Sad news, especially since it looked to have a pretty decent coaster line-up.
Interesting that one "freak" accident (assuming it was a freak accident) could have such an effect on a park.
^LOL I don't think I've ever had a true "Midterm Season", but I am counting the days till spring break too. No coasters, but the beach sounds so good right now.
My favorite seat on several coasters:
Phoenix: 3rd row
Boulder Dash: Back
El Toro: Back
Skyliner: Back
Leap the Dips: Back
Volcano: Front
B&M Inverts: Front
Jokers Jinx: Front
Comet Hershey Park: 3rd row
Hurler: Back
Apollo's Chariot: Back
Nitro: Back
Behemoth: Front
I agree.....and I don't think the roughness is even worth mentioning. I have never found either rough, and don't know why anyone would, unless the rode them pre lap-bars.
I like Jinx better than FOF. I have never found it slow, accept in the middle, where FOF is obviously slow too due to the MCBR. I find the cars a bit more roomy than FOF, I don't know if that is true or not.
I would like to believe you airtime, but as an old member of your site and others, I can claim that you've been saying that since 2005. Why would 2009 (or 2010 as you said) be any different?
Personally, I am not going to waste any of my slim savings on the park as of now, after a horrible visit last year (and a few in the past).
Would love to do it, but it's the last day of my spring break (a recovery day). Hopefully next year! This has got to be the best single day on the TPR calendar.
After two years of working and going to junior college, I am really loving school right now. Living at a university has probably been the best experience of my life. I am going to be so upset when school is over I think. I only have three semesters to go
I think this looks like the best GCI to date in my opinion.
A straight first drop, a series of four airtime hills in a row, and then another series of two bunny hills. More of my style ride than their usual twisters.
