  1. I've finally ridden Giant Drop for the first time, and it is my favorite ride at any park.
  2. Radio Player-Allister
  3. There are several parks that should get new coasters: Moreys Piers-maybe a small launched coaster like Lagoon IOA-Maybe a woodie SFOT-B&M flyer SFFT-coaster for 07 SFSTL-coaster for 07 Adventureland(Iowa) PKI-B&M invert SFGAM-a large looper to replace Shockwave Mt. Olympus-no rerideable coaster since Zeus SFKK-anything will be good Great Escape-maybe a wild mouse
  4. ^Like that'll happen Elissa-Yay, Jeff Johnson credit Robb-Gold!
  5. I have a book on Riverview, and the reason it is ranked so high is because of the coaster's layout, riders thought they were going 90mph even though the coaster only went about 35 mph.
  6. Cyclone at Lakeside is awsome. The ride from the front seat gave me the most insane moment of air time ever. The rest or the ride is filled with air time, and the slanted track, while strange, was a lot of fun. Also the old school restraints add to the thrill.
  7. Love this family guy clip: http://youtube.com/watch?v=0gmoXlNdElM
  8. Whizzer, the same coaster I started the season with. Whizzer!
  9. Since my home park is SFGAM, I'd have to say Viper. This is the only ride at the park that doesn't get old, and it's the only coaster that gives air time on every ride.
  10. Like 457 on this board, I'm straight
  11. Wow, this is really pathetic if this is what people would sue over. I'd like to know how tag could result in a lawsuit, and why other things aren't banned instead of tag. We could see a ban on almost anything if tag can be banned. Airtime-it's sad what the world is coming to-&Gravity
  12. The only bad part about this ride is that it is a clone of the other one being built, but hopefully Intamin can create some awsome custom ones soon. As for the park building this, it should make a good addition, but the ride is to short to make a name for the park with so many other parks in the area, but who knows, maybe this will give Port Aventura/Warner Brothers Movie World some competition.
  13. I don't know what to think of this ride. I've heard decent reviews about Skyhawk, but these rides are cloned way to much. If they want this to be a family ride, then it is a great move, but if they want a thrill ride, then I think that they should have gone with a Sky Swat.
  14. The only park I've seen one train operation on several coasters was at was SFKK, and the only coaster it showed on was the wild mouse. They were seriously only running one train. All the coasters while only running one train still moved the line along quickly, and even Chang only had a 30 minute wait. It really depends on the park and time of the year. If you go to SFMM, there is only one train operation because the ride ops suck, but on the other hand, if it isn't peak season, then the park has no need to run more than one train.
  15. I think it really depends on the park. Cedar Pint is huge, but it uses its land well, but SFSTL on the other hand, while a nice park, is layed out in such a horendus way, that it will drive anyone insane. I'll have to agree though, Mt. Olympus is layed out poorly, but it doesn't come close to SFKK.
  16. Monday is a terrible way to spend 1/7 of your life.
  17. Hopefully Blackstone can turn this park around since it didn't sound that good on the europe trip. The company sounds like they have some good ideas for the park, so hopefully they are actually built.
  18. Well they also say Jeff Johnson credits are coasters too. I'd probably count this one as a coaster since it runs on rails. It contains all the basic elements for a gravity powered coaster, and while it may be braked by the rider,it has coaster qualities.
  19. Quick, while he is in a diabetic coma let's throw him in the seven seas lagoon.
  20. Is it just me, or are the Journey to Atlantis rides getting worse? I'm sure the ride will be great, but they seem to have gone downhill in design and theming since the first one.
  21. Just once How many season passes have you had?
  22. You people have to remember that: 1. Alton can't build above trees. I guess they could build trenches like on Nemesis, but they decided not to. 2. Air was B&M's prototype flyer, so it won't be the best. 3. Air was built to be more of a family attraction. Air, while not as large as the later flyers looks like a quality ride. In fact, it looks better than S:UF, and unlike S:UF, there is no single element that the ride is about. I know some of you will argu that I've never ridden it so I don't really know it, but IMO Air seems to be an under rated ride that is over looked because of the larger flyers like S:UF/Tatsu.
