I was hoping that the rotating rides closed at Indiana Beach would be ending after last weekend with school being over. Seems that the new management won't/have not hired enough workers to open the park fully. I ran into the same situation last Saturday. Throughout the day random ride shut downs would happen (I have a photo trip report on here). Was any flat rides closed? Guess what I will have to remember is last year when all the rides would be open on a slow day and have ride ops at each ride.

Best Damn Tip Sheet Period

Indiana Beach Park Management: -Early Ride Session is best to get all the rides, I can ride everything I want and be done in 4 hours when the lines form. -Late ride session is best to hit rides at night with min. lines. -If Lost Coaster has a short line, get on it, this coaster has a train capacity of 8 per train. If low attendance, they might only run one train. Cons: -re ride policy is that you have to get out of your seat and go around again. Sometimes it is enforced, sometimes it is not. -I heard there is a rule that if the train is less than half full, the big wooden coasters run every 15 minutes or full trains. - On the white train of Hoosier Hurricane, a few of the seats and padding has been replaced by hardened plastic that hurts like no tomorrow is you are wider or bigger. Pros: -The setting of this park is so nice of it being on the water. - Flat rides have a long program cycle. - Bumper cars are really fun. Coasters: Lost Coaster of Supersticous Mountain: This ride used to be a powered ride and CCI redid it to be a coaster in 2002. You can still see some fo the old track below the new track at parts of the ride. Ride has many quick turns and things you wouldn't think a wooden coaster train should do. It has air time, quick turns, and unexpected things. And a elevator lift. Cornball Express: A CCI coaster. Out of the station you make a u turn into the lift hill. The first drop is a curve drop that has insane ejector air in the back seat. There is air time moments all over the track. Tiger: A standard production model Jet star, but this coaster has no restraints. Has quite a bit of speed also. Hoosier Hurricane: Another CCI. This one is built over the water for the first portion and part of the return leg. Quite a few moments of airtime in the back seat and front. The back has some ouch moments, though. Galaxi: Another standard coaster, it is fun though. Steel Hawg: Brand New coaster from S & S, it is not open yet and no significant track has been placed so don't know what to expect. Ride Recommendations: Double Shot: It is a standard S & S double shot, but it is fun. Schaffer Queen: Nice relaxing cruise on the lake on a paddle boat. The short rides are included in pop bands. The long ride is 1/2 price with pop band. Air Crow: Flying Scooters, but at full length, you are out over the lake. Water Swings: Standard Yo yo swings, but again, at full length, you are out of the lake. *This was my personal opinion, take it for what you like* -

IF it was my first time at Holiday World, what I would do is get to Voyage first, it will usually has a line most of the day. But the other two coasters will have little lines early in the season and late once the water park opens and everyone heads down there. You also forgot to mention the water park. Splashin Safari Do get to the water park before it opens to get a locker. It is only 10 dollars at first, but you get 7 of it back when you return the key. The newer slides will get lines faster, so hit up Bakuli and Jungle Racer before the others will. Monsoon Lagoon and Kima Bay are great for Kids As Dbru said, Bahari Snacks is a great place. I recommend the Bosco Sticks, Breadstick with Cheese in it for only 2.69 plus tax. -
What Was The Last Coaster You Rode?

Lost Coaster on Sunday before stuffing myself at IB brunch buffet. -
more This area used to be paid parking, where paid parking is, used to be free parking. Dam Lake shot Musik Express Big Wheel, might have been closed, it didn't rotate for a whiel./ Down since opening day, lap bars gone. Closed Saturday, opened for ERT on Sunday, though nobody really did it but a few. A fun ride, but not really worth the 20-25 dollars if I have had to pay for it. Lost coaster, when we had morning ERT on Sunday, we were ascending to the station and the drive tires has water on them and we didn't make it up the hill into the station. Took 5 workers to push enough to get us up. Also Sky Ride was closed at times also. Closed Tiger, was closed when picture was taken, later reopened. For you lifthill people, here is a double shot. Cornball's First drop.

After setting up camp at Indiana Beach Resort campground, I headed to the south gate to pick up my wristbands and all that stuff. Walking in I immediately noticed that Splash Battle, Sky Ride, Falling Star, and possibly the Big Wheel (wasn’t moving so there might not have been anyone riding it) were closed. Walking further into the park, Tiger, Air Crow, and the Scrambler were also closed. A little later, the Big Wheel and Sky Ride did reopen, as did Tiger. Quite a few of the closings, as an employee later said that night, was due to staffing issues with High School Graduations. All coasters except Galaxi were running one train, which was fine with the exception of Lost coaster which had a full que and probably could have used the second train. Galaxi had two trains and no wait. Most coasters had one train wait with the exception of Cornball and Hoosier that had a two train wait for front of back seats at certain times. While on ERT for Hoosier and Cornball, I went for a front seat ride on HH at night, I went to sit down and ouch. The front seat on the white train had padding (or lack of) replaced. The replacement was not soft leather with cushioning, but hard plastic and not made for big people like the old padding was. While it didn’t happen to me, apparently, someone was waiting to ride Cornball during regular ride time and was told to sit on a train to fill it up even though the person didn’t want to ride in that certain seat. As of right now, the only saving grace that the new ownership has is that they still run the coasters, dodge em’s and double shot as before. For me, the magic is no longer there when visiting the park. On the Steel Hawg front, the date I heard is July 4th. Someone I was talking to said three weeks, but I also heard the coaster cars have not even been built yet. All the coasters (with the exception of Tiger, which I did not ride this time) were running great. Lost coaster backwards is something really interesting. On a food note, prices seemed to have risen. If you do go, a one liter bottle of water at the stand below the shoot em dark ride is 2.50, which is what 20 ouches cost at other stands. The Skyroom Restraunt brunch buffet was excellent. Don't know the cost because it was included with the GOCC event. I also got to ride a Skycoaster for the first time. What a rush, it was fun, but if I had pay full price (it was included in club event), I probably wouldn't pay 20-25 dollars for a ride. I want to ride Old Town's 300 foot Sky Coaster now. Anyway....pictures, video by Thursday. Guess they could squeze a few more things in here. Track in place, transfer track. lift hill again, less sun glare Lift hill Track on structure Footers more structure More track. Steel Hawg Structure Steel Hawg track. We were the only people in the row...guess they heard about the Big Mike Road Show and decided to find it. BTW, check out the big mike road show thread. http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=41995 Camp I wonder what coaster this could be. Well, here is one of a few photos from HWN, good bye Dippin Dots, hello Mini Melts. Rose picture I may end up entering in the county fair.

I only visited twice in 2006 to ride coaster (didn't ride till Sept. of 2006 and only went once more after that) and it was good then. This last year, it was rougher and a little less re ridable. This year, the two times I have been down there, it is better than last year. But the re ride factor is only do able for me in the front seat. Back seat is okay the first re ride, but when the third comes to me, I have to take a break. Raven is the only coaster there I don't even have to take a break from riding, which is pretty awesome to just sit on a coaster for an hour and a half.

Great video, different to see a video with no music or anything. BTW, I hope someday we can embed from vimeo on here. I am using it now because my videos in SD uploaded there look 10 times better than youtube. -
Wait, 8th graders have a graduation cermoney, what the. Sorry, it isn't like it is a big deal, unless your a complete moron why wouldn't you pass 8th grade. If my last day of eight grade had one, I am glad I skipped that day.

SB 400 is okay, but the 600 isn't too much more. I got a metz 48 flash for 275, but they can be cheaper. I know the metz 48 is better than the 600 also.

I really don't care for Fudge anymore or much chocolate at all. Here is a video I put together. There is two parts, first part is general park video. Second part is all Voyage. Vimeo is a site for uploading high def videos. SD videos looks great also compared to youtube quality. I have issues uploadin to tpr so I might just use vimeo from now on. To finish off this trip report. I went back to the park on Sunday to enjoy another wonderful meal and very little gas usage (compared to going to another park). I rode Raven 6 times and Voyage 5 more times to make them a even 50 a piece lap wise and rode Legend once. While I was there, the lines were min. but there were some. I left the park about 2pm because I was literally a zombie after very little sleep. While driving home I could have dozed off quite a few times but kept myself awake till I reached highway 41 and grabbed a Mountain Dew to keep me awake till I got home. I finally made it home and locked my car and crashed for 2 hours within a minute of walking into my home.

I am only 5 minutes from the one, and my sister worked at one for about 6 months. They treated her horribly. -
Indiana Weather is deceiving. I woke up and it was cloudy and in the 50's, not water park ERT weather. I decided to go and get the breakfest. While waiting to walk back the clouds parted and the temps. warmed up. Still wasn't the best for the water park. When we got back tot he park, it was sunny and warm, and my swimming stuff was in my car. Kima Bay looks soaking. I then rode Voyage before making a video lap. Car problems forced me to leave the park and find a place that balanced tires. turns out all four tires were not balanced, which explains the extreme shaking at 75 mph. Walkback of Voyage is in an hour, so I will be going back for it After the Walk back I grabbed a ride on Voyage, but that was it for regular hours due to the high attendance all coasters had moderate rates. The Raven parking lot was almost full. After a very very good meal of hamburgers, fried chicken and mac n cheese (and time to let that settle), it was time to ride. I rode Voyage 5 times in 2 hours, mainly due to waiting for front row twice. Once in back, and a few times in middle. If I wasn't on a wheeled seat it was quite smooth. With an hour and half to go in ERT, I headed to Legend to get a ride on it. Set in the middle because it was a walk on except front and back which had a 1 train wait with two train operations on all three coasters. I then went to marathon Raven. I stopped at 20 times in a row just to get a break and ERT was over just as I was exiting. I rode Raven Front seat, second car, and 18 laps in the 4th car. So far since September of 2006, I have ridden Voyage 45 times, Legend 21, and Raven 44. Pictures and videos will be up by the end of the week.

I meant enjoyable by the lift hill speed causing the ride to go slower during the day and faster during ERT. The faster the ride, the more intense it is. And I officially hate this Indiana Time zone crap. Lines were actually pretty light, HWN attendance seemed quite low last night. Last year all the picnic tables were used and people were shoulder to shoulder at points outside the tables. This year I am sure there was tables free and you could pretty much roam outside the picnic tables.

After setting up camp at Lake Rudolph, headed into the park about 4:30. Went straight for Voyage, it was running as usual. Also rode Liberty Launch before heading into the picnic grounds to wait for the public to be shoo'ed out. ERT I am not 100% positive, but they have had to turn up the lift hill chain speed because Voyage was completely re ridable during regular hours. But the train seemed to be going faster during ert up the lift and was a little unre ridable during ert. If I sat on a non wheeled seat, it was better. Legend was about the same during the day as it was during ERT, as was Raven. Will update Tomorrow after morning water park ERT on Kima Bay. BTW, seen a TPR hoodie.

I know at quite a few old folks homes they have Wii's. Am I right Jeff? My station did a story on one senior citizen place having Wii bowling nights.
