Out of interest, the fact that you say "very rare" rather than "it never happens" kinda implies that there have been odd occasions when this has happened... Have you ever just got to a park and though "WOW, this park totally needs such-and-such-a-song using for the footage!"? Kinda like Ted's choice of "Hellhole" for the Coney Beach video, which I imagine was the song that first popped into his head on arrival...

Jarvis, I salute you. An almost Wes-worthy post. I was trying to think of some British version, but I can't. Admittedly I'm not of the right racial descent to decide whether Pedroland is really offensive or not, but as others have said, if he's the mascot or the owner, who the hell cares! ^ Wow Rich, way to read the whole thread! Somebody said earlier (and I believe they're correct) that Warner Bros have the rights to the movies with the author's approval, but that she still owns the character rights themselves, so it would have to come from her downwards in order to make a park. Presumably if they did do such a thing it would be the likenesses of the actors from the films that are used, so Warner Bros would certainly be a part of it, but I'm pretty sure JK Rowling is the controlling factor in pretty much ANYTHING Potter-related.

I don't think this'll ever happen, but my two cents on the idea itself... It's kinda good in theory, and maybe it'd work in a Camp Snoopy kind of way, but I'm not sure there are really enough characters and themes to warrant making a real park from it. Places like Disney and even Parc Asterix have generations of characters, movies, stories, whatever to draw from and are pretty much unlimited, something like the Potter books... Maybe they could make it work for a land somewhere, kinda like Seussland at IOA, that I might like to see.

Current rant: My cough/cold/chest infection is getting better, but it's one of those situations where it gets worse as it's healing, if that makes sense...
