YES, this makes twice that I've been able to use the "near-death experience" story to show my talent with the search button. Was asked here: http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=19698 ...and this is where Elissa originally explained it. http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=22382#22382

I am having the world's most infuriating text message conversation. I'm resisting the urge to swear profusely in this post.

Oops, yeah sorry, should totally have pointed out in my previous post that I'm enjoying the TR so far. Wes's captions always crack me up, and he really DOES have a hot girlfriend!! Glad you guys are having fun!

Just wanted to randomly throw out there that I hate Jow more than anybody else. I hope he's looking forward to Spain, where he will die in an ironic stationery-related acccident.

Does this look like the face of a gentle man?! I've decided I hate everybody who gets to go to Florida this year. Or California, for that matter. I hate everybody. OMG, am I emo?!

^ Awwwww!!!

I'm staying out of this one seeing as I'm British, and my superior linguistic skills obviously make my opinion a little different, but I have to say that THIS: ...is totally awesome. I like it.
-
^ Nice try, but I have that copyrighted.
-
^ I sent Cameron an email before saying I wanted to participate in this thread but everything I could think of was either really depressing or R-rated!! Go on Jow, you start...

Can "Tic Tac Toe" not be replaced with "Noughts and Crosses" for the British contingent?!?! Thanks.

Liseberg Discussion Thread

LOL, I can't wait until Nicole sees this thread... I believe she described this flume as the second scariest flume on the UK trip... Although that had nothing to do with the ride itself I don't think. -
^ Something tells me said presentation would be a riot. Oh, and Guy, you only get the 30% raise if you TATTOO my name across your arse, none of this taping it on a Speedo nonsense!
-
^ LOL! No offense or anything, but I don't talk about 14 year old's asses! That was directed at Cameron above you..
-
^ Nope, it's US only, unfortunately. Thanks for the thought though Ted!
-
^^ I'm kinda surprised you didn't put "I have a fantastic ass!" as your number five!

Jealous. I too have been checking out the Lost forums but to be honest I'm just getting more confused, I need to see this!!!

Jeez, I'm back for one day and I'm getting blamed for everything already! It's not my fault if I cause these kinds of conversations, it isn't deliberate, and I tried to get the thread back on track! ^ That post scares the poo out of me. Oh, and: YAY!!! I can't wait until we can get to the obsessive level of detail that we did in the run-up to the UK trip. Spain seems so far away right now but it's gonna arrive REAL fast, and the trip board is the start of that. Thanks Elissa! -
Y'know, you guys are suggesting all these great appropriate names, then one day, if and when the Alveys decide to breed, their kids are gonna be called Fred and Sue or something totally normal. Although Tatsu-rella does have a nice ring to it.

This whole thread has seemed like deja vu to me. Most likely because people keep asking the same questions over and over again. I don't remember us discussing me growing a penis before (have we exceeded the "penis"es per page yet?!)... But yeah, I've always wanted you to call me! I'm looking forward to the uber-not-so-super-secret boards being opened, will be great to find out who's signed up for what. -

LOL!! My boobies are only little, not so much taping. But thanks for the faith in me to grow a penis, if I keep trying real hard, maybe one day... Kyle, if I manage to sprout one, I'll call you. And yeah, back on topic, umm.... My penis, I mean breasts, and I, are looking forward to Spain. Yeah. EDIT: Oh yeah, and Elissa's penis is HUGE. VERY impressive. The way she internally retracts it whilst wearing a bikini is incredible! Gifted. -

^^ The vast majority of them are male only Kyle, but there ARE female versions now, although I gather they're few and far between. Thanks for the "grow a penis" suggestion though, I only wish I could! ^ Beeyotch. -

Yay, Bob's on my side! Elissa, the duffel bag idea sounds great! I love how you guys are so willing to compromise and find ways of making these trips once-in-a-lifetime, even sacrificing an item of your own luggage for me to spend the night in. I love you guys. As for the luggage, like I say, I know it's a bit premature, but thanks for the tips Julie (and Dave!)! I've always carried around mid-sized backpacks but have never really bothered with a real travellers' one, simply because I've never had to carry luggage far before! *shrug* But as Robb says, if he and Elissa can do it carry-on only, this really shouldn't be a problem. Thanks guys! -
Theme Park Review's 2007 Group Trips!

That's great, thanks. I wasn't sure just how separate the groups would be, but if we're literally going to be in the same train cars that kinda clarifies that one! I totally get that having the smaller groups makes life easier as far as headcounts and the like go, and I actually kinda like the idea of one group being able to leave early if they're all done and so on. This: Has answered my other concern, thanks for that. As much as you say I'm self-sufficient, when it comes to organising myself to get to places, especially in foreign countries, I'm not so great, with or without a "captain"! Hell, I even missed like two trains to try and meet Robb before we went to Blackpool in March or whenever! Useless. So, no Hong Kong. Totally sucks that you aren't willing to give up your jobs and stuff just to do that as an add-on. I'll wait for China then! Packing light isn't too much of a problem for me, I could certainly manage with less than I had on the UK trip, but carrying baggage is, I have zero upper body strength. I'll be getting to the gym at some point before next year...!! Worst comes to the worst I'll make a Primark trip shortly beforehand and throw stuff away as I go along. And why the hell would sleeping in a coffin-like 6' by 3' box freak you out?! Looks like fun!! You even have a little control panel with heating and stuff... Awww. Thanks Elissa! -

Couple of questions... (I have about a dozen relating to Japan but most of them are details that will be sorted out at a later date.) I'm just wondering a little bit about the practicalities, and basically whether I'll enjoy the Adventure Tour style as much. I know you guys are all about everybody having fun and that the people and places and everything will be awesome, (believe me, after the UK trip I don't think anybody could doubt that your trips will ever be anything less than perfect, you guys rock) but: you stated there'll be little kinda sub-groups? I'm guessing maybe you, Robb and Dan(?) lead a group of 10 each, approximately? Sorry to ask annoying questions, I guess I'm just curious about the logistics of this, how much the participants are going to see each other. Obviously we'll be in the same hotels and stuff, but is this going to be a much more independent trip, with less group events as a rule? If there's little ERT and few group meals, I'm thinking the dynamic is going to be somewhat different to the UK trip? I've been wondering about this for a few days, whether I'll enjoy myself *quite* as much. I think after the UK trip many of us are spoiled, Japan won't be half as easy as all lounging around on a bus being chauffeured around. Somewhere miles back in the thread there was a blink-and-you'll-miss-it reference to a HKDL add-on... But in the chat transcript you stated no add-ons for Japan... I know from the UK trip arrangements that any add-ons for the trips will most likely be much closer to the trip and I shouldn't really ask this at this moment in time, but I guess I'm wanting to know whether it's a definite *"NO"*, or a "most likely not". If there's mention of two Disney resorts in one trip I may drop out of Spain and put all my funds into Asia. As far as packing light goes, I know all that will be dealt with in several months time. But would my interpretation of what's been said earlier be correct: That we would only be staying in 4 or 5 hotels for the duration of the trip, as opposed to a different one every one or two nights? Meaning the bigger bags would be left at the hotel while we take backpacks to the parks, which are usually an hour or two away from where we're staying? Finally, any chance of us staying in a capsule hotel?! Always fancied that. Sorry I missed the chat nights, know I could've asked all of this there instead of adding to this thread of doom now.
