Report in from Cedar Point - it went incredibly well. We had a great time riding Magnum and Gemini - I personally rode Magnum 10 times and Gemini 20 times. Photos are on the way, I believe - but it was a very light crowd sort of day. It was sizzling hot and humid today, but overall I had a blast. Cedar Point, Give Kids the World, TPR riders and many more - a huge class act!

I'm pretty much set and ready to head down to Sandusky, Ohio. I cannot wait to see all my TPR teammates tomorrow morning! Let's put on a class act and do Theme Park Review proud! I even got a haircut in case we're interviewed by local media in Sandusky and surrounding townships. I'll see y'all soon! Cannot wait for tomorrow.

This was discussed a few pages back. While there isn't anything stating that you are forced to stay at the ride, I personally think it would be kind of rude and not good team spirit if you left and did your own thing when you signed up for an event where you ride with your teammates. Oh, I totally understand. It wouldn't be a class act to ditch out early and not ride with friends and team mates - I understand and I just wanted to make sure of it. I just didn't want to seem uninformed - thanks for the opinion, Robb.

Sorry if this was asked before but I want to make double sure on this - do we have to stay the entire duration of the riding portion? Can we take off after a point and do our own thing, or is it required we're there the whole time? 8am-5pm for CP folks. I wanted to make sure because I'm thinking of getting Fastlane wristbands and wanted to use them effectively.

They released another article on MLB.com Therefore it may not be the end as we previously thought? LINK: http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20120504&content_id=30375790&vkey=news_mlb&c_id=mlb -
http://www.firstgiving.com/fundraiser/christianbenvenuto/CedarPoint Just asking for alittle help here reaching my goal. I mistakenly didn't realize I didn't put myself under the Team TPR flag and I need donations. So if you see Team Christian Benvenuto - that's me but ultimately with Team TPR. I'm trying to get this problem fixed, but just letting people know. Thanks!

June isn't really that far off and I can already feel the excitement. All of this goes towards an amazing cause and charity - something I've always wanted to do. I also get to do it while having fun with some friends and get to spend a day out at Cedar Point. Otherwise this would've been a usual lazy Sunday for myself - better to use it having fun and raising money then to spend at home napping and doing nothing. EDIT to go with Robb's above post: I'm Christian or Chris for short. I've known about Give Kids the World for awhile now - but have never been really able to pitch in. Taking advantage of this chance will allow me to help others while having fun myself. I plan to raise about 75 dollars - but more would be great for the charity. It happens to take place one of my favorite rides at Cedar Point - which happens to be Magnum. Sure - there's better rides then Magnum - but you have to pick your battles and settle for what's there for you. I look forward to meeting everyone at the park in June - this should be a truly awesome event which will really rally us all together for a common cause. It's going to be absolutely wonderful - just can't wait for June!

NCAA Basketball Tournment 2012 Thread

The fact that two #15's upset their respective #2 seeds. That alone makes the tournament memorable! -
I was going to say just this. Well - I think it looks good as well. Sure - the tents don't fit as well as one would think. But then you look at parks like Cedar Point realizing they have Lighthouse Point and an RV site. That's real life and do you think that doesn't fit in when it's at the deep end of the park by Mean Streak? no? Too bad - that's Cedar Point for you and it helps them to make money. I can see where you're going with the camping idea - well besides the obvious sticking out tents. I think it's an ok thing. Can't wait to see the park, though! keep up the good work!

Right now for the moment I'm working for an associate's in Web Design through Art Institute Online. It's a fun process and I've really grown to like the instructors and what they expect of people. This is where I was meant to be when I graduated from high school instead of a local community college which I was stupid with and went to. I'm currently getting a B in afew of my classes at present and hopefully by 2013 I'll have something in my hands to prove my work well. Then, from there? Who knows maybe I'll be off to another state to finish up for a bachelor's and work my way from there.

New ride @ Ok Corral [France]
Chris Benvenuto replied to fdelhomez's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The fact that it's Gerstlauer alone makes it all the more better then Vekoma. But, I do admit I do want to try out that Junior Boomerang that Vekoma has been hawking out recently. That knocks another obscure coaster model off this list - isn't GravityMax the only model or coaster of it's kind? It's like the only Tilt Coaster that was ever made and I think it's in Taiwan? -
Oldest Coaster You've Ridden

Leap the Dips at Lakemont Park - real cute ride despite it's obvious age and small size.
