  1. ^Some, but not all of those credits can be found on CoasterFanatics.com, which a lot of people on here use.
  2. Even though Cedar Fair's CEO said Disaster Transport was one of the worst decisions he's made, it is at worst a truly one of a kind ride, and the favorite of many people.
  3. The site was down for about 6 hours, judging from the time gap of the posts. You could have watched the Indiana Jones trilogy.
  4. Just compare those station pics to this: It seems there is no POV of DF 1.1
  5. An old one... In a room at Excalibur in Las Vegas sometime around late March/early April 2003.
  6. Do they serve the burger directly on the tray with no wrapping?
  7. Alpha, Omega, or both? As for me: California Screamin' @ DCA (9/11/07) Last new credit: Mulholland Madness @ DCA (9/11/07)
  8. Yeah, it would probably be my fave too. I don't understand why SFMM's Ninja, built 4 years later, couldn't have a drop like that.
  9. During Dodonpa's launch, does it go: "Launch Time...3...2...1...GO!" or "Launch Time...3...2...1...Dodonpa!"?
  10. If I remember correctly, the "monument" was built around 1991 after the opening of Psyclone. Psyclone was, at the time, the 6th coaster, not counting the kiddie one. Mountain Express, Sarajevo Bobsleds and Shockwave were gone. After the opening of Flashback, and maybe Batman, they expanded the monument, starting to the left of the original 6, causing it to be non-chronological. 1991-1992 was the time I visited the park the most often, as I had a pass in '92.
  11. The Vekoma bus had McD's in South Park, but Arrow had White Castle AND South Park, haha! That has to be the best couple of captions in any Midwest TR to date! I bet despite the pleading from almost 50 people to go to White Castle, Elissa insisted on McDonalds!
  12. I think Derek said it best, Great America in CA is a park with a lot of potential, just go to SFGAm to see. I personally liked (P)GA when I was 15. I thought Top Gun was great (it still is), Vortex was still smooth, and I wasn't a good enough judge to know that Grizzly sucks. I think I remember Demon valleying, though. I'd like to go back there, even if to just get my Invertigo credit and ride the flyers.
  13. "...Easily the best wooden coaster in the U.S." said Robb. Let's see, what else. SFGAdv also has Kingda Ka, which at worst matches Top Thrill Dragster, and a few SF parks also have Superman: Ride Of Steel, which some say is better than Millennium Force. But maybe the whole is greater than the sum of its parts, which could be why Cedar Fair is consistently voted the #1 park in the world.
  14. If you throw another chain into this mix, Busch seems to do better albeit on a much smaller scale. This is a little unrelated, but Rastus once brought up a good point. People gush praise for parks like Holiday World, but if those coasters were at a park like SFMM or CP they would be "middle of the road." Criticism of Six Flags and Cedar Fair seems to be due to the fact they are held to a higher standard.
  15. SFMM has been improving as of late, it's not as dirty as it was not too long ago. Some saw the closing of Psyclone as a step in the right direction as well. That's only true if a better coaster soon occupies that spot, and there are no plans as of yet that we know of. Psyclone was probably salvagable, but that may have been cost prohibitive. I just hope GhostRider at Knott's is a little better when it reopens...anyone know anything on that subject?
  16. Nice, Chuck. I too thought "this fair doesn't look too ghetto" but when I saw that the roller racer game was using golf balls I thought "yup, that's ghetto!"
  17. Ah, thanks so much for that review. While I do like X, it's a shame that "X 2.0" is not much different, or improved, depending on your point of view. I guess the only thing missing is that song from the blood rave scene in Blade playing in the queue. At least it's not the "do-don-pa" musical notes playing over and over.
  18. Both Cedar Fair and Six Flags have been much maligned by numerous people, for perhaps different reasons, so how do you think they compare? In my experience, a park such as Knott's Berry Farm has both benefitted and suffered from Cedar Fair ownership. And yes, opinions are like...so if we can stick to the facts, I suppose that would be better. Although I do admit this is rather speculative.
  19. It's probably just due to the fact the drop definately does not appear to be 85 degrees at its steepest point in the official artwork.
  20. Pointless thread, but 13: Disneyland Resort - The Matterhorn | Space Mountain | Big Thunder Mountain | Splash Mountain | Grizzly Peak Walt Disney World Resort - Space Mountain | Big Thunder Mountain | Mount Mayday | Splash Mountain | Mount Gushmore | Forbidden Mountain Tokyo Disney Resort - Space Mountain | Big Thunder Mountain | Splash Mountain | Mount Prometheus Disneyland Resort Paris - Big Thunder Mountain | Space Mountain Hong Kong Disneyland Resort - Space Mountain
  21. In proper Spanish, Furius Baco would be called Baco Furioso. In English, Furious Bacchus.
  22. Whoa, what fell on the track? I wonder how catastrophic it would have been had it not been noticed.
  23. Finally we get to see Mrs. "same 10 people"!
  24. Forget Constance, it's all about Bryan! But yeah, that face looks different from DL's. Sorta like a drag queen.
