^A whole class devoted to using one website? Oh my...I don't know where to begin on that. As for me testing out of the class, I think I could have done it, but at the same time I'm glad I didn't. As I was doing the homework, I realized that I didn't know MS Word as well as I thought I did. Oh well, it was a good refresher for me anyway. We're not at the Power Point section of the class, yet, but I'll let you know when we get to it, especially if we have to make ten slides on Egypt and Inuits. Here's one more rant for the night before bed. Why must people drive down the street with their bass turned up that it rattles the windows at 2am? I'd really like to run outside and yell at this person but what would be the point of that? They probably wouldn't hear me.....

I can't stand my Intro to Computers teacher, let alone the class! There are at least two people that know more about computers than everyone else in the class. If they know so much, why didn't they test out of the class??? Oh and our last assignment was supposed to be due Sept. 24th, well it was due the 17th. I pointed that out to him the week prior, and he said it was a mistake. So much for following the syllabus! Well guess what happened this past Wednesday night when I went to class? If you guessed that he is going to accept the assignment the following week (the 24th), then you win the million dollar question....too bad I don't have a million dollars to give to you.

Here is my list and reasonings, well more guesses really.... Michigan's Adventure-I really dont see this park failing/closing, but if Cedar Fair decides to do any cutbacks, I'm afraid that this would be the first park to go since it's the latest addition to the CF family. It already has several major roller coasters, not to mention a water park, and has a lot of potential. Kiddieland-Every year I hear this place will close, but it hasn't...yet. I'm not sure what the family situation is now, but if they do close, I'm hoping that another park will buy Little Dipper. Little A-Merrick-A-Again, I don't see this park failing/closing anytime soon, especially with the addition of the Comet. I think this park has a lot of potential, and if the owners do decide to close it, it would only be due to monetery reasons. Fun Spot-I have yet to see this park in person, but from checking out the webiste and seeing the trip reports, I think this may be another to close. The main reason being money since it's a small family owned park. As far as HRP goes, I'd like to see it suceed. I'd hate to see a new park go under so quickly. Let's hope that next year HRP will improve. If not, then maybe some re-organization of operations need to happen first before closing the park.

I have a couple of friends that read the Twilight series. They absolutely loved it. I have the first book, but have not read it yet. I reccomend the following books.... What Happened to Cass McBride? - Gail Giles: This is about Cass McBride who is the popular student in school. David is the more unpopular boy in school, and commits suicide. David's brother wants revenge on the person who he feels is responsible for David's death, which is Cass. It's told by Cass', her captor and the police investigating her dissaperance. Dead Girls Don't Write Letters - Gail Giles: Sunny's sister, Jazz, is presumed dead. Sunny receives a letter from Jazz saying that she's alive, but when she comes home to visit, the family realizes that although Jazz my know a lot about the family, it's not really her.

Awwww Mike I'm sorry to hear about Lucky Dog. Hailey (our black lab) did something to her leg a few days ago. She was limping around and kept biting at her leg. We managed to wrap it and the next morning she was fine. Of course trying to get her to calm down and stay off of it for another day was impossible. I started to think she was just faking it because she felt we ignored her. She is a bit needy at times. Anyway, it stinks that you couldnt make it out to Michigan. There is always next year though, and I'll be sure to meet up with you for that trip! Give Lucky Dog my love! Hope he makes a speedy recovery!

I'm so sorry to hear that. I'll keep you in my prayers. I hope everything goes well and you're back riding coasters in no time.

Jojo goes to Minneso-tah and Wisconsin

Well my friend took a picture of me with the treasure hunt prize. I'll have to have him email me that picture. Since I'm home today, I may have to stop over at Walgreens to get a few more pictures developed. I have more pics from Nick Universe to add. I'll edit some captions in as well. Thanks for reading! -
Thanks Mike! Maybe next year this game can be expanded. For example, lets say you go to Cedar Point. You hide an object (like a dollar or even a duck) and post a picture of the area that you hid it in (whithout giving away where exactly it is). The person that finds that object has to hide it in another park posting a picture of the general area where it is hidden. It's almost like hide and go seek. We'd probably have to start a whole entire thread dedicated to the game!

Hello fellow TPR members! My name is Jo and I've been a long time lurker here. This will be my first PTR so any advice is greatly appreciated. Over Labor Day weekend my friend and I decided to head up to Wisconsin and Minnesota. We've been talking about this for awhile now, and schedules were finally clear and everything just fell into place. So we left the Chicago area at 6pm and arrived in St. Paul around 12:30am. Yes it was a long drive, and we made it in decent time too. It was the big 105th Harley Davidson weekend in Milwaukee and traffic wasnt as bad as I thought it was going to be. Plus we stopped about 4 times for either gas, food or just to run around in the parking lot of a rest area. Our first stop was MoA and Nick Universe. Here are some pictures from that day. I'm doing this in small batches so please be patient. I'll be putting up more pictures later tonight or even tomorrow. Again I'd appreciate any feedback. Enjoy! View from ferris wheel. More Spongebob Part of Avitar and Orange Streak. I love this vertical lift. The best drop I've ever been on.

^Yes I've had the pleasure of talking with John a few times, while I was an employee and as a guest. He really takes the time to hear what you have to say (both good and bad). It's great to have a GM like him. -

Thanks for sharing! I can't wait to go this year. Sadly I havent bought my season pass yet. ( I know I'm a bad coaster enthusiast.) Anyway, just to clarify Viva was right. There were no queues at Theater Royale. The doors opened and you were in. And, I think the GM is John Curty, but I could be wrong. I used to work there about 10 years ago and John was working there when I was there. -
Can we add the Koopa track to that list? It must have been picked at least five times last night while I was playing in the regional races.
-
OK I finally added everyone else. I think I'm missing a few though, but I'm not sure. Once I'm added to everyone's list I'll be able to figure out whos who. Oh, and one quick question for everyone. Do you find it easier to play with the Wii wheel or a controller? Personally, I like the controller. I had better control of the car using that than the Wii wheel. I guess I just need some more practice using the wheel.

So far I have added Tyler, Erik and Elissa. I wasnt able to add everyone else last night, (since I only wrote down a few codes) but I will add everyone else tonight. I think I have everyone, but if I missed you, please send me a PM with your code and I will add you. I'll be on in about an hour or so. See you then!

Here's my info! 3007-8509-6070 I plan on playing a little bit later tonight so I'll imput everyone's number then. BTW: the name is Jo

PRISM was sponsoring this event on Friday at my school. For the past week and a half they were in outside the cafeteria educating the other students about the event (and other issues that gay, bi and transgendered people face.) Our school administration supported it and a mass email was sent out to staff letting us know of the event. The kids who were participating met in the main lobby before classes started and was handed a sticker (and information on the event) to wear all day. I think it made an impact because a lot of students who were not participating asked me what the DoS actually meant. Although I noticed there were some who started participating towards the end of the day. I thought it was great, but I think they decided that they didn't want to talk in class, or were trying to get out of an assignment.

I'm upset with the idiot that held up the drive thru line at Wendys. There were two cars in front of me. I just got my food and the driver in the first car gets out and goes into the building. Of course its a drive thru where you have no place to go so its not like I could drive around him, otherwise I would have. I dont know why he just didnt drive another 5 feet and park the car! Some not so nice words came out of my mouth and he finally gets back into his car and drives to a parking spot. He gets out of his car and holds his arms open like he's Jesus. I think he wanted to fight me!! I thought for a second to park my car and yell at him some more, or better yet call the cops but decided it wasnt worth my time. I rolled my eyes, brushed him off and drove away, still upset of course.

I didnt read all 200+ pages of this thread, and I'm sure someone may have mentioned this already so I'm sorry if I bring it up yet again. Airport security stinks. I understand the reasoning behind it, but its not really the TSA workers, its the other travelers. Recently I went to Vegas. Leaving from Milwaukee there was a long line to get through security. Once the wonderful TSA agent looked at our tickets and ID's I decided to take off my shoes and ready myself to get through security. I wanted to throw my stuff in the bin and get through, just like everyone else. My mom and friend did the same thing. A few TSA agents thought it was funny but they all said that we were doing the smart thing. I would have thought that other travelers would take the hint and get their stuff together. Did they? Of course not!! That would have been too easy!! Now I understand if you have laptops, cameras and other larger electronic equipment and you need to take everything out when you get to the screening area. I also understand if you're traveling with small children, but most of the people in line looked like they were heading out of town for Spring Break, just like I was. All I ask from other travelers is to be aware of whats going on, and try to be ready if you can and speed through the line. Nobody likes waiting going through security anyway. Oh, and coming back from Vegas was worse! Not everyone was aware of the 3-1-1 rule. It's posted everyone and all news outlets talked about it for weeks after TSA annouced it.

2 hours until school ends and spring break starts!!

The last book I read was Water for Elephants by Sarah Gruen. I'm currently reading Uglies by Scott Westerfield and my next book will be The Kite Runner by Kahled Hosseini. I'm glad Christmas break is coming up, I'll have more time to read, but after that I'll have to go back to reading text books.
