they're getting ready for..... http://www.pne.ca EDIT to add: OMG WHOA! The price for the V.I.P. Passes (Fast Passes on Haunts and selected Rides) just jumped $20 over, from last year's Passes! i.e. What was (my cost) $80+ last year, is now over $100! And that was/is for the Thursday FN Pass. Weekend Passes are sure to be higher. Still worth getting, though. I spent 4 very comfortable hours last Oct, doing all the Haunts, and getting drinks and food in between them, as well. Very relaxing way to do it. Highly Recommended! Worth the extra $$$ Boo. To your wallet.
  15. One of my Architectural Bucket List Things was to visit Falling Water. Long time ago. Almost forgotten about it, till all your wonderful photos were posted. How big is the property it sits on? There seems to be so much untouched lush greenery around it. Thanks for all the great outdoor shots. And those of Pittsburgh, too.
  16. Here's one that never occurred to me before.... In Tokyo DisneySea Backstory Land.... Harrison Hightower and Capt. Nemo....are long ago estranged brothers? Polar opposites of each other - one wants to be high in public view, above the earth - the other in solitude, under the seas. Hmmm? Playland just closed today. I'm already bored. Pardon this.
  17. Discovery Trees or Flowers?
  18. Can't beat a 60 years old wooden beauty that still delivers the punch, the scares, and the OMGs of a much bigger coaster... At under 70 feet high! 6 times! Wooden Roller Coaster/Playland(PNE) Still one of The Best Woodies in The World. Truth!
  19. ^ Awesome! This will take my mind off that Half & Half entryway into the park. = Half Main Street (lengthwise), Half Mall (crosswise).....and one after the other. And vomited on, by Pop Culture. Trippy. My last visit to WH was Sept.2015 while the new coaster was being built. The street/mall was nondescript, but it was fine walking by it, and through it. P.S. It will be great to re-ride Robin Hood, after the "touching up," etc. And I got this nifty refillable coffee mug inside the Mall, as well. In The 1/2 Mall part, there's also this. (o;
  20. Just finished listening to this great Off-Broadway Musical, Be More Chill, that's now headed to Broadway next spring. Really great written musical. Should do well on The Broad Way.
  21. Stella Artois > Bud Light/Coors/Kokanee Just my 5 cents. Now, back to your regularly scheduled SFMM discussion....
  22. Coaster at Playland(PNE) earlier today. Closing Day of Playland. And I finally reached my goal of 65 Rides on Coaster before the Season ended, which was today. Matched my current age, for that little Challenge. Last Coaster shot I took. Sunday Sept.16/18 - Closing Day. )o:
  23. YAY! I finally reached my Challenge Goal of 65 rides on Coaster at Playland, today! Originally, and after I turned 65 at the end of March, I thought about marathoning Coaster for 65 times in one day...HAH! Not likely, I found out... For one thing, Coaster was still down for maintenance when the Season started, back in May. And it didn't get up and running until the end of June. So I had to re-think this little Challenge of mine. So, I decided just to try and ride Coaster 65 times before the 2018 Season ended. Which was today. I had 6 rides left, two of which I could get at whichever Fright Night I attended, in October. But that was sort of "Past The Season." So today was the day to get'em all done, and include the Fright Night rides (probably 2), eventually. Not to worry today! As wet as it was, a lot of people showed up, knowing it was Closing Day, so no problem in re-filling the train each round. Hardly a wait to get 12 minimum in the coaster seats (their rules), compared to the weekend before. Anyway, the Challenge was SUCCESSFUL, and I get to add a couple more in October. YAY! The red train was running, today. My fave colour of the three trains, too! (o:
  24. "This is The End, my Friend..." Although there was a lot of rain all morning, by the time I got to the park, most of it had stopped. And when I FINALLY reached my GOAL of 65 rides on Coaster (matching my current age?), the rain had stopped...totally. It really didn't pick up again, till I was back home a little while ago. Now, it's just icky and grey and drippy and windy and....wet. Eh, I made my Coaster Count so that was good. A good number of the flats were down, much more than were listed (3?) on the front board outside the gate. I was disappointed that West Coast Wheel was one of them. I wanted some overhead shots. But no matter, the ride ops kept it together and ran things, even when there was only one or a few people on the flat. Good for them! Coaster and AtmosFEAR are the only two rides at Playland, that I know of, which require a minimum of 12 riders to run the ride. No problem with Coaster today! I was happily surprised how fast the red train kept filling up, and not only myself doing repeat rides. It was a great way to get my final numbers and close The Park. Hell's Gate is TOAST, as far as I can see. Hardly opened at - all during the entire season, including the PNE itself. It needs to be replaced next Season. Truth. Red train running today. No children screaming and tearing around, today. Selfie (sort of) on the Carousel. And yes I am on a horse! Artsy fartsy shot. Haunt Maze going up for Fright Nights, next month. The Wheel was not running. Another Haunt Maze being assembled. Hey girls! See you next month! Another Haunt. They're actually pretty close together, so it's not a long walk between Houses and Mazes. Best Landscaped Ride in Playland, got it's watering today. Sadly, it doesn't really go upside down. It was a sad, lonely Arcade, today. Ooooo, that's how they set this Game up. Like a Murphy Bed! (Google it) For you lift hill chain freeks. Buh bye Coaster. See you on a Fright Night, next month! Final Seasonal Whee! Of all days to ride this thing. Splooosh. Two out of three, done! I'll be taking in a Fright Night next month. (o:
