OSU has a good class of recruits this year, some real gems for the O-line, hopefully enough to make Pryor become a Buckeye.

At Cedar Point, I do several things. 1. Pack a cooler and have a shady lunch in the picnic area on either side of the gate. 2. Go to East of Chicago Pizza on the causeway, 6.99 for a metric ton of food. 3. Eat one meal at Midway Market, Kids prices for this buffet are the same as a hot dog basket at a walk up and unlimited beverages, the AC and unlimited desserts make this a good place to stop on a hot day. Food quality is still cedar fair, but better than most other places in the park. For my daughter and me to eat there it is about 21.00, which is actually less than if we go to say Chik Fil A and each get a chicken sandwich, fries and a drink. And did I mention unlimited ice cream and pie????

Great footage of the 'good old days at KI. I went there every year when I was a kid, ( I was 11 in 1981). It was good to see the loop over the pond before the lift hill of The Beast, and you can tell the part where the train is coming in to the station was filmed at the original exit, which is now blocked off. The Bat was a great ride and being 11 when i rode it, seemed like it was a lot faster.

Best grocery store EVER is Jungle Jims in Cincinnati/Fairfield Ohio. Most awesome selection of hot sauces anywhere. AND they have an old Kings Island safari monorail train. If you ever go to Kings Island, it is a short trip from there. It is a fun place to go. Great TR.

Great photos. I will, as I live in Ohio, benefit from this trip report. i sent a link of it to Richard Kinzel at Cedar Fair. I am sure he will be interested in the cool dirt mounds at MM. Once he realizes that MM has these great piles of dirt, CP will get even better ones. (I also told him that there is NO WAY Cedar Fair could destroy Mean Streak the cool way that Psyclone was) I can only hope that Cedar Fair will try to 'one-up' MM and tear down Mean Streak.

Wow, I think some people take their home parks too seriously. Being in Columbus ohio, I go to both KI and CP on a regular basis, probably 6 or 7 each per year. Lately more to CP since my 10 year old daughter is so into coasters now. I grew up going to KI and was it better 20 years ago? yes. I remember riding The Beast in 79 when it opened. Hard to put my finger on it, but the atmosphere was great, also seems as though there were more flat rides. In my opinion KI is not what it used to be, perhaps it turned for the worse when Paramount bought it. Bottom line is this, I do enjoy both parks. I have fun with my daughter at both parks. I have had fun at Disney, I have had fun at six flags parks. I have had fun at the Busch parks. In my wildest fantasy, Anheuser Busch buys out cedar fair and opens Busch Cedar Gardens Point in Ohio. If you do not like a park, do not go to it. BeemerBoy, send me that avatar so I can hold up my end of the bet!

I saw National Treasure 2 last weekend and I found it very enjoyable and fun. I do not judge movies by how "realistic" the movie is. It IS a movie, for entertainment. It did have the Indy feel as mentioned before, but was still very good. I saw this movie onetime where the villain, who was voiced by James Earl Jones, wore black plastic and ended up being the hero's father. This movie had spaceships flying all over the place going light speed. COMPLETE BS. As far as believability, I gave it a .000000000001/ 10, but it was very entertaining.

This is a first for you then. Of course hindsight is 20/20, but Florida was much better than OSU in January of 2007, what a butt kicking that was. That was actually the worst coaching job of Tressel's career at OSU, ever hear of "blitz" Jim???? This year? As stated before, I think OSU has a better shot at beating LSU than the way OU is playing right now.
