Does anyone know what is going on with Rhino Rally? It's off the park map and its completely blocked off. Screamscape says that it is "under refurbishment" but I have my doubts.
Even if it is better than we were led to believe, I am not sure if I'd say it is the best floorless out there. It is the one with the best view without question.
This. For a park that has year round operations, a train will has to be taken out at some point for rehab. If they only have two trains, that would leave only leave one left on the ride.
As sad as it is to lose classic coasters (though I'm not sure either of these are of any historic significance) steel structures definitely have a limit to their useful life. This is especially true for cyclic loading since it causes fatigue issues. Without extensive maintenance, these structure can't SAFELY be used indefinitely.
Most of the innovation in the industry has been with raft slides, is it harder to innovate on body slides? Do you have any exciting new technologies coming for them?
Why would it be the us, none of the "great" predictors were from the us. I just bought a calendar, it goes to December of 2013, therefore the world will end next December.
