  1. ^I can't say I've ever had that problem. Today really was packed. This was actually the first time I willingly waited in the second que house for Bull, and I was a tad miserable (big crowds make me uncomfortable). Dark Knight had a 30 minute wait, and the person at the front told us it'd be 90 minutes, so that was a pleasant surprise. For the most part however, it was a day full of flats, which also had fairly long lines. I'm going Thursday as well, and I'm assuming it's gonna be like today, so I'll probably be making a trip to Gurnee Mills or Woodfield...
  2. I will be too! I'll be wearing a Blue Iowa State t-shirt with tan shorts. Feel free to say hi, being that I've never actually seen/met anyone from TPR at the park, other than an op at Superman once...
  3. I have several movies that I absolutely love, and I'm a HUGE Kubrick Fan, so his movies make up most of my faves, but my number one is definitely 2001: A Space Odyssey. That movie looks great even with today's standards (in my opinion). I think that Kubrick did an amazing job with special effects, and did a wonderful job considering the time period in which it was made. Other favorites include: The Shining A Clockwork Orange There Will Be Blood Eyes Wide Shut Kill Bill Vol. 1 & 2 Casino And for comedies: Bruno
  4. My family vacations at the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri every year, and yesterday I thought I'd up the one credit they have down here: a Zamperla Powered Coaster called Runaway Mine Train. Needless to say, the only people riding it were under the age of 4 and an occasional parent. Despite the odd looks I got from bystanders and ride ops alike, I braved front row on this beast, and I must say that I really enjoyed it.
  5. I think that this is a good balance; no point on having it on during the day if it's busy, but if it's not at night, why let it go to waste?
  6. I'll have to agree with that. I can't believe how close the voting is, especially when RB is facing X2.
  7. Dueling Dragons is my favorite. Although I've only been on fire, I LOVE it. Batman at SFGAm would be in second though...
  8. Although I've never rode BBW, it's disappointing to see it go. I sort of like Arrow's suspended coasters, and I haven't had the chance to make it out there to get on it. Hopefully something good will go in its place some day.
  9. ^I was thinking the same thing! Nice TR nonetheless.
  10. I'm Cold and There are Wolves After Me- Iwrestledabearonce
  11. I absolutely love Skycoasters. That initial drop is unparalleled on any other ride (in my opinion). I will say that there is a fright factor, for me anyways, thinking it's just one wire and some material holding me in, but they are great. I don't know if I'd pay full price for one, as I always use my season pass at SFGAm to get it discounted, but it's definitely worth trying at least once.
  12. I really can't say that I have a favorite, although as far as OTSR's go, I really don't mind Intamin's at all. My least favorite are probably the OTSR's on King Chaos at SFGAm. I've never been on any other Huss model like that, so I can't speak for all of them, but I feel like my shoulders are being crushed and they're very uncomfortable...
  13. The only way I have been scared to ride one is fear that it will collapse. At Magic Waters in Rockford, IL last year, there were several slides that had duct tape all over. Perhaps this was all that was needed for whatever reason they needed it for, but it sort of gets you thinking...
  14. That video of the family up front was pretty neat. He seemed like a nice guy, it's too bad an accident like this happened. I just showed my mom the video of the crash and she was shocked that this would happen at Disney World of all places.
  15. Nice TR! You certainly seemed like you enjoyed your trip! The nighttime pictures were pretty neat, and the whole "Sears Tower" thing made me laugh.
  16. I NEVER get anything from Six Flags. I've never received that e-mail that season pass holders get and I never get this e-mail either...
  17. I'm gonna have to go with American Eagle all the way. That was the first coaster I ever rode, and I still remember the feeling of how long the drop was. Although I'm obviously used to it at this point, it still gets me every time and makes me think of my first time.
  18. Nice photos! I was at Nick Universe a few weeks ago, and I passed by Valleyfair but didn't have a chance to stop. It seems like such a nice park...
  19. Nice TR! It seems like such a clean park (mind you I've never visited it before), and it seems like a much better choice than La Ronde.
