Nice photos, Richard! I love Singapore, except the stifling humidity, that is. Singapore actually has 4 'Official languages' and nearly all signage has all 4: English, Malay, Tamil and Mandarin Sentosa does have some small areas of landfill associated with it, but most of it was natural. Did you check out the old British fort at the western end of the island? There's a lot of history on that little island, mostly due to it's importance as a convergence of shipping lanes. Did you get to check out Escape Theme Park?

Tigger hits kid at Disney World

^Do you understand how to use punctuation? If I understand what you wrote, then yes, I can see what you mean. It doesn't explain the arm-lock maneuver, but it could explain where Tigger's hand ended up. -
This is the series that I misinterpereted as you thinking that they had included 6FMM in the sale, particularly: "While losing your highest grossing paks in 07." I understand your analogy, and I accept that 6F has an unimaginably unwieldly debt load. The number I had heard was 1.8 billion, but dollars to donuts, 2.1 or 1.8 billion it doesn't matter which one it is. Either way it is too large for the company to manage, and it seems that this is what is bringing the company down. Are we still cool, Guy?

A trip to Elitch Gardens suddenly rocketed to the top of my things to do list. That property has always been FAR more valuable as just about anything but an amusement park. Lakeside, once they get word of this will be awfully happy to hear about this! How long until Elitch is the new Astroworld? Anybody want to start a pool?

^ Yeah but MJ has known properties to reduce the vomit reflex. -
"We're pleased with the sale price for this portfolio of parks, particularly since we were able to retain the Magic Mountain parks," said Mark Shapiro, Six Flags President and CEO. "This transaction confirms the value inherent in our major market branded parks." Why was 6FMM up for sale if he was so interested in retaining it? I hope they use the money to REDUCE THE MASSIVE DEBT LOAD! Just an idea.

No, thanks, I am my own monkey! Do I know you?

??? Yes, it does need to get up to near 70mph again, but remember that launch section is pretty high up in the air. Gravity plays a big role in getting the trains back up to speed. This ride is similar to the Mr. Freeze and Speed coasters in that respect: The second boost isn't all that much, rather it's just enough to ensure that the ride doesn't valley. The amount of speed increase is primarily to offset the speed lost to friction and wind resistance. That 70 MPH is going to be reached near the bottom between the twist and either the top hat or the cobra roll.

Yes, the movie Office Space is better than being slapped with nearly any type of fish! Are you sitting down?

That's got to be one of the coolest, weirdest coaster related stories that I've heard all year. Or last year. -
Tigger hits kid at Disney World

The full length home video is really interesting. The dad films Tigger with the youngest two kids for a couple seconds, then points the camera at the ground and in the wrong direction for a long time. During this period he didn't stop recording, so you can hear a lot of talking. At one point, the dad starts apologizing for something. It is unclear what he's apologizing for, but during the interview he claims that it was because he was trying to get someone from the park to film him with his family and Tigger. From the camera movement, it doesn't seem like he gave the camera to anyone, or that he moved towards Tigger. I wonder if the boy who got 'Tigger-slapped' did something provoking at that point and the dad apologized for his son. Also interesting, is that the first thing Tigger actually does to the boy is to lock his arm in place to keep it from moving. I wonder if the kid had found the zipper and was starting to pull? The 'Tigger-slap' looks more like he was trying to twist away without the kid being able to move the arm that was behind tigger, and he accidentally grazed the boy's face. The #1 question is: WHERE THE HE** WAS TIGGER'S HANDLER? I've never seen a costume character at Disney without at least one, and usually more than one is present. If the handler left Tigger for whatever reason, that's the person who needs to lose their job! -

I'll be the first to admit I don't have a real solid grasp of how a woodie is built, but are they already starting to install track before they put in the walk boards? -
