  1. Considering that days with very light crowds seem to be the rule and not the exception at Knott's, to go to Haunt for the rides would be frustrating. Haunt is for the mazes, overall atmosphere...and meeting chicks? Maybe!
  2. Yes, I was a Guinness Book enthusiast as a kid in the 80's, and I too remember reading about Moonsault Scramble. I think it was the tallest in the world at the time.
  3. Robb himself (not to be confused with Raab Himself) started a thread much like this one: www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=529&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0 ...and he said what his first credit was.
  4. I get as many as I can get, but don’t mind if I miss a few kiddie coasters. This is why I've never been on the kiddie coasters at SFMM and KBF, for example. Well, I thought they had a maximum height limit. I see now it's only a factor on Goliath Jr.
  5. So, are traveling carnival/fair coasters considered credits? I admit they would be if they were permanent fixtures.
  6. The second line of the title does refer to that.
  7. Is it just me, does it just appear that way, or does the full/full element not even invert you once?
  8. Baco is Spanish for Bacchus, the god of wine. Furius is not actually the proper Spanish word for furious, that would be furioso.
  9. Taken today Why does my score always suck?
  10. I've been on X a few times and never felt that "stomach in your throat" feeling, Anyone else agree?
  11. Yeah, the original (I believe) 1st gen Intamin freefall, the aptly named Freefall at SFMM produces a feeling I don't think has been surpassed on any other ride I've been on. Which begs the question "is that it?"
  12. Or is it even a roller coaster, could it be a drop tower? You tell me! We all want to know!
  13. It's not being paved over to make condos or another cookie-cutter housing tract, but I know you were all joking and really know that's not happening. All of you SFMM haters out there, let me ask you this...do you really think SFMM is worse than undeveloped land, a blank slate? It takes years and years to make a world class amusement park, especially one that emphasizes thrills. Despite its faults, SFMM is not unsalvagable. It can be saved. A few more rides (Maybe a TTD/KK clone, an Intamin plug-n-play woodie) and a little more renovation would take it once again past Cedar Point. Closing Magic Mountain would cause a serious thrill ride deficit in this country's #1 state. Sure, SFMM could be better, but despite its flaws it's far from bad, and DEFINATELY worth saving!
  14. Yeah, it is definately SFNO's Batman. www.rcdb.com/id3976.htm
  15. This one made me hungry for a Wendy's Triple Stack.
  16. 27 now (3/29/80) ... My first real coaster may have been Matterhorn- Tomorrowland side, or BTMRR. I can't remember which I hit first. I was 10. I admit I got started a little late but by 11 I was hooked and would go on anything.
  17. Yeah, but just because people aren't replying doesn't mean they aren't looking. TRs are the best thing about this site (other than actually being on the trips).
  18. Oh, but now that you'll be posting your own pics again the people will return!
  19. Threads don't croak! It's just a lack of updates. I wish Casey would finish his TR, for example.
  20. Launch Time! 3...2...1...(15 seconds of beeping)... Yeah, it would basically be like if a coaster here was named "Do Re Mi". The name Eejanaika (Ain't It Great) didn't make sense at first, then I found out that was the name of a 19th century Japanese cultural festival.
  21. Make sure S:ROS is open or don't go.
  22. Drachen Fire? X? Anyway, if you haven't seen it already, Robb did shoot ride thru of both tracks, so check it out if you haven't already.
  23. I understood it. I wonder if there was ever a 6 eyed dragon in the initial plans.
