  1. "Shaun of the Dead" is so funny I almost can't handle all the laughing I do when I watch it. If you haven't seen it, drop whatever you are doing and go rent or buy it!
  2. When you think about it, we enthusiasts have our very own langauge. A member of the GP could never guess what "SKC at SFFT" or "SoB is such a horrible ride, mayby if CCI would of built it, PKI would have a better ride." People reccomend learning a foreign langauge, but if you speak "enthusiast" you already speak something besides English!
  3. I have been going to PKI my entire life and the last time I went, I rode the Rcaer- backwards for the very first time. I like the Racer, forwards that is. I hated my backwards ride with a storng, burning, firey passion. That is the only backwards coaster I have been on to go by, but I don't like backwards coasters... for now at least.
  4. Sounds like fun! I will be going on the first gorup trip that is planned after I graduate college! Until then, have fun everyone!
  5. When I rode the Italian Job, the line went fairly quick and it was half the wait time later in the day.
  6. Legalize pot and gay marraige and install a Starbucks in the white house.
  7. I just got two Green Day tickets as a late birthday gift from a friend! The concert is Monday, September 12 at the Conseco Field House in Indianapolis, Indiana at 7 PM! Well it is exciting for me anyway because I am a huge Green Day fan.
  8. I'm pretty sure "Proscan" in my room, "Tobisha" in the basemnet and "Sharp" in the family room and my sisters room. I used to have a Zenith but it only lasted about three years!
  9. Which of these is your favorite park chain? Paramount, Cedar Fair, Six Flags or other? I decided not to include Disney, Universal and Busch because everybody would vote for them!
  10. ^Yeah, it is certainly one of the best parks to drive up to. You can see everything in the distance, getting closer and closer.
  11. I don't think people go to Carowinds to ride Scooby Doo.
  12. STARBUCKS! I have something from Starbucks with me in all hours of the day and I'm never tired so I guess it works!
  13. I am above 6 foot and below 6'5". I'm really not sure besides that though.
  14. Sarasota is a great beach area, about two hours south of BG. I would just go to IOA, BGT and Sarasota! Unless, you have kids going on the trip.
  15. REMOVE SON OF BEAST! Nobody rides that worthless POS anymore! It takes up a lot of space, so thay could fit anything there! Top Gun certainly gets my vote to stay and allthough I don't mind Vortex, if they want to remove it and add a B&M looper, by all means, go ahead. On the subject, put some damn trees in the Action Zone! The rest of the park is nice but the Paramount addition of AZ is horrible with only TG, DZ and of course Delerium being the good rides.
  16. If CF built in TX, I highly doudt it would be "CP size". Also, I agree it would be in one of the three laregest cities in TX... Dallas would be good, because it has a large population, San Antonio has a large population and good tourism and Houston again, has a lot of people and I don't think they would have to worry about too much competition from SFAW.
  17. I have been to both FL and CA. I think I would, just by a little, reccomend CA. It has more of a variety to see, HOWEVER, park- wise, which is probably one of your biggest concerns I'm sure, is actualy hands down FL. Disney is bigger, I wasn't impressed the least with SFMM. KBF was "okay", and I didn't get a chance to go to Universal. USF/ IOA are both fun, as is BGT (best coasters in FL) and all that. It is a hard desicion, just type back the areas that you would be going to in both places so I can help you a little more. I do not reccomend NYC for a "vacation", especialy if you already live in a big city. Also, SFOG is one of the nicer SF parks and Mrytle Beach is a REALLY fun area.
  18. College classes for me start August 22, but the high school I went too starts tomorrow, August 12
  19. ^^Cool, I had one from the park before, I guess I just didn't remember it. I know they can "revamp" and "rework" it somehow, but don't ask me any details on how they do that. It is weird that the Racer is smoother than the Beast. And if SoB didn't have the handrails in front of my knees, I may say the roughness is up there with it. ^Ok, I was just curious how near the front was, because I only ride in the back) to see if it was any smoother up there.
  20. ^Where did you sit on the Beast, and what time of day did you ride?
  21. Yesterday, 8/9, I went to PKI with a friend, Teal,. We got to the park at about 10:15. We started to walk back to the Beast and saw something exciting. PKI now has a Starbucks! But anyway, we passed the Italian Job on the way to Beast so we got in line. The line was about 30 minuets. Thoughts in line were that it looked like Whizzer from SFGAm. The line had some road signs and movie facts and Mini advertisments. When you get to the front of the line you are assigned a row. We got row 5. The launch is decent for the speed it is and the first manuever, the spiral thing that first reminded me of Whizzer in the first place was pretty fun. After that you drop and whirve through some police cars and then go up a hill and stop with barrels and gas and a helicoptor shooting at you, and fire. Then you drop inside a dark building where you can see nothing, do a few drops and turns, then drop out of it it, onto the water, do one more turn and the ride is over. Overall, the ride was pretty fun and a lot better than I thought it would be. After that we walked back to Beast. They were playing awful bluegrass/ country music outside of the line area. The line was very short and was only a two train wait for the back row. They were running two trains. This was not the best day for the Beast. It was so rough as it sometimes is that it felt like my heart moved. The ride was still fun though. We then walked to the front of the park and rode Viking Fury. It was a fun flat as usual. We then walked to the large place aross the midway to eat. I got a cheesburger, it was okay, but weird how easy to chew it was. I also got some pudding and found a hair in it. Nice. We then walked to Delerium, another half hour wait. The ride was great. This is one of my favorites in the park. A little short, but I love it. After that we walked over to Face/ Off. It was closed as it usualy is. We then walked to Top Gun. The line was about 20 minuets. I really like this ride. Short and sweet. Teal really wanted to ride Son of Beast for some reason, so I got in line with him, not thinking I was going to ride. There was NO LINE! We walked right on the front. It was rough as usual. I hated it. I had to work hard to keep my knees from banging the handrails! Tear the dumb thing down! Nobody rides it anymore. It needs to be called Daughter of Beast because it is a bitch! After that experence, we walked to Coney Mall. We got in line for the Racer, forwards. It was great! Very smooth and some pretty good air actualy. AFter that we got in line for the backwards Racer, it was the first time in my 19 years of living that I have ever ridden backwards Racer and I hated it. I will probably never ride it backwards again. We then headed to Flight of Fear and rode Scrambeler on the way. Its one of my favorite "older" flats. We got in line for FoF, mainly to get out of the heat. The line was 45 minuets. The ride was pretty fun. It always reminds me over the over the shoulder harness years though. You can see the track when you are going through it. We then walked to Shake, Rattle and Roll. Some little boy whou couldn't ride alone wanted to ride with me so the ride attendant asked me if it was fine with me and then let him in. Okay, fine. Then before the ride started he got scared and climbed out over the lap bar! Then when we were exiting he poured some water on my leg! WTF??? After that we walked to Vortex. I like the ride because my ears are above the harness so I don't have to worry about head banging. The first drop is fun and the hill after that has the best airtime in the park! After that, we walked onto Spongebob to get out of the heat and watched the decent movie. After that we walked back over to the Italian Job. The line was short and the ride was still fun. We rode the Beast again after this. It was a walk on and still rough. We headed for the front of the park after this. I got a Carmel Frappachino (sp?) on the way out. It was 7 PM and it was still hot. I had been up 29 hours at that point so I pretty much passed out when we got on the highway to go home.
  22. I don't think its weird that gay people like coasters/ parks. I didn't even think or decide I was gay until a couple years after I became an enthusiast. On the wheigt issue, I think the main reason is the food people eat on coaster trips... fast food, park food, junk food from drug stores.
  23. Raging Bull and S:UF are the best.... V2 is fun in the front row... Viper is fun (don't sit in the first row of the last car, no airtime).... nothing else really worth taking the effort to type about. Have fun.

    Braces

I had braces for five years... age 10- 15. My teeth wern't completley fixed when I was 15... my teeth were straight but my "bite" was horrible. So, when I was 18, I had to have a surgey to fix it where they broke my jaw bone and moved it around a little... and I had to get braces after that AGAIN. I had "invisible" braces for 9 months and just got them off a month ago. Finnaly at age 19, braces are finnaly behind me! ALSO, to anyone getting braces, brush your teeth at least 700 times a day, ALWAYS waer your rubberbands when told to (to avoid having your jaw broken in an operation) and getting your braces tightened usualy doesn't hurt. Also, getting "impressions" of your teeth is not a good experence. That substance is disgusting! Good luck.
