  1. HAHAHAHAHAHA! Are you serious?!?! You're joking! You gotta be joking! Negator Skeletor! Ok, sunshine, I'll bite. How did you arrive at this obviously well thought out, sensative, enlightening, yet totally untrue and publicly damaging conclusion, without even getting to know me? That's disgusting! I'm no kid chaser! Now, thanks to your gem of a comment, anyone who reads this thread will immediately think the very worst. Thanks a heap! EDIT: You know, I came to this forum because it looked like fun. I saw people who had a similar sense of off-beat humor, who loved parks and coasters as much as I do. Yeah, it was sarcastic humor, but it was good natured. Yes, a lot of that stems from these people knowing each other a long time. Granted, it takes a while to earn your stripes with any group, and you will get flack occasionally, but in the end, it's all in fun. Being branded a pedophile in front of thousands of people while trying to respectfully join in on that fun isn't what I had in mind. Despite my best efforts, I just haven't gotten along well with some folks since I've been here. Better to move on and preserve the greater harmony. Thank you to those for their kindness.
  2. LOL! You just described my first ever experience on any rapids ride! Thunder River at Six Flags St. Louis. Hilarious!
  3. Ok, first, love the screen name and avatar (sp?)! Next, great minimalist witty captions! You're a man after my own heart.
  4. (standing, smiling, and applauding) That boy good! That boy good!
  5. I dig the TR! Didn't get the whole sandals thing at first, but it was random funny. Ooooo! and Smokey Mountian River Rampage pics too! Many thanks!
  6. ^Hey thanks for the tip. Out of kid kindness, I'd still bribe Sammi because somebody did something similar for me once. That's only if the mom says it's ok.
  7. Big Mike, good poise, and humor in a situation that was slightly not in your favor. The MC going between German and English was a hoot. I ended up being part of the Dollywood train ride skit during a high school trip. Oy! Doncha love getting picked out of a crowd for comic relief?
  8. Maybe, maybe not. His Dad was a member of the local punk scene and a skater, and his Mom is a fireball. Humerously, when we first saw the kid today, my coworker said to his wife"Hey, is he flipping you the bird again?" 1 day on the planet, and the kid is showing his roots.
  9. Sounds like Elissa just spawned the first "Rent-a-Kid" system with Sammi. Got quite a chuckle out of that one! Next time anyone's at IOA, she'll clean up on Pteranodon (sp?) Flyers because of the height reqs. Say, can I put in an early reservation for that? Will be there in the next couple years.
  10. Ya know, Meteor and the kiddie death coaster look doable. Enjoyed the PoV and pics. Robb and Casey must know the secret to bending the space/time continuum. Wow! Oh yeah, a coworker's wife had a baby boy over the weekend and guess what they named him? Griffon! How cool is that? Ok, back on the focus of this thread. Very very cool and looking forward to more pics and vids of clenching, squishing, pounding etc... // Mod Edit: In the future do not post back to back. Just simply edit your previous post. Thank you. Whoops! Was not aware of that option. Will do from now on.
  11. Good report. Got a good laugh out of the dead-pan tag line "I was there...with a camera."
  12. Last time I did a fun house, I got tossed about like laundry in a spin dryer during the "tunnel of doom" part. Good laugh, but ow that hurt. Been enjoying the fair TRs and the other unique TRs as well lately. Love the big parks, but fun to see this stuff too. Thank you.
  13. What a great idea! Had always wondered what that place looked like. As for the blurry pics, no worries! As good as the food looked, I'd have shaky happy hands too. Love good food!
  14. This was a great trip report and well worth doing. Several of us, I'm sure, really enjoyed it. Thanks again.
  15. Busch Gardens Europe Best - Roman Rapids Worst - The pass and fingerprint scanner to get into the park. And you thought it would be Opryland by default. Ha!
  16. Well, Disney Hollywood Studios' new ride will definately get people talking. You know, "Honey I Shrunk the Studio Tour." Then there's "Honey I Blew Up the Back Lot" slated to go in shortly there after.
  17. Hmmm, I just need to try both and give 'em a fair shake. OMG! Purely accidental pun in previous statement! Ack! As Arty Johnson would say, "Veeeeeely interlesting." As my high school drama teacher would say "Tanks!"
  18. Ah. Thank you. Couldn't remember which park. Yeah, I'm just a little bummed because I liked seeing the sets and props, even if they weren't in the best of shape. The only thing that worries me is if there's a natural progression from getting rid of more gentle rides (tin lizzies, studio tours, etc.) to getting rid of things like the rapids rides, particularly the older ones with no drops. Dunno how true the Hershey Park rumor is, but hope that isn't the case. They may need to update the movies in there, but (sniff) I'll miss getting drooled on by the alien in the ceiling. Good times, good times.
  19. Dude! Followed some of the other links tonight, and what great pics! Again, very cool topic! Would love to hear and see more as it's restored.
  20. Looks like it should come with a spreader bar and handcuffs. The ride op isn't Dita Von Tease is it?
  21. Ok, serious question. How did you like SFMM overall? I've never been, but it looks like it's just jammed packed full of good stuff from the Google Earth (God I love that program!) view. Yes, I read the TR, but was curious about any additional thoughts not posted.
  22. ^I read somewhere (RCDB maybe) that what's going in at Hard Rock is an import from another park, but same basic model. As for Hershey taking out its rapids ride...(clutching chest) NNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! In the name of all that does not suck, NOOOOOOOO!
  23. Hmm...disturbing new trend here. Take out back lot tours/movie/tv history in favor of expansion. Read that Universal demoed the Golden Girls set and some other stuff to put in a stunt show. Granted, a park's gotta change, but this makes me feel funny. And not the funny like climbing the rope in gym class either.
  24. West Coast Trippers? Whaaaa? Meant Mid West Trippers....You people on the trip there... eh, you get the idea.
