  1. Yay for ghetto fair photo trip reports, though this one wasn't as ghetto as the official TPR one back in June. Still, looks like you had a great time. -Sam
  2. KBF had great pizza when I went there last year.
  3. Band: Sum 41. Their new album is amazing. DJ Group: Alphazone. I can't wait for their new album "Peaktime"
  4. I'm not too fond of GA either. Their currently standing coasters are all rough and headache inducing, besides Top Gun. I loved Greased Lightnin' because it never had any lines the two times I went to the park. Stealth was also a great ride which they should have kept instead of taking it out for Boomerang (f***ing) Bay. I wish they still had Whizzer. My dad says that was a great ride.
  5. This is classic! If I were kicked in the nuts by a kid, I'd chase him around too.
  6. On park atmosphere, Cedar Fair is definitely better (although SFDK's new theming is hard to compete with). When I went to KBF last year, I noticed how much cleaner it was than when I was at SFMM the previous day. The food was also much better at KBF. So it looks like Cedar Fair is better. Although I have yet to visit CP and SFGAdv. Also, try swimming in the water at a SF water park. It's filthier than the water in the bathrooms.
  7. Medusa at SFDK was the trashiest line ever. There was trash all over the path, a spilled soda in the middle of the queue under the station, and trash cans overflowing. There was literally trash piled up along the walls in the entire area.
  8. I went to fright fest there last year and I thought it was a joke. Not scary at all. There were only two full size walk throughs which weren't all that scary either. In fact, my friends and I messed with the staff who were in there a lot. Compared to my visit there at fright fest in 2001, It was nothing. -Sam
  9. It's always sad to see classic rides like these go.
  10. Another question. This is hard to explain. When October comes around and people have sent in their deposits, and if there are more people signed up than spots available, and the "lottery" is held, will those not selected be put on a waiting list in case people drop out?
  11. Goliath is my favorite coaster! However, it just barely beats Tatsu. I have not ridden any of the other Goliaths.
  12. ERT = Exclusive Ride Time IMO = In My Opinion
  13. If they would do it in a humane manner, then I would have no problem with it. But this is just sickening.
  14. Nice job. I hope to reach the 500 mark someday. I will reach my #100 during the east coast trip next summer! -Sam
  15. Oh god... "Shuffle Royal (Alphazone Remix)" by Escade
  16. I don't know which ride has the highest G forces, but I did some research and here is what I found. Mindbender in Canada. Thriller in Germany. (in it's most recent location at SFDK as "Zonga" the ride was modified to reduce the 6.5Gs that were created in the parallel loops. Moonsault Scramble in Japan. I think there was also one more coaster in Germany with G forces of 6 or higher, but I couldn't find the name. I think it was called "Dreier Looping." Can anyone confirm this? -Sam
  17. I heard a rumor that the log ride was going to be removed to make way for the Eurofighter. I sure hope this doesn't happen since that's one of the best rides in the park. Now if they could integrate it with the log ride and give it a mine theme like Mystery Mine, that would be pretty neat. Also, I pray to god that this will not be a Spongebob themed coaster. I have no problem with the TV show, just theming a full size coaster to a show like that is just going to far to add to the Nickelodeon theme. I doubt it since it's surrounded on all 4 sides by shops. -Sam
  18. Another question, For the east coast trip, will we be going to the water parks that are next door to some of the parks (PKD, SFA, SFNE) during the visit? I would really like to go to them.
  19. Do you blame him though? It's human nature to be scared of something after such a serious accident. When I was 8, I was nearly killed on an alpine slide accident. I still ride alpine slides whenever I get the chance. Didn't scare me away.
  20. Either find a thread for these death coasters, or don't post them at all. I'm sure there are other sites that cater to death coasters like these.
  21. Best: Us guys really enjoyed cheerleader day at SFDK (when it was SFMW) Worst: Being sick at SFMM on my only day there during my So Cal trip this summer.
  22. When I rode Tatsu in July, they were running only one train and one station.
