I really like the new sign, and it is a lot nicer than the old one from 1976. It looks really nice, and it is good that they finally got a real sign for Hurricane Harbor instead of just a tarp.

That park looks like...well like it's in Kansas. It looks decent, and hopefully it will look better in a few years since there doesn't seem to be much shade. In a few years I could see this as a nice park, but for an area with no parks, this is really good. -
How will this make people healthier? There would still be hundreds of fast food restaurants for people to eat at, and the overweight would continue to be overweight. I know that obesity(is that politically correct? ) is a problem, but this will do absolutely nothing.(except get rid of some competition)

Coasters can be torn down really quick, and in fact, I think Texas Cyclone was demolished in a day. I think it was a good move to get rid of these coasters since one was SBNO, and the other didn't seem to get many riders.(Unlike the good SF designed cyclone clone) Airtime-How did SF build two completely different coasters of the same design-&Gravity

Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread
Airtime&Gravity replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^Those slides scared me more than the coasters since I was not expecting the airtime. However, there was a person probably Robb's size get 2 feet off the slide.(no exaggeration, the person got far off of the slide) I was disappointed with Soak City in 2004, and while a Tornado will be great, I'd rather see something like what Holiday World has. However, anything for Soak City is great since I didn't think there was much when I went. -

My favorite rides: Tower-Giant Drop-nothing can compare to being dropped 200 feet without knowing when Dark-Pirates-All these years, and it is still a great ride Wood- Avalanche-My #1 coaster, and a coaster that, while small, has insane air time. Steel- Chang-An amazing coaster, and one that can't be missed if in the area.

Six Flags owners?
Airtime&Gravity replied to eskater132's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I know I'll be hated for this, but Shapiro is probably the best owner since SFSTL(the last real SF park). It is great to focus back on families, and maybe in five years, SF will start to rethink about thrill rides. SFGAM was awesome in 2006 because of what has happened under the new management, and I expect better things will come. -
How will banning McDonald's make people healthier? There are plenty of healthy people who eat at McDonald's, but it is those that eat there every day and don't exercise that are overweight. The government overstepped its power here, and like Elissa said, it will fail. On a side note, this reminds me of Clayton Missouri where there are no chain restaurants in the town or some of the neighboring towns.(Avoid at all costs on Midwest trip)

Which parks have changed the most?
Airtime&Gravity replied to AT0527's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Mt. Olympus-went from go karts to go karts and coasters to go karts, coasters, water park, and flat rides. It is really amazing to see the park from 2002 and now in 2007. They are completely different parks, and while still not a great park, in five years, this can be a decent(as in Six Flags) park. -

I have a 1GB card for my camera, and it can hold 30 to 60 minutes of video. I don't know the exact amount, but a 1gb can probably hold a max of 45 minutes.

10 Greatest RIDES.....Ever?
Airtime&Gravity replied to BeemerBoy's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
In no order Pirates of the Caribbean-A fun dark ride, and just an awsome ride Haunted Mansion-The premier haunted house that can't be beat Cyclone-A classic coaster that continues to be a great ride even though it is 80 years old Magnum-The coaster that brought the mania to build the world's fastest coaster to new heights Expedition GeForce-the ultimate steel coaster Voyage-A long, fast, and thrilling wooden coaster built by a relatively new company Tower of Terror-A heavily themed free fall ride that thrills people of all ages Nemesis-A heavily themed, intense, and fast inverted coaster that does not go above tree level Storm Runner-Probably one of the best launched coaster built Blue Fall-the ultimate free fall ride -

I love SFSTL, and I think it is great that they are finally building a new coaster. Even if it is a family coaster, it is still a great addition to the park, and families should love it. Even if it has some crappy theme, it should still be a fun ride. My only complaint is the location of the ride, I think a better location would be in the front by B:TR or in the area by Shazam. Airtime-Can't be worse than Ragin Cajun-&Gravity.
