  1. Actually, I think Rockin' is coming back. I hope it does, because I missed it this year. This isn't the first I've heard about it.
  2. I wonder if the new Flying Saucers, er, Hubcaps, will have the sweeping boom load/unload feature. Gav made this for Flying Saucers thread from a few months ago: Also, the old Flying Saucers had 2 air decks to improve capacity, so I hope this new attraction will as well.
  3. ^It's a good point, but every time I ride ToT there are families with young children on it too. I don't work there, but how many families don't do ToT, CS, or maybe even Soarin? Is there ever a situation where a cast member tries to convince a family with young kids that a ride isn't really that bad? I'd like that job!
  4. ^^^^Yeah, I was aware that most parks are seasonal. However, if that makes DCA's attendance figures somehow inflated, that would be true for all other Disney parks. You are right in that most people who visit the Magic Kingdom also visit one or more of WDW's other parks.
  5. DCA could use improvement, and a few more attractions. I welcome those changes. However, I don't agree that DCA is a failure. It was the 7th most attended amusement park in North America last year. Six Flags or Cedar Fair would kill for those numbers. The closest thing to a failed park Disney has right now would be Walt Disney Studios in Paris.
  6. Good stuff, but where will Gary Sinise fit in to all of this?
  7. Always trying to improve my score... The sight was a little off, I swear!
  8. Cruelty to pumpkins!
  9. I feel fortunate to have been on 20,000 Leagues at the Magic Kingdom. I always liked both Submarine Voyages, and I can't help but feel a little disappointed by Finding Nemo. X Atencio said that Paul Frees would spend the first 30 minutes of a recording session saying how great he is.
  10. And the winner is... The Giant Drop, Dreamworld, Coomera, Queensland Australia. (Unless someone strongly disagrees!)
  11. Boy, Bill, that's quite a collection. I'm very jealous! Anyway, this is just a short "taste" of the ride-thru: Someone loaded the whole video once, but I'm guessing Steve Wesson had it removed. I bought the DVD, and also the documentary from extinctattractionsclub.com
  12. Aw man, that is so cool. Thanks, Bill. Have you seen the CG virtual ride-thru by Steve Wesson? It's incredible.
  13. Magnification! And still I continue to shrink! The snowflake is melting...melting! This is Monsanto. Thanks Bill, any mention of Adventure Thru Inner Space excites me.
  14. Doesn't it seem the "do-don-pa" chant (or whatever) is intended to psych you out a little? The tempo seems to increase as you get further into the queue, and especially after boarding.
  15. Also, it seems many notable Japanese rollercoasters are not Japanese creations. However, the weirdness in theming makes it seem they are.
  16. That's not necessarily a bad thing. Although it might not quite be the holy grail that Space Mountain with the lights on is, you could probably easily see a lot of the theming.
  17. The greater New Orleans area has less people now than before Katrina, and SFNO is having its rides relocated. I don't think the area can support an amusement park yet.
  18. It's a ride I've never been on, but this appears that you really do have to duck: If you were on the Spain trip, or just have been to Zaragosa, how bad is it?
  19. That is very nice. A very good pic. I just wish they lit up the 2nd hill like the 1st.
  20. The whole Jeff Johnson thing was caused solely by him counting Wacky Soap Box Racers as 8 credits, right? Nothing else he does is out of the ordinary.
  21. I'm glad you brought that up, Robb. Before it was Meteor, the wood was painted white. Now, it's unpainted and the wood looks new. I guess that's why.
