  1. Great Pictures of my home park I agree! I mean, I'm always up for a new ride, but I have to say that STR really just feels like a longer snake river falls. I don't get the point, either. Maybe they want to remove Snake River Falls in the some what nearish future?
  2. That stinks that one of your favorite waterslides is gone. But at least the replacements sound like a fair trade off. If you don't mind me asking, why doesn't southern Australia have more amusement parks? Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, and Adelaide all look like they could support a large park (well maybe not Canberra) and yet all the large parks are near Brisbane/Gold Coast. Is the weather not good in those areas or what?
  3. Waldameer is such a great little park! I'll admit that I didn't even know the park existed until 2007, and the first time I actually visited the place was when Ravine Flyer II opened up. I am so jealous that you basically had ERT on RVII... there seems to always be a 20 or 30 minute wait when I go! The Tom Ridge Environmental Center across the street is pretty cool as well and should definitely be checked out if you are into nature or history of Erie/Great Lakes.
  4. Based on the location of The Beach next to Liquid Lightning, it appears that the attraction is taking the place of the old water ski stadium.... in which case the sand was already on site!
  5. But at least we still have Dragin Iron...Err...Iron Dragon!
  6. The second bonus video made me laugh out loud in the library!
  7. I sense a slight theme with your top coasters, Robb!
  8. A simple and humble word of advice: you should really post a link next time for issues like this one. Or at least quote Screamscape: The Grandma Hammer Story and her Comcast rage. With that said, even though Comcast might run the Universal Empire, I'll give them a fair chance until they prove that they are not fit to be in charge. With their track record, however, it might happen sooner rather than later.
  9. That was really interesting. My earliest memory of Cedar Point happened in 1994, so it would have been cool if I could have checked out the park in the late 1970sa. I missed out on a lot of rides like the Jumbo Jet, the Pirate Ride, Mill Race, and even the old second cable cars. It sure has changed since that brochure came out. Thanks for spending your time posting all the pages of the brochure! Will you also be posting the Kings Island one as well? I'm curious to see how the park described the Beast.
  10. How in the world are you going to pull this off in one day?
  11. What an epic park! I have never seen so many bathroom jokes and animal boobs in a 3 minute span!
  12. I was checking this out earlier on screamscape and I was wondering if this would actually be built. Assuming that the coaster is built, it's going to be interesting to see which manufacturer will be used. I'm betting on Intamin. The original Tianjin Amusement Park listing on Roller Coaster Database
  13. That's precisely the analogy that popped in my head the first time I watched the POV. The first drop and turn are Piraten on steroids. It looks like an awesome ride. The first turn is going to be intense at 90 mph! I have some friends in Virginia, hopefully I can visit them next year and go to King's Dominion. Sounds like a fun vacation to me!
  14. I became a fan yesterday, Number 881 The video just went Live!

  16. My hopes and dreams were just crushed
  17. Wow! I don't even know where to begin! The park looks simply stunning. One of the pictures seems to show that there will be a lot of land available for expansion. Dubai seems like a great theme park enthusiast's dream in 5 to 10 years when many of these projects should be finished. TPR Dubai Trip 2017 anyone?
  18. Must have been a heck of a party!
  19. I completely HATE line jumpers! Here are some of my "favorite" line jumper memories: I was waiting in line for the wild mouse at Dorney Park, and these four children pretty much go close to the front of the queue. The oldest could not have been more than 12. They said that they had to meet up with their family, which is probably true, but I was waiting for 20 minutes! Another time is last month at Cedar Point's Halloweekends. My family was waiting in line for a haunted house for 45 minutes and these five teenagers jumped the fence about 2 minutes from the entrance. I yelled and called them out. Thank goodness the security guard heard and came on over to kick the group out of the line.
  20. This park is beautiful! Most of the waterparks in America just plop some brightly colored slide on a flat plot of land. Wild Wadi looks like they really care about the atmosphere of the park.
  21. Great Work Guys! IAAPA looks like so much fun! Did you get any more info on the Coaster Museum? Sounds really cool.
  22. That looks like a sweet expansion project for a small park! Now, it will feel like an amusement park as opposed to state fair!
  23. I haven't filled out my poll just yet, but Boulder Dash is definitely my #1. I'll try to do it next weekend.
  24. That was really entertaining for a kid's show! Is it a bad thing that when you referred to KT as Kristen, that it took me a minute to figure out who you were talking about? I just can't remember the last time someone called her by her birth name..
  25. This ride looks surprisingly good. Pretty cool layout for being so small. The POV on youtube shows a nice rate of speed and maybe a nice dose of airtime. I'll definitely try to stop at the park when I am in the New England area.
