Halfpipe at Elitch Gardens is a lame excuse for a coaster. Slow, rough, pointless spinning. And they market it as an alternative to snowboarding. To be honest I would rather go snowboarding (I'm a skiier) than ride Halfpipe again. Also, Kong at SFDK just plain sucks. No question about that. Although I still ride it when I'm there so I get the credit.

This is great! It definitely needs a better loading system. The new effects should be great. Lets hope they keep the techno soundtrack because that would just add to the experience to make the ride even more awesome! I wonder if this will count as a new credit.

Dude, same goes for the Best Western in Valencia. Right next to the loud freeway, old crappy rooms and just overall a dump. I even got sick after eating at the Denny's there.

^^ Haha thanks! 2002 was the last good season for GA. That was my first year there as well as my last. The whole extensive Nickelodean theming has just killed the atmosphere of the park from what I have seen. I had an old KD recreation for RCT2 on my computer so I thought I'd build Dominator to see how it will look when finished. Not much different from Scream if they keep the parking lot. SCR1.BMP

I know they did!!! Tidal Wave and Stealth were 2 of my fave coasters to ride there. I hated taking them down, I just hated it. I loved Tidal Wave/Greased Lightnin because it was the only ride you didn't have to wait an hour and a half to ride. Stealth was the top ride in the park and they just made things worse by removing it. In my opinion, Great America should destroy Boomerang Bay and redeem themselves.

It all depends on the ride. For most wooden coasters with Millennium Flyer trains I go for the back. Roar at SFDK is a good example of why I go for there. No explanation needed. Others like Tatsu, Goliath, Medusa I go for the front if the line is not unreasonably long.

Boomerang Bay in 2004 at Great America. Why??? Worst amusement industry mistake ever. For removing a great coaster like Stealth they should have thought before making the final decision. On a side note relating to Great America, I think when they sent Greased Lightnin to SFDK, SFDK should have just built it instead of selling the majority of it for scrap while parts went of to SFKK.

Well it's about time Great America gets a new coaster. If they end up removing Grizzly to make way for this I will not be disappointed at all. When I rode it last 5 years ago it didn't seem as bad as everyone says it is, but it's removal could benefit the park. I was hoping the park would get one of the coasters from Geauga Lake, but at this point, anything is fine for the park.
