  1. Well it's too early for me to be thinking about my 100th as I only just passed 50 earlier this year. -Sam
  2. Add "Manteca Waterslides" to the list. I never got a chance to go there and I have been unable to find any pictures of it. -Sam
  3. That woman who exposed herself needs to suck it up. If she is so upset, she shouldn't have been wearing such revealing clothing in the first place. They have dress codes for a reason to prevent this kind of stuff. She left herself totally wide open for this and if she can't handle it, then she needs to handle situations better instead of placing all the blame on the other person. -Sam
  4. ^ I realized that after I released the download. I did do tunnel testing, but then I made some adjustments to the brake run so I guess the head choppers are back.
  5. I remember there was a joke about getting married on roller coasters in The Simpsons one time. "You wont get married on Colossus...just say it, it's me." *runs away crying*
  6. This is pretty cool. I always enjoy looking at old pictures of parks before they became modern. -Sam
  7. ^ Yes the wave pool is still there and it still sends that huge wave. I'm not a huge fan of that wave pool either. For anyone who cares about captions on the pictures, I posted them on RCPro, but I'm too lazy to rewrite them. So here is the link if you even care. http://www.rollercoasterpro.com/forum/showpost.php?p=144962&postcount=7 -Sam
  8. Today in Colorado, I visited Hyland Hills Waterworld. This is pretty much the SFMM of water parks. Despite the fact that it was a Monday, the park was almost filled to capacity. I got there shortly after it opened at 10:00 and left around 4:00. The weather was great except for the fact that I got badly sunburned. [Due to the fact that it's late now and have to get off the computer, I only have time to put up the pictures tonight as I already uploaded them to imageshack. I will add captions tomorrow if I can find time after flying home from Colorado.] Captions/explanations to come tomorrow. -Sam
  9. I'm not bashing it, I'm just saying it was not as good as I remember from my first visit.
  10. Well I was only at the park for about 2 hours but it was still good considering how much cheaper it is than the nearby Elitch Gardens. The last time I visited this park before this was at night back in 2004. I personally like it much better at night. Here is the Lakeside Cyclone as seen from the parking lot. Entrance building tower. If by "great" they mean "rough," then yes, it sure is. Landscaping Cyclone station. Yes, theres no queue at all except for a small ramp. Lakeside's newest attraction "Zoom." Or as I call it, "Supreme Scream Jr." For any of you ACErs out there, including myself. Close up of inside station. They still use the old style of brakes. On the second to last ride, they stopped our train too soon and the ride ops had to come out and push the train the rest of the way to the station. Wild Chipmunk. Apparently I rode in "Chip" Lots of head choppers, and this ride felt like it was going to fall apart. Wild Chipmunk, a ghetto wild mouse coaster. Merry Go Round was the only ride that operated as the afternoon thunderstorm passed by. "World's most exciting round up" it looked like any other round up to me. And trash bin. Power railed Dragon coaster that I did not ride. This ride looked dangerous and uncomfortable at first, but it was actually quite fun and more comfortable than other fair swinging inverters. And I conclude this PTR with something that looks like it belongs at SFMM, and old, abandoned, dilapidated ferris wheel ride thingy. -Sam
  11. Xplode 2 (Backside Artists Remix) - Shaun Baker
  12. 6/10 The questions on the parks outside the US were the ones that got me.
  13. 1992: Drachen Fire for sure. I would also visit, but at undecided years: *Six Flags AstroWorld (2005 or earlier) *Manteca Waterslides (2004 or earlier) *The original Elitch Gardens (1994 or earlier) *SFMM before they went crazy with adding coasters. (1990 or earlier) I will probably think of more later but this is all for now. -Sam
  14. 1. SFA 2. SFGAm 3. SFMM 4. SFDK 5. SFDK 6. SFGAdv
  15. I completely agree with you on that. The parents need to take responsibility for their kids into their own hands instead of just sitting back, waiting for something to happen, and ten blame the park. If anything, the parents should pe the ones paying SF since they were irresponsible to let their young children on the slide and hey acted up and got hurt. but the sad thing is that lawsuits like this almost always win over because the jury "feels sorry for the poor children" and say SF should pay every penny they have until the parents are neck deep in money and the amusement industry bankrupt. It's not that these accidents are more common these days, it's that parents no longer take responsibility and they feel they have the power to cheat injury and complain when they don't get their way. Sorry for the long rant, but this is what is wrong with America. -Sam
  16. Dooh Dooh (Darude vs. JS16 Remix) - Barcode Brothers
  17. Last night I decided to make a recreation of the original Mr Twister from Elitch Gardens. This took me about 3-4 hours to make; start to finish. Overview. For you lift hill fans. First drop! In the helix. Tunnel! The rest of the ride. Tell me what you think! -Sam Mr Twister.zip
  18. So It was directed to one before mine or one that the user deleted?
  19. ^ Jeez all I was saying that they have done a great job and I have nothing against them and I am well aware of how hard they are working to keep us updated. I am planning on go on a trip with them next year if I can earn enough money. -Sam
  20. What's with all this talk I hear about the videos not working with Firefox? I have the latest version of it and they all work for me. I think you have to download a plugin for them to work. Another great photo TR for the day. When I was in Spain, not too far from Port Aventura (Barcelona in 2002) I got a coke bottle with an add for it. Not that any of you care, but I just thought I'd share it with you since you went there today. -Sam The picture is kinda blurry so here is what it says "Consigue tu entrada! Mira al dorso" I have no idea what that means even though I just completed 3 years of Spanish in high school.
  21. The rotor at SFMM is toned down so much that it doesn't spin fast enough for you to stick to the wall when the floor goes down. It's just barely fast enough. The floor on that only drops out about one foot or so. Now if it had the speed of a Gravitron, that would be my favorite. -Sam
  22. OMG! That is insane! I wanna ride that! I have done a few zip lines but nothing like this. My cousin got to ride a massive zip line through the woods in Alaska 2 years ago that was similar to this one. Too bad there was no more room left for that excursion. -Sam
  23. Uh you forgot Rotors Those are fun too and are what Gravitrons originated from. Gravitron all the way! Usually good music, more freedom to move around. I still like them even though several years when I was riding one at a ghetto fair in Wisconsin the inside started filling up with smoke and we had to be evacuated. -Sam
  24. Here is the screamin' swing. Tell me what you think and any suggestions you have SCR2.bmp Mostly done
