Can you smell add on? Just like on the Spain trip, people were not about to pass on Liseberg and Balder. This looks better than Balder. I just hope R&E will admit it if it is! -

I was gonna tell you and add the disclaimer "before Wes locks this." Elissa beat me, but I'll add that X is on the left. -
Basically, as a showcase of 80's era special effects, it is dated. However, since it was all done "for real" I don't know how much better it could be made today. Since the theme is staying the same, I guess it will have a worthy successor. Probably just a matter of time before USH puts it on the chopping block, along with King Kong. The Studio Tour is a shell of its former self. Edit: Oh, and if it's reopening next month, it seems like it will be more of an overlay than a totally new attraction.

^ X + X2 = 3 credits. But honestly, if the track is unchanged, not even JJ would count it as a new credit. He does, however, count Tatsu as 2 credits since there are 2 loading stations. Kidding! -

This was the one I've been waiting for...thanks, Chuck! I'm sure Robb's will have a much angrier slant. (Boy, he looks PO'd in that group pic!) I prefer to think of Fuji-Q's slow operations as "full service." Where else do you get clapping? Also, I am a fan of industrial/factory sounds, and Dodonpa has some of that in the launch tunnel. Oh, and that girl in front of Bill on Fujiyama is VERY HOT, so thanks again! -

Why limit it to just a tunnel? Enclose the whole thing, a la Disaster Transport! Better yet, install a few skylights, to let the sunshine in! -

I really like the Eejanaika colors and the black trains. I wonder if they will be 20 or 28 person capacity. I rode X on Tuesday, and was pretty much swearing like Robb on the Eejanaika video. So, like Elissa, I'm concerned new trains won't make much of a difference. -

Whoops! What I meant to say was that DL's Burning Cabin once used POTC's fake fire effect, but since it looked fake the real fire was returned. Sorry if what I meant came across... Thanks for this great PTR, Chuck...is our favorite place next? -

At one time the indoor PoTC's fire effect was used on TDL's Burning Cabin, so it may be in place today. -
Only a few folks on here I think have both credits, so if you had to compare the two, which is the superior product? Dodonpa, being version 2.0, has a longer track, fastest launch, and a hill with more extreme airtime. However, on the flip side, Dodonpa's launch has been described as too intense, the curse a little rough, and the airtime on the hill a little too extreme. Those may be the very things some enthusiasts seek. If you've had both credits, do tell! I also feel that the "do-don-pa" soundtrack while waiting in the queue for Dodonpa adds some excitement and anticipation. It's also twice as long in track. Both rides has horrendous capacity, but once you're in your seat, let's take it from there... Which is better? Robb would be a good judge of it, not no mention folks like cfc. Any though you may have, let's hear it! -chris

Possible amusement park for Ottawa
RIP Psyclone replied to canadianfreak's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
A park like Tivoli Gardens might work. I've been there. As I recall, admission is cheap and rides are extra. That works because in addition to attractions, it's also a very nice park in general. So, if it attracts those who just want to take a stroll, feed some birds, and maybe spend a few bucks here and there it could work out. Canada does need something for the millions who live between Toronto and Montreal, right? -
