I was watching the tv show "Tougher in Alaska" last night and Geo was delivering oil and fuel to remote Alaskan villages and I think I seen Theme Park Review on the shot from inside the home. Someone might have been replying to a thread.

Slow drivers. I seem to attract them! Everyone of them seem to drive 5 miles under the speed limit. One night on my way home from work, one person was in front of me for a couple miles and drove 10 miles under at one point and decided to brake check me even though I was far enough away. Idiotic drivers. One day after leaving work, I was going toward the other street and some person decided to pull into the lane behind this shopping center and not look. At some points, I could let him hit me and either total my car out or fix the body damage on that side. Instead I did the defensive driver thing and swerved. Moving. As most of you know, on June 7th I was flooded out of my apartment. On July 5th I moved into my new apt. I then started calling phone and cable companies about services. First issue was that the cable guy had to get access to the crawl space to install additional outlets. Problem is, I don't know where the access hole is. I ran a cable from the additional outlet in the front so I can have cable since I ahve to pay for it. Well, onto phone and internet. I called on July 8th to have phone and dsl service activated. They told me a couple of dates. They told me teh 17th to hook the phone and 22nd for dsl service. The reason for the later dates is that they literally had to connect my service as I didn't even have a dial tone when I plugged the phone. To date, I still don't have phone service and I have been tempted to switch to Road Runner and Time Warner Cable phone service. I stopped by the verizon store today to talk to a real person and not a machine (see next rant) and supposedly, the phone company is sending someone out in the next 5 days. If they don't after that, I am going to try cable, but that requires me to buy a wireless router as my current Dsl modem has one built in. Customer Service, where has it gone. I remember calling 1 8XX numbers for phone, cable, and anyone else and being able to get to talk to a real person in no time and getting business done. I was on the verizon one this morning for 15 minutes and was on the machine yelling "yes" or "no" into the phone until I finally reached a live person, who said I reached the wrong dept. and transferred me to another number, who said I was in the wrong dept. again and transferred me back to the original dept.! The funny thing is, at the verizon store, the store employee was put on hold and transfeered a few times also. Finally, buildings. I recently purchased a washer and dryer. I measured from wall to wall, it was 54" across. I found a washer and dryer that was 54" across. I knew it was going to be a tight squeze, btu didn't how tight of one. When the store delivered them, the dryer didn't fit! So I came home from work and the apt. manager said we could take down the door molding. Well, the dryer still wouldn't go in. I took the moldings off the floor, and the dryer barely went in, but not far enough. So the apt. manager comes down and says we should remove the tub access, gave us more room but not enough. So we removed the floor molding off the other side. And barely the fit, but fit, but we didnt' plug the dryer in, doh. So the apt. manager gets it and the dryer vent in it's place. And one final thing, since we didn't have patio or storage area anymore, I placed my sisters bike behind a shrub. Last night someone stole it. She hasn't ridden it for a while, but someone got a rusty bike. We are getting a storage unit soon. PS. My Virus scanner just went off....just kidding previous posters dad.

FYI: that sign is for the old ride that was in LoCoSuMo before it was put in. If you look, you can see the track bed for the old powered dark ride. -
First off, due to all the water in the past two months (over 15 inches) the ground water table is higher than normal, which resulted in the infield tunnel being flooded since June. Some non racing photos. The race was pretty good, it was dusty, but hey, it is a dirt track. Dave Darland qualified first and never looked back leading most, if not all, of the laps. Some Victory lane pictures

As for blocking fo first row, I don't know, but I know the white trains padding on Hurricane SUCKS! It is not this soft leather padding, it is hard plastic molded seat that is not nice to wider people (I am not that wide but I hated my ride in June). As for Cornball, I sure hope it was just a bad day because Cornball kicked my a$$ and I loved it. -
BREAKING NEWS - New Orleans River Spill.
spaceace12 replied to The Alex's topic in Random, Random, Random
To the oil traders (or traitors ) this will probably cause the price of oil and gas to jump, all it takes is a small leak that is leaking no oil for them to jump the price of oil which causes a almost immediate jump in gas prices even though it takes months for those prices to reach the market. -

About Splash Battle being closed, doesn't surprise me. I rode it during the GOCC coaster event and it was only open during ERT during the 2 days I was there. The new management has been strange on ride openings when I have been there. While I disagree with the sky ride colors (liked the old ones) Galaxi looks really nice. And finally, the funnel cake booth. The area where steel hawg is used to be paid parking, where paid parking is now used to be free parking. Paid parking was also under the Hurricane. So to fill up the area up to Steel Hawg, the new management put in games and food booths to fill the area. I bet later they will have more rides in this are also. -
So based on 300miles. if the gas model gets 30 mpg, at 4 dollars a gallon, that is 40 dollars The TDI gets 40 mpg, at 5 dollars a gallon, that is 37.50. So you save 2.50 on 300 miles over gas. How much mroe is the TDI?

It is almost 5 a gallon here in Indiana also.

I can say without a doubt, it is riding better this year than last year. I rode it 15 times in 3 days (could have rode more but I can't reride it in any other seat than the front). I have had a awesome pitch black ride, no lights on except on lift and final brake run! They didn't have MCBR lights on at all first night of Holliwood Nights. That roof is nothing compared to the transformer and roofs or Screamin Eagle's que at SF St. Louis.

As soon as I get comfortable enough on them, I am getting a Harley Sportster. I like the way they feel while sitting in a garage and how narrow they are. I just don't want one right away because if I get it and lay it down and scrape it up, I would get mad at myself.

Though I want a Vibe next year, after my car is paid off, one thing I know I will be getting is a motorcycle next year. I might be getting one very similiar to this one Since I have never ridden before, I am trying to take a motorcycle riding class this fall at the local college and then next spring I will hopefully buy that one .

I know of a person who goes to my church, she is 18, she rode coasters until she was 16. At that point, while playing a sport, her ailment appeared out of nowhere. She had no idea she had it. -
What would rides be like on the moon?

My County/city has two Supercenters. The old one built about 10 years ago, it is blue. The new one, which is bigger, is also blue. The closest one to where I live is actually in the next city north and is a non supercenter. I been into the old one at 2am once, I prefer not to relive that expierence. It seems all the hunchbacks, so to speak, all work at night.

Boo Walmart, they are competition to my p/t job. Luckily, it has a great customer base and great meat, so when it opened up a couple years ago, it only affected us a little. I admit, I shop at Walmart also. I need to get a dvd/video tape recorder since I don't have any dvd player right now.

SFNO/Jazzland Discussion Thread

LEvees keep the water from coming in, what about water that is falling in from the sky? How are they going to get it out? I know you are 14, but don't believe everything you read on the internet. -
SFNO/Jazzland Discussion Thread
spaceace12 replied to SharkTums's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
What has changed, besides being incorperated, since all this started? Do they own anything yet? Are they still hiding behind the non-disclosure agreement? Nothing seems changed on the website except the graphics looks. Again, I am going back to my original problems with this proposal. A. Jazzland didn't make it, SFNO didn't have a chance to make it. The population of New Orleans (the last I heard) is no where near what it was, so how is less of a population going to support a bigger park. B. They are using the same site, with the same problems as before, if another hurricane comes through, it will be flooded again. I don't believe anything coming from this group/corperation until I see photos of construction, news articles, and press releases stating it is official.
