THRILL POINT LA [RCT2]

MUCH sexier. I'm loving the building flythrough/tunnel into the overbank. -

And now I'm wondering why BG:TR never made the front page. This is the first time I've seen anything about it and I am impressed! Dueling sit down with inverted and a launched lift? If Vekoma got the bugs worked out, this could be the attraction of 2010! My only real gripe is that it probabbly wont have the counterweight system Dueling Dragons/Harry Potter coaster#1 has with the changing lift speed that made sure each dispatch was a perfect duel. It would be epic if Vekoma tried to copy that, but with a launched lift, it might be a little too complex to try. -
Kings Island (KI) Discussion Thread
Reon replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
At first I was a bit torn on the issue. Sure, its a horrible ride that has little to no fun factor, but if you could take the pain and find the "good" seats, it had some redeeming qualities. Plus it's KI's legacy project and remains a record breaker, something that CF probabbly doesn't want to lose. Anyways, I think what I'm trying to say is I can't wait for the worlds largest bonfire -

So...beautiful... I think the best part of the ride is that it'll be so photogenic. LSHoF was insanely epic to photograph, and this thing will provide even better views. Well, that and LSHoF itself was epic, so this should be just as good ride-wise (if not better) -
Holiday World (HW) Discussion Thread

As long as the timberliners don't kill the airtime, I'll be happy. Voyage is one of my top woods, and I'd hate for it to get ruined just because the new trains increased stapling or something... -
There was still a vortex tunnel in the schoolhouse in Frontiertown on Saturday. Did they take it out on Sunday, or were you talking about a different location?

How was Happy Jack's? It was the only house I didn't have time for when I went up on Halloween. Anyways, I can't agree with you more (except that I didn't like Estate. Club Blood was probabbly the best house and the Pirate walk through was the best haunt overall) Demon Drop will be missed

Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread
Reon replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I am greatly saddened by this news. Demon Drop was one of my to-do list things for whenever I go up to the Point. I'm gonna miss it next year, though I guess that frees up time for more re-rides on Blue Streak and Maverick -
Going to Knoebel's Phall Phunfest This Weekend?
Reon replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Why did it have to be this week? The most looked forward to event of the year for me, the time I can go back to my Phoenix, and I'm stuck being staff at some anime convention -
Ohio State Theme Park Engineering Group
Reon replied to DLDude's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Awesome group! I'm at Bowling Green now, and apparently a good majority of my fellow students pay more attention to OSU then our own school.... -
I went to the midnight showing, and all I have to say is AMAZING! Zombieland is probabbly taking its place in my favorite movies of all time list. I'm only scared that GP will try to immitate some of the theme park stunts.

[RCT3]Phoenix
Reon replied to KevinCoasterTycoon3's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
I clicked on this thread expecting a recreation of the best coaster ever. I am dissapoint. Still, pretty awesome ride. It looks really reallistic, and the integration of a midway makes it look really nice asthetically. The only thing that would make it better is if it was an epic woodie. -
The "Preview" Thread

^No its the actual ride. They bought it from Six Flags and is using some unknown secret technoledgy to take real world objects into cyberspace. -

Well, I just meant its not as easily recognized as other parks. I'm not saying its bad or anything.... -

Awesome old school minigolf! Do they seriously rent out cats? -
Wild Adventures Discussion Thread
Reon replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Not enough zombies=fail Anyways, its always good to see a park that hasn't got to much to get a decent sized update. I've never been down to Wild Adventures, but I probabbly will go sometime if I'm ever travelling down that way. -
Kentucky Kingdom (SFKK, KK) Discussion Thread
Reon replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I probabbly make the trip down there once a year for Greased Lightning and Road Runner. I don't really think theres much else to the park now that Chang and Chaos are gone. All I'm gonna say is that if they go GL on us, I'm starting a campaign to get Lightning or Road Runner at Coney. Both of them would be awesome classic options for the park, and I've constantly been suggesting a mouse to my good friends in management. -
.....and Jizz Man I'm thinking about dropping by Cincy one weekend for the haunt, but I don't know if it would be worth it. I've seen different sides of the story for it being included on my Platinum pass, and I don't want to spend money to get into my homepark if CP lets me in to their haunt for free.

Just to go on the record, I would totally ride GASM right now. Best splashdowns ever? Anyways, that alot of water, but it doesn't look TOO deep. For the most part, it just covers the base of most hills, and you can see it goes a good halfway up the slides in the kids area. Not too bad flood wise, but I still doubt they'd be open this weekend. Then again, this is coming from the guy who works at a park riddled with a history of floods, so...

Well, its almost the offseason, and you know what that means: Time to actually post my various Photo TR's of the year...Welcome to Reon's Really Radical Random Rollercoaster Ride Roadshow (RRRRRRR)! I'm not going to post any trips yet since I'm still deciding when to post what, but heres a look into the future: Parks Visited this year: *Kings Island *Coney Island *Holiday World *Indiana Beach *Strickers Grove *Cedar Point *Six Flags St. Louis Special Guests: *Ted Adams (tgadams) *Zach Booth (PKI ManJZ) *Tim Brennan (sir not appearing on this site) *Alex Ray (Also not cool enough to be on TPR) *Big Mike And thats just the tip of the iceburg! Of course the season's not quite over yet. If I can, I'd like to get in a trip to Waldameer before the season's up, and maybe more trips to CP and finding a few smaller parks/family fun centers in the surrounding area (Read: Bowling Green Ohio) If your in the BG/Sandusky/Toledo area, or just want to be a guest anyways, let me know on this thread or through pm. Hopefully I should have up my first TR soon, so keep watching!
