  1. Nice Dollywood pics! love that park. T-Tornado is the smoothest Arrow I've ever been on.
  2. ^ LOL. part of the CF dysfunctional family of coasters. I could see it now: Beast, Son of Beast and now: MOM of Beast. MOB is decked out in her long stiletto heels (erector set structure) and you'll beg for more!
  3. It's the FASTEST hole in all of Sandusky!
  4. I don't see anything leaving CFPKI in the near future. I do see the possibility of them getting one or two more of GL's coasters. Villain would be a great addition to their Dead-Wood Collection. It's semi-long, has gotten really rough and assembles like an Erector Set.
  5. Some of the best pics I've seen yet! Great shots of people on the coasters. Damn fine job!
  6. http://www.pointbuzz.com/news.htm?id=1171 I can't speak for the accuracy of this.
  7. Cedar Fair will have a nationwide CornHole Tourney. They'll take the best CornHolers and send them for a free nights stay at a Motel 6 near MIA. Though they'll have to pay for parking at the park, they'll get into the park for half-price.
  8. It's hard to picture 'massive' anything for 30 million these days. Then again, 30 mil could get you a lot of rides from http://italintl.com/used-rides.php
  9. ^I've often wondered about the High Wind stuff. Not that accidents can't happen, but I've been on ski lifts in some massive winds and blizzards and they never shut down. The lifts in Ohio don't even have lapbars on them.
  10. Nice TR. Painful is right! Having raised two kids in Cleveland, i can tell you that coaster can seriously hurt adults. I always wish they'd put in a set of Flyers.
  11. I've been to that BK and you'll wait there longer when it isn't lunchtime. Hate that place. I think VAlley View got its name when they viewed it from the hills around it. (just like many Ohio cities, it makes no sense. )
  12. It's going to be the Worlds Largest, Fastest and Deepest CornHole Arena in the Universe!
  13. Back in the 90's, Conneaut Lake Park use to run concerts. I was Loverboy and REO Speedwagon. Other than that, Cheap Trick had the best show there.
  14. You ask a good question. Personally, i don't like what they've done to GL. In one season, they took out two of my favorite coasters. RWB has been broke since the season opened and it's not fixed, nor have i heard any talk about them fixing it. The remnants of the old 6F waterpark is still sitting rotting, as it has been since they bought the park several years ago. The Place looks like crap from RT 43 because of this when you drive by the park. The Space Needle ride has been in the same position for the past 3 years. They yanked the monorail. And for all these changes and deletions, we got CornHole?
  15. The boats were used during the Six flags years for shuttles from one side to the other. I think CF may have used them for the their first year. They stopped using them because they were not efficient at all. Took like 20 mins to load and 20 more to unload. It was faster walking. good pics.
  16. It's been ages since I've been to CW. I just don't have much faith in CF.
  17. It sounds to me like CW's going to be getting the CF touch. Woohoo, don't get too disappointed when all you get is CornHole.
  18. This park has to hold the record for the 'Briefest operating run' ever in amusement park history.
  19. Nice TR. Gotta love Ohio Fairs. Be it medina, cuyahoga or lake counties, they all look the same.
  20. I've always been afraid of this kind of accident on a Ferris Wheel. My fear was either metal fatigue and cracking a gondola axle or siezed bearings on the gondola axles. this is just bad.
  21. Okay, that's serioulsy gross. Hmmm, sounds like a candidate for the Belizian Tie 'em to an ant hill and pour syrup on them routine.
  22. Thanks Ted. i always looked at them as being like a side-friction with the 'sides' being in the middle of the car, like a slot car track.
  23. While we're talking credits: Ted, do you consider Devil's Den a credit? ( i always did, based on this: It has a powered lift, it has one drop, it runs on gravity and it freewheels on a steel track.)
  24. Geauga Lake gets my vote! CF spared no expense with GL's Haunted WaterPark theme. The swampy lazy river not only looks real, it has become real, complete with mosquitos, and dead birds bloatin' and floatin' (i have not seen this yet, but I've heard it's great.) It's got freaky abandoned huts and weeds growing through the pavement. Other than that, Cedar Points haunt is pretty good.
