  1. What!? You must of rode on a wheel seat! I rode it in April also (April 3rd) and it was very smooth and had pretty good airtime! I also rode in the front seat of the second car.

  3. ^Same here. While were on the topic of HWN, how about a roll call? If your attending HWN, copy and paste the list and add your name to it! 1. Nick (angryemobeaver {actually DropZone99 on every other site})
  4. Thanks! I like that photo also! ------------- Here is a random video from those two HW visits, I might make a few more small videos for KI and maybe a video just for Voyage later. [coastertube]http://www.themeparkreview.com/coastertube/play.php?vid=Hollardai_Wurld!1!!!11!!one!1!!_wyab[/coastertube] And yes, I know Little Freak by Usher isn't a good song choice for a video about a park that is '#1 for family fun!' but Little Freak is my favorite song, and it goes well with the clips!
  5. Here are some photos I took at Holiday World the past week, I noticed a few rides at HW aren't even on the park index, so here are some photos! Voyage with Raven's PTC Star Spangled Carousal Star Spangled Carousal Gobble Getaway Otorongo Zoombobwe Jungle Racer Jungle Racer Wildebeest Wildebeest Bahari Bahari Zinga This is actually Jungle Jets, but with a random sign Bahari River Bahari River Watubee & Otorongo The Wave
  6. Part 2 of May 26, 2010 Holiday World PTR Legend's twisted drop Liberty Launch in the trees! Theme Park Review doesn't have any photos of Indian River in it's park index, so here is one of the sign, didn't get one of the actual ride but will take a photo during HWN this upcoming weekend Which is better? This... ...Or this? TPR also doesn't have a photo of the carousal... We rode Voyage too! But not with Timberliners..! Random part of Raging Rapids, speaking of Raging Rapids is it any good? I still haven't ridden it DUELING VOYAGE!!!1!11!!one!!!1! Maybe TPR will want some waterpark photos for the park index? If so, here is Otorongo ZOOMbabwe, I think thats how it's spelled Jungle Racer Zinga Read the sign... Random flowers by Bahari Bahari Bahari once again, only with a great back drop with some of Splashin' Safari's slides, and Legend Wildebeest sign Wildebeest's queue, which is pretty short in the photo! Sorry, Wildebeest is very hard to get good photos of, so these are the best I could get Ending helix Last helix and sign Heres another Jungle Racer photo Now we are back in the theme park riding Legend And now at Raven Can you find me? Here is what I look like, and yes I approve Raven! We ended up riding Raven a few times, than wanted to end the night with one last ride on Legend, which happened to be the last train of the night! And yeah, I don't know why I'm saying this in the caption of a photo of Raven's entrance... While waiting for my favorite seat on Legend (second to back), I randomly approved free Pepsi! After our ride on Legend we took a few photos in the Christmas area, which is very beautiful and probably will never get a major attraction, but thats good because it's the park's 'main street' I really like this photo! What do you think? The old HW tower needs painted Here is me one last time, I guess I DON'T approve Santa? Bye Holiday World! See you at Holiwood Nights!
  7. ^Thanks, me too! ^^Thanks, I love HW also! ------------- Since we had so much fun at Holiday World, we decided to go again just a few days later. This time is was me, Zach, Zach's ex-girlfriend, and Mitchell. We originally planned on getting there for opening than riding Raven until Splashin' Safari opened, than after the water park we would just ride Voyage and Legend the rest of the day with a few breaks on Raven and the 4th. of July flat rides. But since we didn't get there until 30 minutes until Splashin' Safari opened, we decided to just ride Voyage once than go to the water park. Voyage had a station wait which isn't too bad, but when we got off, the line was to the stairs. After a ride on Voyage we went to Splashin' Safari for a few hours. After that we rode Legend once, than rode Voyage alot! At about 3PM. we took a break and rode Eagle's Flight twice and Liberty Launch. Than we rode Voyage some more until it closed at 4:30. I wanted to take some photos of Wildebeest and get another ride on it, so we went back to Splashin' Safari. We left the water park as it was about to close, than Mitchell & I rode Raven a few times and go the last train of the night on Legend. We arrived at HW to see this... Not a good thing! We decided to get one ride on Voyage than go to Splashin' Safari, it was a walkon but as we were going up the stairs, it seemed like the whole park followed us because all the sudden the line spilled out to the outside queues! I've always wandered why do people throw their bracelets on the roof? Do they think a genie will grant them a wish or something!? Another great day for photos! I wish they would open up this gate, it'd be so much quicker Seems like every photo I have of the blue PTC, the weather is cloudy Seriously. this was the next train and look how much sunnier it is! I went to Splashin' Safari but didn't take photos (did go back later and take some) but here I am at Legend's station! I love Voyage's station! Another Timberliner 'update' There is Mitchell in the Hard Rock Park shirt, than Zach and his ex-girlfriend behind Mitchell As we were getting on Voyage we saw Paula and some film crew. I asked the camera crew what they were filming for and they wouldn't tell me, it turns out it was for some boy scout thing The most photogenic Grandma? Scored 1020, my new record. I really shouldn't say record as if I ride it all the time or something, this was only my second time on it Plymouth Cafe wasn't open at all on Wednesday for some reason... This midway would look so good if it got those brick style paths Don't you agree? Okay since I suck at captions, I'm only going to put captions on photos that either need it, or I have something to say! Okay well the second half of the photos will be posted some time tonight probably. I have to go swim!
  8. Legend at Holiday World! Next one will probably be Voyage on Holiwood Nights unless I go to Kings Island randomly this week.
  9. ^I rode Ravage (Voyage with Raven's PTC) somewhere around 15 times and Voyage with it's original PTC somewhere around 40 times this year (for a total of 55 rides on Voyage) and I could tell Ravage is much smoother, but it also seemed like it didn't go as fast or it didn't produce as much airtime. Overall I like how the original trains ride better, but red trains on Voyage make for amazing photos!
  10. I see what you mean, but wasn't Chang actually one of the better standups? I never got to ride it, but at Cedar Point Mantis almost always has a partially full queue. And thats saying alot when the park has so many better rides and attractions. But than again, people say Iron Wolf is horrible (I actually liked it, but I don't like Mantis) so it is a weird decision to build another standup in the same park.
  11. ^If Voyage counts, than Voyage is the best out-n-back! My favorite classic out-n-back would probably be either Thunder Road at Carowinds or American Eagle at SFGAm.
  12. I'm glad to see my nearest Six Flags (or is SFSTL closer?) get another coaster. I never did get to ride Chang, so it'll be nice to ride it. I hope they can somehow find a way to have floorless trains.
  13. Hey, I actually just got back from Holiday World again so expect another thing of photos to be posted here soon! Mk, so anyways; We left La Rosas around midnight and got to Zach's house at 2AM. Than just three hours later we woke up and drove 30 minutes to Zach's friends house who lived in the middle of nowhere! I went to sleep and at about the time we arrived at Holiday World, the park was just opening. The Raven lot was full and Legend lot was getting there, we saw many buses too! Not a good sign... Honestly, I can't remember when we rode stuff or anything, so I'll just make a list of what we rode than show off the photos! Rides rode: Voyage: 11 Raven: 1 Legend: 3 Howler: 2 Eagle's Flight: 1 Wildebeest: 1 ZOOMbobwe: 1 Jungle Racer: 1 Otorongo: 1 Watubee: 1 I might as well say what I thought about Wildebeest. First of all, this is my old opinion as of before today. I only got to ride it once last time (this PTR) and waited two hours for it. Now since I've ridden it more, my opinion has changed! But anyways, the ride was fun but I actually liked Jungle Racer more. There were a few times where I could feel myself fly out of my seat, but I didn't get that airtime feeling. I wasn't impressed and said "I'm only riding it again if there isn't a wait" which there was still a full queue. But I later rode again (today) and now love it! Legend obviously... Legend sign (Howl) Don't look back! I loves me some of them laterals Hey it's a walkon! No it's not. That was the back queue, the front queue is pretty much filled Now it's time for some Voyage! By the way, I like this photo, but I wish I could add a little Voyage logo at the top right corner, that'd be awesome! This was actually my first time going into the indoor queue house, but luckily we just walked passed it They took off the back car of each train I thought this was kinda neato 66º! ♥Voyage I wander if there will ever be another coaster built in the next like ten or so years, better than Voyage Random Pilgrim's Plunge photo #1! #2! And #3, my personal favorite! So now were in Splashin' Safari! Still have yet to ride Bakuli! Looks alright Both of these are pretty good, I like Otorongo better, no matter which side The not-as-good-older-wave-pool-with-a-generic-name-but-with-Voyage-and-Pilgrims-Plunge-behind-it ZOOMBabwe or how ever you spell it Yummmmm Voyage Since I'm now trying to post more on TPR, I guess I'm supposed to talk about some bunnies with medicine and goo or something? I don't know, heres some fat chick though! Legend was calling our names from Splashin' Safari (oh and sorry, not Wildebeest photos in this PTR, but took some today!) Random Legend laterals But instead we went to Ravage! Dumb fences in the way I love how Ravage looks, but it seemed slower and smoother so less airtime True dat' homie! NOT 90º's! Ravage is soo much prettier than the blue PTCs TIMBERLINERS! Close up New piece Ehh... not that good of a photo Bee keeper simulator part of the ride! 167' tall, right? Bye Voyage! We ended up riding it later, but this is all the photos I took of it this time Raging Rapids station The kinda hidden sign Eagle's Flight, I feel proud! I can get these to snap a tiny bit! Zach needed his Howler credit, I rode with him but while in line I took this photo Didn't people complain HW didn't have a Carousal, than once they built one, everyone was mad because the bumper boats got removed? Liberty Launch, the best of the S&S drop towers I've ridden, but I still have yet to rides IB's If the one at IB is even half as good as HW's it'll be a great ride! Midnight Ride... yup Christmas Halloween Hallowswings 1 Hallowswings 2 Yeah okay I know my captions suck, It's 12:30 and I've been up since 6AM. and been riding coasters all day! I love the bells that ring when Legend leaves the station! Legend's cool schoolhouse themed station Time for Raven! Raven's station, what is it supposed to be themed as? And old house? Okay good! The last photo of this PTR! Sorry the captions sucked and it's not detailed at all! Tomorrow when I do today's PTR I'll try to make it better!
  14. After riding Voyage for the first time just a few weeks ago (on opening day) I instantly fell in love, I had to come back. Just about three weeks later I found myself back at Holiday World (and Kings Island the night before). So my friend Zach and I randomly visit KI for a few hours about once a week, and this week we went on Friday and arrived at about 4PM. We knew it was going to rain, but not as much as it did. There wasn't too many cars in the parking lot but there was about 739 buses, the park still wasn't too busy though. We knew it was going to be a great day filled with tons of rides! Here is the billions of buses... As we were waiting for Tom I snapped a few photos I caught someone spitting of Eiffel Tower! Delirium above the trees (and Royal Fountains) Hey theres Tom! We all went to Diamondback hoping for a small queue wait. It was about 20 minutes which wasn't too bad In line I took a random photo of Vortex. Yup... So we finally get into the station, and we see this.... Nope, it wasn't nap time. A huge storm was coming in and little did we know it, but would ruin our night The storm arrived probably around 3PM. or so, and went on til' 7PM. After 7, it was no where to be found After a few hours of waiting, it was down to the enthusiasts. Our group, and than Gary Coleman; the guy who recently got his 2,000th. ride on Diamondback Your probably wandering why all the sudden it's some girl holding a pizza. Well Kings Island decided since the storm went away, they would close the park. So we met up with more KICers and went to La Rosas down the street! This is Angie (Gigacoaster2k) holding a personal pizza Tom ordered the fries which didn't sound too good being at a pizzeria OM NOM NOM NOM We all got super hyper and went crazy. I'll upload a video later and post it, but take my word that we all went a little insane I randomly made my hair have a unicorn spike thing! Than we started talking about uniboobs Angie eventually lost it and died at the table. No not really, we actually stayed at the place til' it closed than had a rave in the parking lot Here is us (well part of us), Theres Tom, Angie, Zach, than me. Please ignore the weird faces were making, we crazy! Okay, Holiday World is up next!
  15. I was at Kings Island that day, pissed me off. We drove about 2 hours to KI, and waited 4 hours for Diamondback (including after the ride closed and we waited in the storm). We didn't end up riding Diamondback OR anything else at all. Supposedly the reason they closed the park early is because of all the schools since they were leaving. Makes me really mad because after the park closed, the weather cleared up and was pretty sunny and no rain at all. Oh well, I had tons of fun at La Rosas with some friends from KICentral, and than Holiday World the next day.
  16. Agreed. Legend is wayyyy better than Raven. I'm sure it's because we have different tastes in coasters, but I like a little roughness in wooden coasters, and I LOVE lateral G's so Legend is one of my favorite coasters. Raven is a great coaster though, if it was just a couple hundred feet longer than it'd most likely be better than Legend, but the ride is just too short. But obviously Voyage pwns both of them.
  17. I think everyone gets banned from KDFansite at one time. Infact, all of my KD friends are banned from KDFansite, or have been. I don't think I am though.
  18. GREAT photos so far, your PTRs are always some of the best. I'm going back to HW this weekend and cannot wait for Wildebeest! Hurry up and post the second thing of photos!
  19. I'm really hoping my youngest son likes the roller coasters because then I can manage to score us a ride on a red Voyage train, but if not at least I will be able to snap a few pics of it while I am there. When did you say you are going back to HW again?
  20. ^^^^ You really need to go to Holiday World, especially since your so close to it. I live in Indianapolis so it's a three hour drive, but if I had the money, I would buy a season pass and go all the time. Just one ride on Voyage alone is worth the entire drive there, not to mention Legend and Raven are also great coasters that are in my top 10, plus they have the second best water park in America. Oh, and about the people not riding in the front row of Pilgrim's Plunge. I'm pretty sure I see people riding in the front row, they are black so they blend in with the seat.
  21. Kings Island is my home park, and I went to Carowinds a few weeks ago. I loved Carowinds! We went on a very busy day so I didn't get all the credits (Didn't get Ricochet and Crabbie Cabbie) and only got to ride Intimidator twice. Intimidator is my favorite B&M Hyper (I've ridden Intimdiator, Goliath SFOG, Raging Bull, and Diamondback). It has the best airtime out of those. It doesn't have the laterals that Raging Bull and Goliath have, but it does have more laterals than Diamondback. The ride has a somewhat out of control feeling because of it's 'panoramic turn' and the crazy second drop. Overall it ranks as #3 in my steel coaster list, and is my favorite B&M!
  22. What a great PTR! Some of the best photos I've ever seen taken at Holiday World. Too bad it was cloudy, if it was sunny than the photos would of been even better. I might be going to HW again this weekend, so if I do, I might have to try to find some of those angles to take some good photos. Is that all of the photos, or is there more? And could you give a more detailed comment on what you thought of Voyage, Legend, and Raven? And maybe a ride count? Thanks.
  23. I actually like Voyage's roughness. It's not extremely rough that it's not enjoyable, but it's not too smooth like most GCIIs where the ride doesn't seem intense at all. This may sound odd, but because of how smooth Thunderhead is, I actually like Son of Beast better (than Thunderhead).
  24. I got invited to Holiday World this Saturday (and going to KI on Friday), so if I end up going, expect another PTR. I will be in Splashin' Safari and try to get photos, but I'm really wanting to get my 50th. ride on Voyage on Saturday. I'm at 29 now (only been once).
