Carlsbad Gardens [RCT2]
the ghost replied to SoCalCoasters's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
The park looks ok, but I would almost suggest not doing a storyline, cause thats a TERRIBLE storyline. Why would legoland California be in competition with legoland florida? Thats just stupid! Sorry, but think before you post. The park looks okay, but I dont like the B&M supports you'v got, but the layout is fun. Also I dont like the topspin much. Everything else looks nice though! -

Lol, I was gonna get a premium pass, but then I became a Cast Member, so I have a deluxe pass with a 20% discount. -

I am also an ex universal pass holder now that I am busier with school. I will post my pass picture tomorrow, but I look kind of like the joker.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lo41JnISVgM&feature=pyv&ad=5460757675&kw=world%20of%20colors Disneys thinking outside the box in advertising worlds of color. This is actually a pretty neat concept IMO as the projections are beautifully high depth and the building is large. I cant figure out how to embed the video, but theres the lonk if anyone wants to see it or if the mods want to embed it. BTW WE NEED TO DO A DLR RESORT MEET UP SOMETIME! ANYONE ELSE INTERESTED? I really want to meet other disneyish TPR people. Im only off two days a week, but it must happen sometime. SO CAL CREW...ASSEMBLE! *conch shell blows*

La Ronde Discussion Thread

Two Boomerangs having problems pretty recently... how strange. Also I do think it is kind of harsh that the kid is not allowed at the park at all anymore, but this proves it is kind of all about guest service because that is why the mother was angry. It seems like the kid should have gotten more than VIP passes also since he is alive soley based on luck and physics. This is not doing much for Vekoma with their battlestar issues, Trimpers, as well as this. All 3 pretty serious accidents(did the seat really fall off battlestar during testing, or was that rumor) and although no one has been killed Vekoma is pretty lucky right now, but unlucky at the same time, because reliability must be dropping pretty fast. -
I would be very nervous, but I love Del Torro. Pans Labrynth is one of my favorite movies, and is one of the few that has a very happy/sad ending that gets me every time. Also I really liked Hell boy two, and I love all Del Torros "creatures" so I cant wait to see this. Also the hatbox ghost is a badass.

Griffin's Plethora of Photos!
the ghost replied to GriffyTiffy's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Awesome! I love skyscrapers, they are probably my second favorite flat ever at my local fair besides the AMAZING ARM tower. You seemed to get some MAJOR awesome hangtime. That looked awesome! -
2011 Theme Park Review Trip Deposits!
the ghost replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Northeast or Cedar Point is possibly in the works for me. I have the money, but I dont know if my parents will let me spend it all since I am now paying for gas and part of my insurance, also I have college coming up pretty quick. All this trip REALLY depends on is if I get Disneyland part time hire, because as of now I am only a seasonal employee. Just wondering, how long after the deposits are due is the full price actually due? I have no problem putting down a deposit, but I will figure out if I can actually go based on wether I have a year round, part time job, which I will fgure out sometime in October. -

Everyone ready to get jealous? I went to the tortilla factory a few weeks ago, it was like a week or so after worlds of color opened. I got a FLOUR TORTILLA! I swear to god! THe line was going out the door, but it was AWESOME. Tortillas+Aviator Chicken Sandwich+Smoozies Mocha=WIN! -
Dark Ride Layouts?
the ghost replied to Intimidator305's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Even indoor coaster/dark ride hybrids are getting awesome. Floridas mummy(the only mummy ive been on) is in my top ten because of how cool and immersive it is not only as a dark ride, but also as a coaster. Also, even rides like Thunder Mountain and Matterhorn, although they are not dark rides, are almost if not as immersive as and dark ride I have ever seen. I REALLY like the jungle cruise though, that is one of my favorite things because it feels so real becasue you are outside and all the plants are real. Had just the jungle cruise been there, no disneyland, people would believe they were in a real jungle simply because of how realistic the whole thing is. Of course, that is rather unrealistic for most parks wo cant devote large spaces to plant life, but it makes the experience that much more unique. -
Most disturbing movie you've ever seen?
the ghost replied to Sasquatch's topic in Random, Random, Random
I have seen most of clockwork orange, but I found Requium a little more disturbing because it felt more realistic and most of the stuff was self inflicted as opposed to murders. I had major trouble with the orgy scene where Jennifer Conoly needs to have sex with the other women to get her heroine. Also, the entire downward spiral of ever character was depressing and disturbing, which I did not feel as much in clockwork. Also a lot of precious is VERY hard to watch, particularly the scenes involving monique and prescious, particularly when monique SPOILER ALERT VERY powerful films, both very depressing, both very good. -
Underneath, My New Progressive House Track! (Page 2)

Awesome. From now on your nickname is MAU5 JR. -
I'm 19, single, and a virgin. I am not saying there is anything wrong with any of those things, but a lot of my friends who are my age are younger are moving much faster than me, have had multiple girlfriends, and are not virgins. I was talking to one of my friends yesterday whose SIXTEEN, and he's not even a virgin. I am just so awkward around girls when I like them, which sucks cause I am outgoing in almost every other way. Oh well... mabe this will be my year. If not theres always porn...coaster porn, that is!

Sorry for the double post, but this is a different point entirely! Requium for a Dream . WOW! What a film. The premise was amazing and felt real. Acting was done well by everyone and Ellen Burstyn was absolutley amazing. This film should be shown in health classes despite its graphic content, it is a disturbing look into what drugs do and is compelling and beautiful in an eerily artistic way! 10/10... Absolutely stunning! The most dark, disrurbing, yet completely life changing film I have ever seen. Watch this movie and be ready for wat it will do to you emotionally. WOW! Awesome film!

I still have a little faith in M. Night. VERY LITTLE, but its there. He is very creative, but his ideas are just too weird. However, I LOVED sixth sense, as did tons of other people. I'll wait for this ones reviews, but this seems a little better than his other ideas already.

Over The Shoulder Restraints. (OTSRs)
the ghost replied to Movieguy's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
YES! That would be a good 50th birthday present, our at least part of one. I know they can't justify the expense of doing that but if I had another million dollars I would totally pay for the conversion and the removal of the trims, it would totally be worth it! Yes... but then park managment will have to come up with a new "April Fools Joke" at West Coast Bash next year. -
Club TPR Day - Efteling (07-04-2010)
the ghost replied to Beeja's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Awesome TR! I love GCI! Terminator is the only one I have been on, and although it is not my #1 it is high on my list simply because it is VERY fun and VERY smooth, and the pops of air throughot are a great touch! -
This thread makes me excited that I just might get to do northeast next year. Also, I cant say much about some people being dissapointed as I have never been on an official trip, but I was absolutely BLOWN AWAY with West Coast Bash! It was amazing, and everyone was welcoming and was there to have a kick ass time. My friends went with me and although they love coasters, they ae not enthusiasts and had an AMAZING time. Moral of the story quit your bitching people! TPR is the largest coaster site, the trips are the biggest and the best. They are not asking people to go on trips with them, but merely sending an invitation and trying to offer the best time possible considering it is their vacation as well as yours, yet unlike you they are working VERY hard at making sure a good tome is had by all. I dont know for sure when I will be able to go on a trip, but I will be joining club TPR within the week and will be happily looking forward to my future with the awesome TPR family. This site is(somewhat sadly in a nerdy way) part of my life, and I cant wait to contribute/experience in the fun for years to come.

Over The Shoulder Restraints. (OTSRs)
the ghost replied to Movieguy's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^ Not to mention the security aspect of it. I know tons of people who wont ride Monte cause they think they will fall out. Due to the fact that the average member of the GP does not know much about roller coasters besides some are steel, some are wooden, and some coasters go upside down. I think OTSRs are now senonymous with steel inverting roller coasters in most peoples eyes. -
Inception was awesome! Also, on this whole pixar dreamworks pixar thing I am very happy they are getting better. IMO Sharktale was one of the worst movies ever, I just hated the entire concept and it just seemed kind of like it had been done, it almost felt like Frankenstein because he was misunderstood, but they took all the substance out of the story. All of this aside I did LOVE Kung Fu Panda, I thought it was great and original, glad to see this is becoming a trend. Also, I know it is a LONG TIME from now, but am I the only one looking forward to Monsters inc 2? People were moaning there was going to be a sequel, but the monsters using laughter and screams to power a city was EXTREMELY original, such a good story. Also the interaction with Sully and Boo is awesome throughout, and in the final scene of monsters inc(If I remember right) he opens boos door and thats where it ends, hinting at a sequel. I dont know exactly what it will be about, but never doubt pixar...EVER!
