  1. ^Hey, didn't Joyland close though, but looking back, Wild West World seemed like a success when I wrote that. Yeah, it makes me laugh reading that because Wild West World probably holds the record for the shortest time in business for a park.
  2. Well if someone is at the park for their yearly trip, they will pay the fee because they have been looking to the trip for a while. If they pay the $50 to enter, $15 to park, $10 for lunch, and $2 for a locker, they won't complain. While it is inconvenient for season pass holders, the GP probably won't think much about it. Here is an idea, leave your stuff in the car, or if you must bring stuff in, I'm sure there are lockers you can rent for longer times elsewhere in the park, so rent one of those. Basically, the GP won't care, and it only costs two damn dollars, so it is just a small price compared to other things in the park. As Robb said, amusement parks are an expensive form of entertainment(usually), and you have to expect to pay a lot when you visit one.
  3. Because the person who created the door wanted you to do extra work before you could enter Why is gas expensive?
  4. Six years ago today, the long closed coasters at Idora park were demolished.
  5. Nice photos and TR, and Europa Park looks like an amazing park. I just find it amazing that they have the collection of coasters they do, but none feature inversions. It basically seems to be one giant family park, and the only major thrill ride seems to be Silver Star.
  6. ^Disney World is not a park, but a complex of parks and entertainment venues Dunia Fantasi
  7. Great concept, but how the hell did they plan to build it for 17 million. They didn't even build the entire concept, and they already spent 30 million, so I would like to know who came up with the finances for the park. It is sad that the park closed, and I'm sure if it remained open, then the other attractions that were not built would have been added in the following years. The park seemed to have a decent selection of flats, but the weather doomed the park from opening day.
  8. Only my sanity Will you answer this question with a yes?
  9. ^Well at least you don't have to pay $5 for a glass of water. Also, didn't a monsoon cause a small flood in Vegas a few weeks ago, or am I thinking of some other city?
  10. Very nice so far, but there should be more trees added between the rides since the park right now seems empty. I know more rides will be added later, but in areas whee a ride would be unable to fit could use some more plant life. As said above, place fences, benches, and lamps along since they make the guests happy as well as giving the park a more realistic look.
  11. The only expansion pack is Soaked: Soaked However, the same cheats for windows also work for MAC.
  12. ^Sorry, but it seemed like they had that when I rode Batman. Whenever someone would leave something or pick something up, he seemed to look at what us left/taken. Oh well, I still don't see what is wrong with people leaving their stuff in the station though. SFSTL is like you said a very trustworthy park, and unlike other parks, I don't have to worry about people taking my stuff when I'm there. Airtime-SFSTL has the best guests of any park I've visited-&Gravity
  13. The SOX actually swept a double header...now only if they played like that all season.
  14. Mine is a cropped photo of an airtime hill on Avalanche that I took last year. photo by TPR The hill is the first(smaller) one.
  15. ^Joey...other Joey...is probably thinking the same thing Nice photos, and this park seems relatively unknown, but it appears to have a decent selection of rides. While the area it is in seems to be cavernous, it is amazing how the rides are placed so close to one another, almost like Jersey shore parks, and Mindbender looks like a really intense coaster.
  16. For you Disney fans: "I could never convince the financiers that Disneyland was feasible because dreams offer too little collateral"-Walt Disney
