RCT1, 2, & 3 FAQ's
Goliath513 replied to Goliath513's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
The way I would do that would be to lower the land where you're going to put the ride and then build up around it with scenery. -

Do all Intamin hypers have these so called "leg restraints"? -
Only 2 of my close friends who I have not met through roller coaster forums (TPR, RCPro, etc) are supportive of my strong interest in roller coasters. I actually got them both more interested in coasters than they previously were. One of them had to overcome "motion sickness" and eventually rode big coasters such as Medusa, El Toro, & Kingda Ka without getting sick. The other friend of mine who is supportive just hadn't been to many amusement parks and just last week he went to SFDK to ride the roller coasters there and he really enjoyed them (but nowhere near as much as me) Last year I met a girl who really likes roller coasters and amusement parks. So much that she makes an annual trip to SFMM & DLR [although that might not sound like much to most of you, but it is to me], and has been on every ride at both those parks (even Flashback). We talked for quite a while before I asked her out and she rejected me because she saw me as a "just friend" We still talk, but no where near as much as before Sorry for the depressing second paragraph. :-/

Right after the Drop Zone tragedy they pretty much surrounded the ride with netting in case someone else fell. Fortunately that never happened, but it appears that they have removed the netting as shown in this picture. Superman Power of Tower doesn't have this, but at least they have the covered queue which looks like it could be a canvas cover or something.

Rides you won't do again

After reading that article about the accident on Superman Tower of Power at SFKK, I dont think I will ever go on that if I ever go there. -
As everyone else has said already, I hope they are able to reattach her feet. In my opinion, SF should sell this ride to pay for the girl's medical expenses (and probable lawsuits). But nobody would want to buy a ride that cuts off peoples' legs so it will probably end up as scrap. Jeez, first that death on the TOGO in Japan, KidTums nearly gets crushed at SFMM and the very next day a girl loses her feet. 2007 sure is a dark year for the amusement industry.

Now if only I could meet a girl like that. I plan to get a part time job while I'm still in school so I can afford to go on one of your trips.

There are 2 cameras - 1 for each side. This picture should give you an idea of what I mean. Ignore the facial expression
-
(when facing the camera on the ride) Jet Stream - right Viper - right X - both Goliath - left Scream - right (i think) Tatsu - no clue
-
I have counted it for one of my credits.

Rides you won't do again

Yeah Borg go back to Great America where you will be appreciated. I will not ride those little kiddie coasters at fairs that you have to pay $5 or so to ride. -

The Ranger (double swinging inverter fair ride) - Painful, cramped cages. iron hard OTSRs, hard seats. Flat out miserable experience. Burn in H!@# Ranger!! -
US Parks vs. Foreign Parks

^^ Another good way of saying that might be someone who prefers SFMM over DLR (like myself). -
Funniest Ride Experiences
Goliath513 replied to Coasters 4 ever's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Here are some of my funniest moments (in no particular order). 1. Much like this, my brother's hat flew off on the final drop on Log Jammer at SFMM. He was freaking out because he thought he lost his favorite hat. But then I look back and there's his hat floating in the infamous "six flags soup" in the log boat. 2. During frightfest at SFDK last year, some random lady handed me an unused fastpass because she didn't need it. So while walking over to Medusa as we passed people I would yell out "Fastpassfivedolla!" like some crazy fast-talking auctioneer trying to sell it. 3. Earlier in the day, in one of the haunted mazes, me, my brother, and his friends were messing around with the guys in costumes inside and bribed them to do random things with loose change that we had found throughout the day. 4. At SFMM earlier this year, it was in the evening and my brother and I were getting repeat rides in the front on Viper and after each time around we discovered loose change in the bottom of the car even though neither of us had any coins before. You could hear the loose change rattling around during the double corkscrew. 5. The next night at SFMM, in line for, and on Deja Vu, there were these "gangsta" teenagers who my brother and I agreed just had the funniest attitude ever heard. It was hilarious listening to them during the ride. 6. Listening to the screams of pain of guests after riding Kong (Vekoma SLC) at SFDK. -
Every time I visit Waterworld here in California, the rope is closer the the shore each time. Last summer at Sacramento Waterworld (now Raging Waters) the rope prevented everyone from going beyond the first half of the wave pool. I think that's way overprotective considering it was at the mark where non swimmers are not allowed to go beyond and at my first ever trip to a water park with a wave pool, the rope was just a few feet from the back.

^ Finally someone agrees that even with no theming, a coaster like Scream can be good. I'll bet the fact that Expedition Everest is a Vekoma and Scream is a B&M has something to do with preferred ridership. -
Dive Machine not out of the question!?!? Where would they have room for another major coaster anyways. In my opinion, they need a new water ride to compensate for the removal of WWL.

http://www.unknowntrack.com/ This site should help. If you can find a sound sample, that would help out a lot.

Peaktime has received a new color scheme. And several track modifications. I'm not posting another download because of the minor changes. Tell me what you think. -
