[NL] Woodland Runner
Loefet replied to Loefet's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
^ The entrance was pretty dificult to get perfectly smooth, since I was forced to use Rel-Roll on the twist (due to the angle) and getting the the transition to Rel-Roll is hard. But you don't really notice it in the simulator so I don't really care about it though. Thanks to the rest of the comments!! -

There are buses from Seoul out to Everland. They are however expanding the subway network, building new railway-lines etc. so in the public transport system will be a lot better in the future. You could try and contact Gavin who is a member here on TPR, but who spends most of his time over at CoasterForce, who have done exactly what you are going to do and have visited many of the parks in South Korea and the rest of southeast Asia.

Thrill Point Park [RCT2]

The Japanese letters can be read in many ways, and the letter for dragon can be read as "Tatsu" or "Ryu". So both are correct. -

Track Spotted in SO CAL
Loefet replied to mushrumjaz's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
It may be a track that is heading for the Mummy at Universal Studios Singapore, that's the only coaster that uses that kind of track that you describe. -

It fails E-stop test, so you need to fix that. -
[NL] Blazing Glory

Because it looks almost as good as a coaster built using Force Vector Design. Nice handbuilding! Still a tool build according to me, since he don't make everything by hand... -

Those are brakes, you can see the pneumatic cylinders to lower them in the track. They are doing a pull-through to check clearances of the mechanical aspects of the train and track. Intamin always do this with 2 cars, and when they start the testing then they will run a full train. -

Suspension on a roller coaster train?
Loefet replied to Mechanic's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^ They are for keeping the wheels on the track. The type of coaster that have "suspension" on their cars are the suspended ones (only damping of the swinging motion) and the new S&S Free Fly have air-suspension to give a smoother ride. -
^^ There are several coasters that are pushing -1.5 g's over some hills and down first drops. T-Express is one of them. Lateral g's on the other hand then there is really only one contender that I'm aware of, Space 2000 at Gyeongju World pulls around 4 g's!! in the entrances into it's corkscrews.

SeaWorld Orlando (SWO) Discussion Thread
Loefet replied to disneygurlz2s's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^ I'm pretty sure that they only did that to check the clearances of the magnetic brakes and not checking the whole layout like Intamin do. -

Loefet replied to disneygurlz2s's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^^ It's mainly Intamin that do a pull through, and they do it to check the clearances of the wheels and other mechanical aspects, and not really the "reach" so that nothing will hit the riders. B&M usually just start testing the ride. I have to say that those trains looks really slick. -
Tele2 Insane, Intamin ZacSpin for Gröna Lund
Loefet replied to Loefet's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Gröna Lund is very keen to fill up all seats on all rides at all time. So single rider isn't really a problem, however they should really have a single rider queue to speed up the loading. I have for instance skipped a 30+ minute line on the free-fall tower (tilt side) just because there were 3 in that car (I just got in that line as they called it out).
