  2. I haven't experienced it, but back in 05, all of GAM lost power. I think I remember reading that V2's lim's got fried when the power came back, and that is why it was closed for a while.(including the 2005 TPR trip)
  3. This coaster looks great, and hopefully more coasters similar to this will be built. I really like the rocket coasters with strange layouts like this, but I thought there would be few of the faster rockets built after KK. The theme of this coaster is great, and the only thing that I'm not sure about are the trains.
  4. What a bunch of idiots, and what were they doing out that late? Now, those who were fighting will probably sue the park and police department for excessive force.
  5. ^is one of few V thinks B&Ms are the best
  6. ^Better look out for Julie. Wow, I'm finally in the top 200 posters.
  7. Article from www.woai.com http://www.woai.com/mostpopular/story.aspx?content_id=13c1f44a-6275-4bab-ad52-9df900772808 The media always seems to attack amusement parks every year, and there is little chance that the rides listed caused the injuries. Instead, stupidity and just some bodies not being able to handle the ride resulted in the injuries.
  8. I love classic parks, and I'm sad that CLP is closing However from a business sense, it won't change the area much. Keep in mind I've never been to CLP, so I can't tell any stories from my visits, but if a park say when Kiddieland(due to close in 09) closes, I'll be saying the same thing you are. Kiddieland is not a great park, but it is a nice family owned park.
  9. ^^It is significant for a park to be open for 115 years, but in an area like where CLP is located, there are better parks in the area. The only thing the park seemed to have was Blue Streak, and sadly, it has a good chance of meeting the wrecking ball now. I'm sure CLP was a great park at one point, but over the last few year, it seems to have gone downhill. ^Just Kennywood is nearby? Sorry, I thought there were some more historical parks nearby.
  10. Eh, It was only a matter of time. While it is sad to see a park go, this is no real loss, and the park didn't seem that great in the first place. Now, before the locals to CLP get upset with me...well I have no reason for them not to be. I know the community wanted to save the park, but a park like CLP can't compete with other historical parks that are just a relatively short distance away.

  12. Only to Jeff Johnson Do you count powered coasters as credits?
  13. Yes it can, a jiffy is 1/100 of a second. Wow, I really need help if I know that.
  14. I don't see what is strange about the sign. Most newer launched coasters (to my knowledge) have signs like that, but I'm not really sure what the point of it is. My only guess is to keep the people on the ride or in line from thinking that the ride broke or something like that. The no earrings rule is just a standard on coasters no, so there is nothing strange with that either.
  15. Wow, for a fire that bad, I find it amazing that no one was killed. I can't even imagine how terrified the riders were as what was supposed to be fun turned into a fight for their lives.
  16. This coaster looks amazing, and it can easily be the #1 wood coaster. Even though it is a near clone of Balder, the taller drop and additional large airtime hills should be enough to put it ahead of the pre-fabricated wooden coasters.
  17. Nope, no, nein, and nada One hint, Robb and Elissa have ridden it.
  18. Great photos, and Griffin is one of the most photogenic coasters , and Expedition Geforce is the only steel coaster that looks better. While I'm not sure that this was worth an eight year wait, especially for BGE, it is great that the park has another world class coaster in its lineup.
  19. ^Cause the former Marriott parks look bad now? Keep in mind that they looked clean because they were new, if they were corporate owned, the companies were a lot smaller. The parks also catered to families, and the parks kept them family friendly by keeping the parks clean.
