Sorry, dennis is on vacation in New York. ANyway, i think, if this person was legitimatly injured, he or she has every right to sue. Heck, it might even make them consider fixing the ride's roughness. Didn't PKI just fix SOB so it would not be so rough?

I could have tould you that Winter Fest would have been cancelled. PKI took all of signs and logos off the maps and replace it with Nick or Treat. I wonder what if any ride will go in next year?

Kings Island they just let the theme go and don't fix it all. At one time they did lets hope Cedar Fair can do something.

The sad thing some people will now think some of the Six Flags parks are Diseny parks.

Yes thats nice way PKI tells everyone in line. I was tould today while in line for IJSC a biohazard incident was in the car and they had to clean it. Also the cherry picker they use to check the loop on SOB is parked under the Top Gun track.

I heard that Flight of Fear was going to be rethemed but when the park went on sale they stoped the new theme and just left the ride sit.

Parts of Son of Beast where retracked before it opened this year. I am not sure if this was in the area where the wood failed.

State inspectors shut down the Son of Beast roller coaster indefinately after finding “structural problems” with the ride this morning. A timber – one of the ride's wooden support beam– is “cracked and had actually splintered in places,” said Fred Dailey, director of the Ohio Department of Agriculture this afternoon. Dailey and his team walked the tracks today to figure out what went wrong on the ride Sunday that sent 27 people to local hospitals. The ride has been shut down since 4:45 p.m. Sunday. Only two people remain hospitalized this afternoon, park officials said. “It was obvious there was a failure of the timber and maybe more than one,” said Dailey. While the problem would not have caused the train to leave the track, it could have caused a depression that would have created a bump in the ride, he said. That would explain riders’ complaints that they felt a sharp jolt while on the ride. The problem timbers are on a short section of track on one of the coaster’s hills. Dailey says it likely broke at the time of the accident or one or two rides prior. The Department of Agriculture is responsible for annually inspecting all amusement park rides in the state from go-carts to waterslides to roller coasters. The Son of Beast was inspected on May 19 and no problems were found. The coaster will remain closed until the state completes its investigation. It could take days or months. The department will also determine if there are any other safety issues with the ride. I rode SOB last year in the front seat and the car was tilting up and hitting the wood track very hard. I just hope everyone is okay. I was on a very hard e-stop on Gemini at Cedar Point. I was okay but a little girl had to be looked at.

^ Just to let you know, CVG is in Kentucky. So, if I do head out for the Mid-West trip, my dad and I would drive out to Kentucky (depending on which time of year) and just park the car at the airport and hop on the bus. Kings Island might be open with this winter if Cedar Fair is still doing Winter Fest. Their are not alot of rides open during the Winter and the only coaster is the Little Bill coaster.
