That park looks nice, and is not covered a lot on TPR. Thanks for the pics. -

Meh, I'm not going to bash a park for supporting charity and catering to geeky enthusiast wants. If you want to go ahead, but I see no reason to. And I'm not a Cedar Fair or Cedar Point fan at all lol. -

Planned Trips This Summer
Wood Dragon 1988 replied to Homeboy23's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
It seems like there must already be a topic for this, but what the hell I'll post here anyway. April- SFGAd, Casino Pier, Funtown Pier, Jenkinsons Boardwalk. Sometime- Wisp Resort July- TPR Texas Trip. SFOT, SFFT, SWSA, Kemah Boardwalk, Bonus Park. Late July/Early August- Midwest Trip to Camden Park, SFKK, KI, Indiana Beach, Holiday World, Dollywood. Looks like all my new credits accept for one (the Wisp credit if that is a credit) will be earned over a three weeks time. Oh well, those weeks I'm going to be living like I'm an Alvey. I'll take that for now. Coasters I'm looking forward to the most are: Cornball, LCOSM, Voyage, Shockwave, Steel Eel, Freeze, Beast, and the Mountain Coaster at Wisp. -

Ah yes, did the same thing on my first trip there. Fortunately I know where it is now! Looking through all those pics, it's amazing how many cool looking rides are there I have never been on despite my many visits. It probably has a lot to do with Phoenix being there, and my butt is in and out of that seat most of my times there! Downdraft especially is something I need to check out next time I go. -

Skyline Park looks amazing. I remember videos my grandparents have at American "playgrounds" in the 60s and 70s. They were so much more dangerous than they are today. I wonder if those would have evolved into Klotten/Skyline type parks had it not been for this lawsuit-happy country. -

Interesting report. Booo to Thunderbolt getting new lap bars and seat belts. I really liked that ride last year, I hope it is still just as good. Still can't deside if I like the whole Bizarro thing or not, but I really want to ride it again! -
What is your favorite band?
Wood Dragon 1988 replied to SonOfBeastSucks's topic in Random, Random, Random
My favorite is easily Rascal Flatts. I used to hate them when I first heard them, but that was more of a hate of the first song I heard from them - Fast Cars and Freedom. 90% of everything after that has been awesome! -
One coaster that I have really been wanting to ride for a while is the "Coaster" at Vancouver's Playland Park. With Phoenix being my favorite coaster, "Coaster" seems to be one of the closest things to it. It seems like a good classic ride with stand up airtime, and single position lapbars, much like Phoenix. This picture just screams airtime! It is always ranked fairly high in Mitch's poll. I was wondering if anyone who has actually ridden it on TPR thinks it is better/worse than it's hype. I really want to try it out for myself, but traveling around 4000 miles for it seems a bit much!

I went today as well. I have to say my first hour went very similar to Big Mike's. However, I stuck it out because I don't plan to go back very soon (live very far away), and the day slowly got better. I got to ride El Toro three times, so I can't complain too much. Also, just want to say it was nice meeting Big Mike (the man, the myth, the legend), Nay, and Chris from GCI!
