  1. Great job Z, and your park continues to get better with every update. Everything is well detailed and extremely realistic. The new coaster looks great, and having the billboard behind the loops is a nice touch.
  2. I've been following the progress of this park, and I hope it is a success. It is a huge deal in the area as there were billboards and brochures on the park. The rides look well themed, and I can't wait for 2009 when they open the wooden coaster. Does anyone know if a water park is being built/planned for this park since it is Kansas, and it can get really hot?
  3. Conneaut Lake-low attendence and large competition from nearby parks Joyland-Wild West World will be so popular Cypress Gardens-Well it is already bankrupt It is sad to see small family run parks close, but they have a hard time competing with the large corporate parks.
  4. ^ I read in a book that GCI uses a program called something like Intertrax. It is basically like no limits, but more complex, , and I know it was used for Lightning Racer.
  5. A lot of those stuck out since they control such a huge market in the area. Parks like Lagoon, Legoland, Knotts, Great Escape, and SFMM will not close. Even if say SFMM closed, then Knott's attendance would increase dramatically. The list made no sense, and a park isn't "crappy" just because it isn't a leader in attendance/cater to coaster enthusiasts.
  6. Even though it is small, I could easily see this being one of the best B&M hypers. The hills should have decent airtime, and it is nice to see a sit down B&M finally get an over banked turn. The layout looks great, and I'm interested in seeing how it will be themed.
  7. ^It is a water park/amusement park park. The rides were added around 200 when a nearby park closed. From photos I've seen, it looks like a "Let's put some rides in that field." kind of park. It is nice to see this park get a good spinning coaster and not one of those horrible Zamperla ones.
  8. ^I'd guess SFFT since it is basically the only park that seems to have a chance. Almost all other parks that would benefit from it have a B:TR or SLC. SFGADV-B:TR SFGAM-B:TR/V2/Deja vu SFNE-SLC SFDL-SLC SFA-SLC SFMm-B:TR/Deja vu SFoG-B:TR/Deja vu SFEG-SLC SFoT-B:TR SFDK-SLC SFM-SLC SFKK-SLC SFSTL-B:TR
  9. yeah Did you have to reread that statement?
  10. I wonder who will make the new trains. While it will probably be PTC, I could easily see them using trains from Intamin. As for the loop being removed, hopefully it is a good thing in that the trains won't have to be so heavy. While it may have been the best part of the ride, most of you that have ridden the coaster complain about it, so it can't make that big of a difference. Airtime-face it, wooden coasters weren't meant to have loops-&Gravity
  11. So are soldiers just going to walk along a road and spray silly string? It is a good idea since it is safe, but it just doesn't seem practical. I know I am missing something, so any members in the military please explain how this will be done.
  12. It is nice to see GG going with a traditional looking coaster instead of a record breaking modern wooden coaster.

  14. I can't begin to count how many times I've been asked why I love coasters. While I want to tell them "They are fun", that doesn't seem to be right. It is so much more than just fun. I love the atmosphere when I visit a park. Each park is different from Cedar Point on Lake Erie to SFKK and its razer wire covered brick walls. I love the rides and what they do. No place else can you find such a variety of ways to twist your body in ways you didn't know it could go. No place else can you scream or get soaked and not get in trouble by someone. Few places have such a vast amount of food, and even the healthiest people will probably be finding themselves eating a funnel cake. Whenever I ride a coaster, I overcome my fear of heights(strange huh), and I look for a ride that goes even higher. Every coaster is different, and I love everyone of them.(some more than others though)
  15. While I think this is a nice family ride, I kind of wanted it to be similar to Spinball Whizzer or Tarantula. While it will draw the 10 year old crowd, the theme is probably the worst I've seen in a while. Does anyone know if the one at SFSTL will be a clone of this?
  16. I was wondering when GG would build an all wood wooden coaster. The layout looks nice, and it is nice to see a major coaster being built at a little known park. The layout looks great, and with all the turns and hills, it would not surprise me to see this as a top 10 coaster.
