  1. Congrats on winning the contest, that's a great name. Silverwood looks like a great park.
  2. Accelerometer. That's just one of many glaring errors in that article, but overall it's pretty good.
  3. Screamin' Demon (Arrow Shuttle) at Kings Island in 1977, when I was ten. It was also my first coaster, period. 2nd was Racer.
  4. Nice TR IB is one of my top five wanna-visit parks.
  5. That would, indeed, be a great idea. The Beast reborn.
  6. The park that time forgot - I guess that's what happens when you're owned by a movie studio that has no clue and when planning a ride thinks about the lame movie tie-in possiblities over and above anything else. They need this ride badly.
  7. They could use Anaconda, I guess. Guess we'll know in 14 days, 6 hours and 15 minutes.
  8. Wood: Georgia Cyclone, in back seat. Beats the crap out of you. Steel: Flashback SFMM - gone but not missed.
  9. LAF is the Lance Armstrong Foundation, who's motto is "Live Strong". But these comments show up on all KI web pages, so I doubt they mean anything at all. They're just part of the site template.
  10. Livestrong Lance Armstrong Foundation - was wondering about that too.
  11. Arrow Shuttle Loops, going backwards over the drop. I used to dread that part on KI's Demon. I'll concur with Intamin first gen freefalls, too. I think it's the claustrophobia of being enclosed in the car that makes them seem scarier than other newer freefall rides.
  12. ^ Not much difference, but I'd say a "roller coaster" should have some amount of uphill travel & variation in speed along the run. My personal feelings only, I don't care what other people call it, and I'd ride it anyway.
  13. Looks like an alpine slide on rails. I believe this would be considered a gravity powered railroad, though, not a roller coaster.
  14. Well if you're gonna call yourself B&MTeen93 you should be able to go on any B&M ride. Have fun!
  15. Great Adventure + Hershey is a great idea. Hard to top that for a one-two punch.
  16. I'm a slacker. I've only visited Great Escape and Cedar Point this season. We'll be going to La Ronde for the first time in August though, and I'm sure we'll hit SFNE at least once this summer.
  17. Boulder Dash, about 15 times in a row, some in the rain, most without getting off except to change seats. GE Comet, 20+ times in a row, most without getting off.
  18. Nobody's under any illusion that GE can compete with Great Adventure. (In fact, it won't ever compete with SFNE or La Ronde, both of which are closer to it than Great Adventure). It'd just be nice to see them make some steady improvements to keep it interesting. A drop tower and/or an SLC with new trains would be a great start.
  19. Well, Fairly Odd Coaster was the "Beastie" pre-Paramount (and post-Scooby Doo). They've already been down that road with SOB. I'd rather see something else.
  20. Cool to see those old trains again.
  21. I'm not a big fan of 4 across seating. These look nice though.
  22. Nice TR, cool to see the Simpsons stuff. RIP, BTTF. Agreed that there just isn't that much to do in the park, but it's fun to visit every decade or so.
  23. ^^Somehow I don't think it's up to Cedar Fair to save the human race by planting trees in their park. The park does need more trees, like it used to have, but on the other hand it has the most impressive coaster skyline going, which is also quite pretty.
