  1. The title of this thread sounds like a Broadway Musical. Jennifer Aniston in Beauty and the Coaster! She's alone in a big city, affraid to venture out. Then she meets Son of Beast and her world is turned upside down! SOB takes her for a ride like no other. She becomes seduced by his mad powers! ...based loosely on the tales of Phantom of the Opera and beauty and the Beast.
  2. LOL, must be a launched verison of it. (loop is higher than the lift hill.)
  3. Nice pics. You didn't miss much by not eating at the Tower. That food is so over-priced. We went to the falls during the winter 3 years ago. Stayed on the Canadian side and ate at the tower. Two kids meals, two bowls of French onion soup and two salads, two coffees and two pops=85 american. that didn't include tip.
  4. Ahhhhh, DollyWood..... Great Tr! any pic of DollllyWood is worth framing.
  5. As always, great TR, Eric! a 28.00 dollar buffet???? sheeesh, that would hurt.
  6. Height doesn't bother me at all. Que lines scare me. There's always someone who used too much perfume or that overweight person that hasn't seen deodorant in years much less used it. Then there's the kid who has to sing Millie Vannily. Then there's the person who ate Taco Bell and is farting like crazy. I don't like que lines....
  7. CLP's BlueStreak. several times in several seating locations.
  8. Ted: you have bad luck with GL. Wasn't it last year you went on Cleveland Clinic day?
  9. Some hosts should be retired...
  10. The mentos episode of Mythbusters was awesome!
  11. ^LOL, sounds like Old Spice to me.
  12. Well, considering your nic is coasterVekoma, you must know something of pain. Have no fear of parks or coasters. If an accident occurs, than it occurs. I think if it's your time to be hurt, you're going to be hurt no matter where you are.
  13. Wow. Good thing he didn't ride Serial Thriller at GL, he'd probibly have no legs.
  14. I want steak! Rare. Back to the subject: In a lot of the USA, hunting is needed for population control. AS stated, their food supply would vanish in like one, maybe two seasons. What's more cruel, putting a bullet thru their heads and eating them or letting them starve to death? Deer sounds good to me.
  15. It looks cute. I wonder how they handle in snow. Tires would be inexpensive. The thought of a long trip in it would scare me. I did a long trip in a Cavalier once and came out of it claustrophobic (sp?). Hercules: here's why i have an SUV: When you have a family, and you go to Home Depot/Lowes for lumber every two weeks, an SUV is a better alternative to pick-up truck. Yeah, i pay through the nose for gas, but compared to loading and hauling wood, my old 1997 Pontiac Grand Am just didn't cut it and having a 4cyl engine made trailers impossible to tow.
  16. Layoffs and downsizing occur in almost every business eventually. Still, it is sad to see it at parks.
  17. Hit MF first, followed by TTD. EVerything after that is usually not too bad of a wait. From what i've been hearing lately, the park starts clearing out around 6-6:30, so that should help with later rides.
  18. While standing in line for The Bug at CLP last weekend, some guy said: Man, that is the weirdest Round-Up I've ever seen.
  19. I looked for ya, but didn't see you. yeah, the BlueStreak went down for a bit. The last car became detached fromt the front of the train. Looked cool. We were standing in line at the train when my daughter snapped a pick of it. Then we saw the last car coming over thr rise behind it. I'll do a pick report when i get time.
  20. Hi, We'll be going to CLP tomorrow and hope to see you, Ken. Any updates on what is and isn't working would be great. We're staying at Camperland.
  21. LOL, We used to kick each other all the time on the YO-YO at CLP, (when they had one). I saw one of those at a carnival turn into a Human Weed-Whacker. The moron running the ride sat everyone on one side. (there was maybe 5-6 people) As soon as it hit about half speed, that baby rocked to one side and started smacking their feet and knees into the pavement. that was like 10 years ago. haven't been on carny rides since.
  22. I'd say DollyWoods train is the best i've been on. It's a full-sized authentic steam train that snakes thru the woods and park. It being in the Smokey's makes for a nice view.
  23. My obessesion would be construction. I love to build things or help my neighbors build stuff. So far, I've helped build 7 Pools, four above ground and 3 below. 6 garages, countless sheds and walkways and a few other things. I should've been born Amish.
