  1. ^ You just have to ride the lift and slide on the rapids at Legoland Billund instead Can't wait to go to Bobbejaanland next weekend, and all your great images just made the wait worse...
  2. Handles on a bike/motorcycle...
  3. I got 25+ rides on EF thanks to the 2 TPR trips to Everland, so I know how it rides. The speed of the train at those places aren't as bad really just the swinging. But as I interpenetrated the information that came through R&E from the manager then it's not those parts that are the main concern, it's earlier in the ride on the fast bends that are the main trouble spots. Slowing down the ride so that it ran at design speed (instead of 20+ mph too fast) would be the easy and quick solution, but then the ride wouldn't be as good and it will drop in the rankings (just as Thundercoaster at Tusenfryd now is a weak woodie after the GCI "improovements").
  4. I don't think you can assume that EF is experiencing the same kind of wear and tear as the Bat, since there have been a lot of improvements made since the initial design of the suspended coaster. But it still pretty bad compared to other rides. If it had been as bad as the Bat then they would have removed it a long time ago...
  5. About S&S Prototypes... How reliable have Steel Hawg been? I haven't heard anything about it since it opened.
  6. ^^^^ By the reply I got from the "Crane" then it's on track for completion so that it will be ready when the park opens on the 30:th this month, so unless some giant problem occurs then it should be running when you go there, we will try and head up there in early June and make a report of the ride. I have asked them about the height restriction because of my 4 year old nephew (that will be joining us when we meet you), and the reply I got was that S&S recommend a limit of 110 cm (43.3"), but when they are testing it it may get another limit for safety reasons... So it looks like Kristen and our nephew (unless he grow 2 inches since I last met him a couple of weeks ago) won't be allowed to ride ^^^ Yeah it just "flew" up ^^ ROFL!!
  7. Giant update today: The themeing of the cars is underway, the track is now done and work is underway to complete the station, controls and surroundings. And at the moment at least then they are on schedule to have the ride done for the opening of Skara Sommarland. Looks really ace!! Can't wait until I get to ride it, looks really open. Completed track. Station is under way. These and more pictures are available at: http://www.sommarland.se/trananblog/?p=152 http://www.sommarland.se/trananblog/?p=160 http://www.sommarland.se/trananblog/?p=169
  8. Wonder if they will do a makeover of Big-Loop and Limit while they are at it? Because this looks so much better then before.
  9. A removable "eye" on some kind of trailer, container, etc. SO you can hook it up to something.
  10. ^^ I have to say that that is a good rule, but should also have included AHG, since this is an NoLimits coaster competition and not a NoLimits tools competition. And using tools to create the tracks don't show the skills of constructing coaster in NoLimits. Oh and by the way, I don't use any other program then NoLimits to create my coasters and I can easy whip together a good smooth coaster without much hassle.
  11. ^ New track system and new trains (4 wide) so we can only hope that they would be smoother as well.
  12. ^^ It have been known for some time now that it will be a Vekoma dueler with one side sit-down and one invert. Not Dragons but Battlestar Galactica.
  13. ^^ Yes there are: From that Photostream... I think that this might be a good one.
  14. Looks like you have a bad sector on your hard drive, run a Check-disk or other diagnostics tool on the drive to see if there are any damaged sectors. If you have then there is a few programs to fix those kind of things, but don't hope too much on them. The reason why you get the same error message every time is that you try and read the files from the same physical location on the drive (Could also be that Scream Machines are accessing a file that have something to do with Windows that is located on that bad sector). Do you have any other partitions on your hard drive (or other drives)? try and install it on them instead and see if you still got the same result. You might have to think about replacing the disk in the near future so you don't run the chance of loosing your data.
  15. Finished of the layout just now. Added a couple of pre-fab supports to see if the colour looks OK, which I have to say that it does.
  16. Drop of the MCBR. New section under construction, just tweaking the banking's left.
  17. Completely average, 10/20.
  18. Changed the cobra roll on the B&M invert I'm working on.
  19. ^ There was an article in the local paper (GP) stating that the planning have begun again, but don't expect anything there next year, my money would be on some new ride (possibly a coaster) on top of the mountain since there is a lot of space up there now when Kulingen is gone. Also in that article in GP they said that they also were interested in the building behind Balder (that were a Saab gearbox factory) that now is empty, if those plans get a go ahead then Liseberg can grow a lot. With space for some big coasters and rides. Link: http://www.gp.se/gp/jsp/Crosslink.jsp?d=113&a=488836
  20. Press day report: So my brother were at the press launch of Liseberg's newest coaster, Rabalder, and flat-ride, Hang-Hai, yesterday, and here are some images from the event. Obligatory entrance shot. Green bunnies!! OMG new credit!! YAY for Rabalder, it's like Balder with ra in front of it... Entrance. Oh and the Swedish national women's soccer team were there One for the lift-hill freaks. With train!! POV. More hot Swedish chicks!! OMG, it's going to crash... Time for the second lap. Now observe this bunny in it's natural environment... Bunnies on a coaster!! The Liseberg bunnies does the, see no evil, say no evil, hear no evil impression Looks like they like their new ride. This will probably be the last time this sign will say 00.00 This image makes me wish I was in Japan, mmm Sakura Mmmmm Lisebergbanan Awesome Schwarzkopf helix Flume Ride is testing New ride #2 This one supposedly crushes your guts. Looks nice though Yay Balder!! Why did you walk over here?? It was Open!! Kanonen as well!! AND Lisebergbanan!! Some final images of Rabalder!! Can't wait to ride it in a few days!! So this concludes this report, I got my brother to ask about the 2010 project but the answers he got were very vague, so I guess we have to wait and see. I really looking forward to go there in about a week, so expect a TR by then.
  21. That thing looks really rough.
  22. ^ He might have done that on the way back, but I guess that it's much safer in the track rather then on it. Oh and another car have just stalled on the same location, I think that they might have to remove one trim to get it working better.
  23. One car stalled today again during testing... And instead of getting a crane to hoist a man basket to the car, they had an employee to crawl out through the track
  24. A picture of a model of the cars have been released. The seat pods will hang between the wings and the tail plane. The themeing will be done in Sweden, since it's easier and cheaper that way. From: http://www.sommarland.se/trananblog/?p=130
  25. Looks like Walygator Parc was the park that got it: http://www.screamscape.com/html/small_international_parks.htm#Walygator Opens in 2010.
