Sounds like my mom. I know this wasn't your intention but it cracked me up!! And Colin no, we never sat on the dog!! But after she (the dog) died my mum used to sit on the bed stroking that cushion... Odd. Now it just sits on the couch and scares me. ^ That actually depends on the method of hanging, whether he's strung up or whether he's pushed off/the floor drops from beneath him. The former would cause asphyxiation to occur, the latter would break his neck. I'm honestly not sure which method is the preferred in Iraq.

For once, I actually agree with part of one of Jow's posts relating to current world affairs! I don't support the war. But in my opinion, the guy NEEDS to die. Anybody who's followed the trial knows what an absolute farce it's been in some respects. Saddam has had a franky terrifying influence for far too long, and this needs to be done. I agree with Ed in that lethal injection is generally a less upsetting idea, but to be honest if there was one person I'd like to see hanged, it'd be Hussein. And at the end of the day, his sentence comes from the Iraqi justice system I believe, and in their culture hanging is the method of choice. Fair enough I say.

As a general rule, I agree with that statement. But in Saddam's case... Even when he's long-dead, the saga will continue. But it will TO AN EXTENT becom easier once he's dead. The situation is so complex and the guy still has so much power in certain areas... He needs to die. It's the only way that country can even begin to build itself back up and find some peace.

I had totally mixed feelings about Bruce Almighty, I actually kinda liked parts of it, but I thought the premise was really cool and they could have made it REALLY good, but failed to do so. I do love Jim Carrey though, and I have a real thing against movie sequels with totally different casts. Films like Cruel Intentions 2/American Pie 4, stuff like that... It never works. Steve Carell might be great but... I can't see this being a huge success. I might rent it when it gets to DVD though, give it a chance.

I like the design! I've never been keen on the idea of getting a brand logo tattooed, but if it's something like that which is a cool design independently and isn't something that it's immediately obvious what brand it belongs to, it's awesome, nice one Derek! I actually thought of you yesterday when I went past one of my favourite bars which has a couple dozen guest ales on the go and "HOPDEVIL!!!" is written on the board in huge letters outside. Took me a minute to remember where I knew the brand from!
