  1. Interesting to say the least. Most parks wouldn't tout a new shopping area as an attraction per se. Although any park with dragon shaped flume boats can do anything they want. The shooting dark ride sounds cool, who's making it? Horsies!
  2. ^Aww, Man! DragonKhan ranks Millenium Force #1? Now I'm going to have to change my ballot.
  3. Ooh, ooh! I can see the Stargates! Honestly what is up with that? Is Katun actually themed to that cheesy movie?
  4. Luneur is the closest to Rome, but for some reason I never made it there during the two years I lived in Italy. Gardaland is about 2.5 hours (by car) from Rome and is a pretty nice park that does get quite crowded in the summer and on weekends. This park is right on Lago di Garda and is north of Bologna and east of Milano. This park is somewhat accessible by public transportation. Mirabilandia is about the same distance from Rome, but on the east side, just south of Venezia, maybe 45 minutes or so. It is a beautiful park and has more, and better coasters, if that's what you're after. I do not believe that public transportation to this park is a desirable alternative. Have fun, but be sure to see the ABC's! (All the Bloody Cathedrals) Will you be doing much sightseeing outside of Rome?
  5. It'll proably keep popping up until the ride actually opens.
  6. If that's true, that's a pretty big realignment, as the 'old' SFI was distancing itself from animal exhibits to some exrent.
  7. Hmm, here's a few. Voyage, To be remedied this spring, I believe. Hades, Ditto. Black Mamba, No time soon. X, Ditto Montu, Next winter, hopefully. Duelling Dragons, Ditto.
  8. ^^That's a Batwing. The "butterfly" on Gouderix is the one behind the vertical loop in this photo: http://www.rcdb.com/ig753.htm?picture=6 As that was the only painful part of the ride to me, I'm not surprised that it wasn't on his list of choices.
  9. I was impressed at how far Goliath at Walibi World climbed up the poll. I thought I was weird for personally preferring it to E:GF, but I guess that a lot of people think highly of it too. Top 20: 9 Intamin 10 B&M 1 Arrow/Morgan Not much love for American steel!
  10. Eejanaika only had two riders so far. Five is the minimum for consideration. The Superman that beat E:GF was the Australian version. Pyrenees is actually pretty good, it had to do very well in the ten ballots that it was on to get all the way to tenth place overall. Magnum isn't doing very well, the downward trend seems to be accelerating.
  11. Sorry, I just thought that there was a difference between having a sense of humor and making fun of those with disabilities. I've not met the guy, don't care if I ever do. In the meantime, maybe I should just ignore some of the more juvenile comments and attitudes around here. In any case, Wes, as you've never met me or spoken to me, I don't quite understand why you write about me as much as you do.
  12. Mike, BeemerBoy and Pete, I'd just like to say thank you for a voice of reason. Intolerance of any sort is far too common, and far too often tolerated. I'm mostly upset that a moderator jumped in to help make fun of the guy, rather than put a stop to it. An amazing milestone, regardless of the individual who achieved it.
  13. ^Quite a few companies have been referring to that maneuver as an Immelman. There's another name for that when a stunt plane does it, I believe it's a stall-turn. Maybe it's just a mix-up between related aerial stunts? Maybe Immelman (the pilot) invented both?
  14. ^ Said nothing about me... < Is me... \/ Is someone else...
  15. No, not anymore. I sold my Xbox and games a couple weeks ago. Do you like spam?
  16. Friendly Advice: When calling for a job in regards to an ad in the newspaper: Turn off the TV and radio. Don't use a mobile phone. Don't take another call or tell the person you called to "hang on" while you go do something else. Don't read the ad to the person who takes your call. Don't call while drunk, stoned, tired, etc. I could go on, but those are the ones that are the worst offenders.
  17. ^I just didn't want to jump on the Black Mamba/Nemesis/Dueling Dragons bandwagon.
  18. No, Paul, what you are describing is what all the other guys on the ship are up to while I'm off chasing obscure coasters! On topic, I'm kind of excited, as this place is easy to get to from my in-laws place when I go visit. (Hopefully late this year.)
  19. I'm fairly certain that all B&M's are one of two distinct guage track: Dive Machines All others. If for some reason, you wanted to put a stand-up train on flyer track, you could, it just wouldn't make any sense. Aside from the sit down to floorless, I don't think you'd want to change them out between any other styles.
  20. I actually kind of like Silver Star's theme. The video walls and the race cars actually tie together with the ride fairly well. Katun's Mayan / Stargate theme is cool, too. Bad? Diavalo has zero theme.
  21. Wes, nobody knew what was there! If it had turned out to be a mid-sized decent ride, you wouldn't ask that question, right? So, I went. Now, nobody else has to.
