SFGAm Guiness World Record(s)
Jojo19799 replied to Mr. Starr's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^^I know, I ruin all the fun. I am wondering the same thing. The only showers I know of are in the bathrooms. Are they going to cram everyone in the bathroom then? If they do, they could go for three world records then - Largest Shower, Most People Showering Simultaneously and The Most People Crammed into a Public Bathroom Shower Area. -

OTHER DETAILS: Guinness World Record attempt participants should arrive in their bathing suits and participants under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult. All participants should bring a change of clothes if planning to spend the day in the theme park. See, it's covered.....or they're covered. -
^So does mine.

My friend Jen, her boyfriend Woody and I were planning on going sometime this summer. Once we picked a day I was going to PM you guys (Cameron, Matt and Craig) to see if any of you would be interested in going. Everyone is welcome to join us though!! I don't have a final date, but it might be the second weekend of July. -

I've lived in the Chicagoland area for the past 23 years and I have yet to go to IB. I've also been hearing commercials that mentioned free general admission. I looked at the website and it said "rides and attractions require an admission ticket." What exactly do they mean by that? Do we have to purchase tickets (like you would for a carnival) to ride all the rides? Or, are they just offering free general admission for those who aren't going to be riding any of the rides? I honestly don't mind paying, but it would be nice to know all the info before heading to the park. -
I was there tonight too. We got there around 4 and stayed until closing, which we thought was 10. We skipped a majority of the coasters because we didn't want to wait too long, and we were going to see a few of the shows anyway. We did get on Demon, and that was about a 10 min wait. I didn't know that Demon was on the Q-bot list. I've honestly never used the system before but I knew RB, S:UF and TDK were on the list. I guess it surprised me because I've always waited around 10 min or less for the ride. With the exception of FF, that was a bit longer of a wait.

Actually, Deja Vu once stood on the space where Bucaneer Battle is now. It is your basic boomerang. Everytime I went to the park the line was either 3 hours long, or it wasn't open. I think one season it didn't open until FF. I think it has been moved to another park, but I could be wrong. I hope someone could clarify that. Shockwave and Rolling Thunder were two of the best rides in the park, well to me anyway. S:UF and Viper now stand where they once were. I probably have some pictures of both coasters. I'll see if I can find them and post them here.

The 4th of July is on a Saturday this year, and most places will use July 3rd as their holiday. That's how my work is doing it anyway, but every company is different. I'm sure a lot of people will be taking the Thursday before or the Monday after off. It might be busy, it might not, but I'm going to go with it being busy. Unless it's a super hot day and everyone else goes into the water park and abandons the rest of the park, which is a long shot.

I just read a story on CNN that a 19 year old is facing up to 158 years in prison for killing 19 cats. I also saw a headline on CNN stating that a man only received a one year prison sentence for raping a 4 year old girl. Obviously both crimes are horrendous, but where's the justice?

^For a second I thought you were referring to something that was said while we were waiting for RB. It's still funny though! -

Well I guess I'll have to keep checking SFGAMworld for events like this. Still, it would have been nice to receive something via email or snail mail. Oh well. I'm glad that everyone who did go had a great time and I'm looking forward to seeing the show. BTW Thank you for the info Mr. Star -

I love the show Dinner Impossible, but I thought Robert Irvine wasn't going to be on it anymore due to some "lies" he created. Oh well, the more important thing is you had fun....and free food! How did you receive an invite anyway? Was this geared towards ACE members or the SF Funatics? I did sign up for the Funatics, but have yet to receive anything. -
I work at a high school, and our Varsity Baseball team made it to state. I was supposedly sent information on this to put on the electronic sign that doesn't work....yet. I wish I was on the Scandi trip.
-
If people want me to do my job, they better give me all the information. I'm not a mind reader, and how am I supposed to know when the baseball team plays even though you said I should have this info. When I say I don't have something, that usually means I don't have it. Geez.

I'm with you kid. I'm staying away from that. Although I have to admit it does look cool. I just don't think its for me. -

Sorry just catching up with this thread now, but it's good to know I'm not the only one who saw it.
